Two Type Things

  1. Is my description of the toon at the top good enough? I wrote it kinda quick and I wasn't sure if someone else would change it. If you peoples think it's good, then I'm fine with it staying.
  2. This probably won't happen, but this toon's really making me want to have Featured Articles again and feature Anonymous. That would be pretty hilarious— imagine The Brothers Chaps' reaction if they visited the wiki and saw that on the front page. Disclaimer: I say this not even having been aware of the wiki back when there were featured articles. Lira (talk) 16:24, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
  1. I think it's great! It's got several syncopations.
  2. That would be hilarious. I've been hoping for years that featured articles would start again. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 06:15, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Gunhavette is...?

Would Gunhavette go in the characters or costumes cast list? Guybrush20X6 02:44, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, she should be linked somewhere. If anything, it would be the character cast list— the woman really dressed up as Gunhaver, not Gunhavette. On the other hand, she only appears in inanimate action figure form, so I'm thinking maybe neither. Hmm... if there's a Fun Fact that mentions her, we could put a link there... Lira (talk) 05:06, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Yes, she only appears in action figure form, but she still appears. We should include her in the cast list, and Gunhaver in the costumes list. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 06:15, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Is anyone doing the subtitles?

If not, I'd love to do at least part of them. I'll start writing it right now... someone please let me know if I'm wasting my time. Lira (talk) 05:29, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

I certainly wasn't planning on doing 'ems, so... yeah. Go ahead. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 06:15, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Okay cool great thanks! I'm currently up to the beginning of the Homestar Jr. costume (I work fast in the just-after-midnight hours!). Might need to stop at some point and resume tomorrow though... Lira (talk) 06:18, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
Update just to reassure people that I'm still working as fast as I can: I just finished the A+ #1 All-Pro Panache segment. Lira (talk) 07:44, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
And... I'm done. Wow... that was the latest I've ever stayed up... to do anything of remote importance. I'm quite proud of myself. Lira (talk) 09:05, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Armed and Marzipan'd

I'm not sure about the transcription of this line. I don't here the "'d" at the end, I hear it as "armed and Marzipan". Anyone else? — Defender1031*Talk 01:35, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

As the transcriber of said line... I do hear a "d". It's very faint, but I'm 80% sure it's there. Lira (talk) 02:03, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Listening to it with earphones on max volume, I think what you're hearing is the fading "n" sound. "Marzipan" makes sense, especially given the reference I pointed out below. "Marzipan'd" doesn't make any sense at all, as the original phrase ("armed and dangerous") doesn't end in "'d". — Defender1031*Talk 02:13, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

No-armed and Marzipan

Does anyone else thing the line is a subtle reference to Lack of Visible Arms? The joke being that the woman in the picture has arms and is being Marzipan (who does not typically have arms). — Defender1031*Talk 01:35, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Pretty sure the joke is entirely the fact she has arms. - Catjaz63 01:52, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
I wouldn't say "entirely"... It's obviously a play on "armed and dangerous". — Defender1031*Talk 01:54, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
It didn't occur to me immediately, but I thought of that about the second or third time I watched it. It's probably a reference... it's unlikely that would be a coincidence. Lira (talk) 02:03, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

for kids

  • Similarly, his subsequent freakout is reminiscent of the one in for kids, and uses the same record scratch sound.

This was recently removed. However, it's the first thing I thought of, and is, (in my opinion) remarkably similar. I think it belongs. — Defender1031*Talk 16:27, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
