Eh! Steve vs. Eh! Steve!
This has been moved back and forth from Eh! Steve to Eh! Steve! now. I'm inclined to move it back to Eh! Steve! because that's how it's written in HomestarRunner.com PAY PLUS!: "Meet Eh! Steve!'s lawyer!" 21:12, 20 Jul 2005 (UTC)

: Ah, but in the icons downloadable from crazy cartoon, it's Eh! Steve, no second exclamation point. -- 21:19, 20 Jul 2005 (UTC)

::Nope. I think it's a reference to the Seinfeld episode called "The Kiss Hello" where, at around 12m43s, Kramer goes "Eh!....Steve!" 109.157.52.51 15:34, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Eh! Steve! might be a joke in reference to the Seinfeld episode where Kramer staples people's pictures to the wall in the lobby. Jerry says hi to someone while looking for his picture and that person's name was Steve. Jerry ended up saying, "Hey...Steve!" -- 14:21, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

:Eh! Steve! could reference lots of things. So TTATOT. 14:23, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Eh! Steve! only says one thing, if at all. And I'm pretty sure it's said in an Italian accent. I guess it could be Greek, due to the patterns on his quadrangle... those seem like Greek motifs to me. Didn't Strong Bad talk about his shape once? Or was it just "Eh! Steve! isn't really a person?" ---Ransom (--69.105.84.54 04:59, 17 September 2007 (UTC))

:Definitely Italian, like Arthur Fonzarelli ("Ayyy, Richie!"), but that is a Greek pattern. However, remember the ancient Romans annexed Greece and occasionally borrowed their culture (i.e. Greek deities). 05:57, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

::Doesn't sound even vaguely Italian to me.  Nor did Arthur Fonzarelli have anything Italian about his accent. -- jjcote 71.124.150.164 03:47, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Eh Steve might be a reference to the former host of Blues Clues, Steve, who left to show for some reasons. Eh Greg! Might be a reference to the new host that replaced him, even though his name isn't greg.-- 00:47, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

:umm... if the only connection you have is one name, where the second one doesn't match, then why do you think it's a reference? 00:52, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

:Nope. But in haircut, Strong Bad imitates Eh! Steve! but says "Eh! Greg!" instead. 04:13, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Breakout Star?
Can Eh! Steve! really be called a breakout star? He seemed more popular than Sherlock from the get-go. After all, he was the one featured in The Cheat's Crazy Cartoon.  I think that he was always meant to be the main character. 19:55, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

:Strong Bad: "The main character would look like a mix between a cow and a helicopter." this is not Eh! Steve!. Sherlock was probably meant to be the main character at the beginning, but you can't really go very far with a character whose "talking would be just these weird sounds, and no words." In fact, Eh! Steve! has only said one thing so far, so by that logic, it's a wonder that he hasn't been passed in popularity by The Wheelchair and The Worm. I don't think we're using that logic though. Then again, since when did this cartoon ever try to make any sense or use rules of logic? 20:05, 18 January 2011 (UTC)

::Well, Eh! Steve! can't really say much either. 21:41, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
