To be diggity-deleted
I can maybe accept the page itself - though that's debatable. But that "Blackstreet" ref has gotta go. It's too general a... word?... to pin down to them specifically. --Jay o'Lantern (Haunt) 19:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- A quick search reveals that a song called Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom) was published in 1956.
I doubt that's the earliest "diggity" but the point is thatIt's laughable to think the word originated with a 1996 song. I'm killing the supposed reference to "No Diggity".

- I just noticed that the Wikipedia article for "Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom)" does claim that: "The song was the source of the phrase, "hot diggity dog!", an expression of great delight which was popular in the 1950s and 1960s." So maybe that should be in the article.

- I'm all for deleting this page. when i linked to instances of the word in my revert summary it wasn't with the intention that this page be created. There's nothing remarkable about its use, nor anything tying the instances together. — Defender1031*Talk 19:35, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
