[edit] Screenshots?

Can somebody get screenshots of the other comics of Dullard on the DVD? My stupid computer won't let me do it.--DumDe 15:30, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • Just push Print screen on the comic you want and then paste on something like paint.--72.172.198.130 21:18, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Retitle article

To avoid confusin this article should be retitled Dullard (comic)

Yeah, that makes sence, Anonny. I'll go do that.--DumDe

How does it make sense? There's no "Dullard" page. - Joshua 20:40, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Wait... isn't there? Oh weird. Well, it doesnt really matter if its called Dullard (Comic), because searching "Dullard" comes to this page. --— talk Bubsty edits
The qualifier doesn't really do anything that the capitalization doesn't, and there are clear disambiguations at the top of each page. I have reverted this move. — It's dot com 03:10, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reprinting of the dialogue necessary?

Does all the character dialogue need to be reprinted (like what was done for #1 for each panel)? I can see the reason for the text if the actual strip screen shot is thumbnailed. However, I think that takes away from the enjoyment of the comic if one has to read it like a transcript with all those curly braces/brackets. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 20:22, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Upon second glance, it appears that the screen shots from the DVD version are rather blurry and reading the text is somewhat cumbersome. Perhaps I should discard all the JPEGS I uploaded and replace them with much smaller PNGs. That, however, would more-or-less require us to "transcribe" all the dialogue. Any thoughts? —THE PAPER PREEEOW 20:26, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

It looks fine as it is for the DVD ones. It would be nice if they all followed the same format style, like the first one be a picture only, not transcribed.--DumDe 23:53, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Capital idea, DumDe! I went ahead and replaced the old, smaller screen shot with a larger, easier-to-read one. Therefore, I went ahead and removed the reprinted text. It wasn't really necessary in the first place and it already appears under the easter egg section of dullard anyway. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 03:06, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Are we even allowed to show DVD-exclusive comics here? Isn't that the same as showing mirrors to DVD toons? - Joshua

I agree. This is giving away stuff that TBC did not intend to make free. If we want the wiki to help TBC and the website, we shouldn't work against them by thwarting their merchandise sales. — Bill 14:01, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dullard #4(SBE #161) -- Just a Comment

Wow. Dullard #4 is pretty violent compared to the previous installments. Heh! ~ Jessica Ingmann 13:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dullard (4 branches) alt version

I've upped a cleaner version of the 4 branches comic to fit with the others (rotated back, other elements removed). Image:dullard-4_branches.png Blendage 14:00, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Perfect. Nice work. —BazookaJoe 14:36, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Characters!

Does anybody think it would be a good idea to have some short descriptions of all the Dullard characters and their personalities, or are they just too identical to the Dilbert characters? I'm not sure, because I'm not extremely familiar with Dilbert. Omnisweater 01:58, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

I think there's not enough information about them. Pretty much anything we could say woulod be limited to physical descriptions. Anything beyond that would be assumption and speculation. — Defender1031*Talk 02:07, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
I don't really agree. There seem to be some obvious personality traits and relationships that appear multiple times. Omnisweater 14:07, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
Care to elaborate? — Defender1031*Talk 18:34, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
The negative relationship between Dullard and the female coworker, Dullard's sarcasm and laziness, Dullard's relationship with his friend, etc. But like I said, it might not be necessary if the characters are the same as the Dilbert characters. On the other hand, it is the wiki's purpose to document everything homestarrunner-related, even they are just characters that appear in a few easter eggs... Omnisweater 21:01, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Bossyface

Can we really assume that's the character's name? (It's assumed here, not this page, but it's a more appropriate discussion here.) Okay, one person calls him that one time, but it could just be a weird nickname. --Jaybor Day (Talk) 02:31, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

I propose an experiment. Go into work tomorrow and address your boss as such. Then, make sure your next job (since you're gonna need one) is actually supervised by someone named bossyface, then when you've witnessed the difference, come back to me. And yes, i am probably reading too much into a 3 frame comic imitating another 3 frame comic, but i don't care. — Defender1031*Talk 02:34, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Inside references?

Does this page need an Inside Reference section? 'Cause I found a few. One example is the new horse I.T. professional: Strong Bad once said that the broken Tandy and Compy couldn't check an email with the help of horses dressed as I.T. professionals.

That's not an inside reference, that's the joke. The strip in which that horse appears is accessible only via easter egg in the first few seconds after strong bad says that. — Defender1031*Talk 04:02, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
