A small taste

A little bit to whet your appetite:

MATT: That's another thing, is that when we're animating, um, we have another resource that we have absolutely nothing to do with, something that's totally fan driven, it's awesome, the Homestar Runner Wiki, uh, appeared, one day, and it's so exhaustive, it's wonderful. Mike and I, like we don't—we never figured out what the hell a shared library is or how to use it and so we will go, uh, "this one has Strong Bad sitting on a couch," so we have be like, "all right, which one has him on a couch," and we'd have to go back and figure it out, but now we have the Homestar Wiki and we just go on and write "couch" or "orange couch" and it brings up like five emails that have Strong Bad on the couch. {audience laughter} And so, it's pretty great. It's very, very, uh, it's extremly all inclusive and sometimes scary. There are pictures of friends that we had never seen on there and, {imitates wiki user voice} "Oh, this is their best friend!" {slight pause, now with a questioning tone} How, did you—are these people in our house taking pictures of our friends?

This is a really late reply, but I gotta clarify what the press pass was. It's not a snazzy little card or something, it's really hard to describe, but it's not scannable. It's sort of a wallet type thing, with a clear pocket on it, and your name and the news place you're fron printed on plain paper, and stuck inside. It's also got a string for you to wear it around your neck. I will try and take a picture with the webcam and upload it sometime later though. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 01:28, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

There, it's over 1/5th done. (The boring 1/5th). I'll work on it more a bit later. The annoying this is I can't figure out how to get images off of the camera for the time being. Verb tense

Once the text of the article is mostly complete, we need to standardize the verb tense, using either present or past. I think past tense makes the most sense. — It's dot com 07:00, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

I talked to the other guys about adding a link to "play the game", and the general decision is still no fanstuff on the Knowledge Base. But since this is sort of a special case, we decided on giving it a prominent display on the talk page, which you just did. If you want, feel free to move it to the top of the talk page, and add instructions and links to playing it. FYI, it wouldn't need a Fanstuff Wiki program to use. Someone could very well upload a copy of Stinkoman 20X6 onto the wiki's server with that code in the XML of Level 1. (and then leave the XMLs of all the other levels blank so as to not "cross the line".) And then we could just link directly to that. - Joshua 02:28, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Facial-Hair Mike

Subtitles

Matt mentioned that there is a SWF that somebody made which allows subtitles to easily be added to Flash.

Zeggo vs. Sago

According to "Who are the bandwidth providers?" the providers are Zeggonet, but according to the current FAQ the hosts are Sagonet. Which article is right? --ENUSY 05:59, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
