Hey, this guy's name is mentioned in the DVD commentary! But I couldn't really make it out well. It was "The {something} Locomotive." --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 02:52, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Though there's a part of me that thinks it's "The Fort Wayne Locomotive." Though that's only a guess. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 02:53, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
Arrrg... This is this time of the year where I wish I could buy the new-best-thing product everoone is talking about and help out with the new pages.. But nooooo. Thank you very much, HRWiki for making me drool on my keyboard. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:27, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
Jay, I also hear "The Fort Wayne Locomotive" and since both of us heard that, I decided to add it to the article since I heard it distinctly. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 03:40, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
Why don't we move this to "The Fort Wayne Locomotive," seeing as how that's his official title? I hear that as well. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 20:20, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Done. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 05:09, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Where is his name on the DVD? Can't find it. Don't wanna till you tell me. Homfrog 12:06, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Never mind, just actually read the article. Homfrog 12:07, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Joke?

you know, TBC might have been joking. The Fort Wayne Locomotive sounds too wierd for even TBC-- Benol, aka Coach B 21:20, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

Well, maybe football players had weird nicknames back then. I remember hearing something remotely similar to The Fort Wayne Locomotive somewhere, but I can't remember what... oh well. Has Matt? (talk) 21:23, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
It seems like they made the name up on the spot and, to me at least, it shouldn't be considered canon. We haven't moved Baby Styles to Cynthentia even though Strong Bad states that's her name in the rock opera commentary. —Zelinda 23:28, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
The difference between the two is that Baby Styles was actually called Baby Styles in animal. I think this move should be more compared to the move of The Man With The Huge Mouth to Arrow'd Guy, i.e. a character without an actual name being given a name (even as a joke/piece of quick thinking). --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 00:12, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
Well, some IP has put down that his name is a reference to some football player called "Night Train Lane". I'm assuming he/she is correct. Has Matt? (talk) 19:06, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
I put it there because of the possible connection between "Night Train" and "Locomotive". Retromaniac
Well, good to see you've created an account, Retromainac! The Wiki might be able to make use of your football knowledge somethyme in the future. Has Matt? (talk) 03:15, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Significant update: Two years past this discussion, The Fort Wayne Locomotive is named as such in a toon. So, nope. Not a joke. Real name, however weird. --DorianGray 09:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pac-Fort?

His eyes look like Pac-Man's eyes. Weird, huh? HAJ 20:39, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] He Spoke in The Ballad of the Sneak.

His first speaking role was in The Ballad of The Sneak. He had one line, but still, a line. Ugozima Talk to me 02:10, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Fort Wayne Pistons

The Fort Wayne Pistons had a Z for a logo after their sponsor, Zolliner Pistons. Reference mayhaps? StarFox 22:27, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Conflict over picture.

So here's the deal: Marzifan uploaded a new version picture of Fort Wayne, without discussion. So let's discuss it now. The new version lacks The Sneak and gives a clearer shot of his uniform, but is a larger file size (which is usually not a good thing) and isn't used anywhere else. The question is: do we change it?--Jellote wuz here 17:02, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Larger file size and not used elsewhere are not a big deal. The edits that certain users make to "optimize image filesize" just ADD bulk to the wiki, because it stores all old versions of the images as well, and the thumbnails won't retain the optimization because they're auto-generated. Basically, the concerns you raise are not crucial to a discussion. — Defender1031*Talk 00:40, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
