While it is true that Firebert is the only one to make a Cheat-like noise in the cartoons, I'm still tempted to wonder if this is enough to make it that he speaks like The Cheat all the time, as he's only ever "said" one thing throughout the course of the toons, that being his The Cheat-sigh when Gunhaver told him to "stay here and think of a better commando name!"

:Well, since he's been silent in all his other appearances, it's a likely conclusion. The facts given. Deduce. I had too many words and not enough ways to explain my point using them. At any rate, since he only had one line, and it was The Cheat-like, we can conclude something from that. --DorianGray

::On the other hand, he has one sigh-like noise, which really isn't enough to assume much of anything from.  It is by rule just as likely that all "Cheat Commandos" sigh like "The Cheat," as I don't think we've heard any others express disapointment in that way thus far. Shouldn't the character from Cheat Commandos have his own seperate page?  The Cheat we all know and love in his Firebert suit from army and more armies, should only be noted on The Cheat's character page, but the Firebert from the Cheat Commandos TV show is no more The Cheat than any of the other cheat commandos are.  Yeah, Firebird was inspired by The Cheat in army, but weren't they all?--Antisexy 05:01, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Could Firebert be a reference to the Dilbert comic strip's tendency to end character names in "-bert," i.e. Dogbert, Catbert, Ratbert, etc.? 21:38, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FireBERT?

Now, I may be totally wrong, but isn't the Cheat's Cheat commando name fireBIRD? HRfan222

No, the line is "Firebert, you stay here and think of a better commando name." — Lapper (talk) 21:19, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
(But don't worry, I made the same mistake.) —FireBird|Talk 21:19, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Also, check out the Easter egg at the end of this toon. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 21:21, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speaking Like The Cheat?

While it is true that Firebert is the only one to make a Cheat-like noise in the cartoons, I'm still tempted to wonder if this is enough to make it that he speaks like The Cheat all the time, as he's only ever "said" one thing throughout the course of the toons, that being his The Cheat-sigh when Gunhaver told him to "stay here and think of a better commando name!" Well, since he's been silent in all his other appearances, it's a likely conclusion. The facts given. Deduce. I had too many words and not enough ways to explain my point using them. At any rate, since he only had one line, and it was The Cheat-like, we can conclude something from that. --DorianGray 18:34, 5 December 2006
On the other hand, he has one sigh-like noise, which really isn't enough to assume much of anything from. It is by rule just as likely that all "Cheat Commandos" sigh like "The Cheat," as I don't think we've heard any others express disapointment in that way thus far. Thus we should not assume either to be true based on the limited information available at this time. - Ilko Skevüld's Teh C 20:08, 5 December 2006
I suppose we can let the issue rest for now, because we don't really know. Hopefully, sometime soon, Firebert will actually get a speaking role in one of these cartoons, and then we'll know for sure. What adds to the ambiguity of it is the fact that Strong Bad used a normal voice for Firebert (as opposed to imitating The Cheat noises) in The Original Commercial. --President Cold One 21:37, 7 December 2006

[edit] Firebert (character) vs. The Cheat a.k.a Firebert

I've actually always thought of Firebert being The Cheat. I like how it's never made clear whther they are two different characters ;-) Loafing 05:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, the Cheat Commandos show is fiction within the H*R universe. From The Cheat's perspective, Firebert from the show doesn't really exist. It's possible (although unlikely, I say) that The Cheat voices the character, but they can't really be the same person.--Antisexy 05:48, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
