Refining the running gag

I realize that what I'm about to mention is mostly my own fault since I added a lot of these near the article's creation, but I think that we need to refine the running gag here. The repeated joke is the combination of several unlikely foods (or at least a few) into a gross concoction. The prime examples of this are Chocozuma's revenge and The Poopsmith's cake. Others, such as the Lightbulb Sandwich, don't really fit. If I could get some other users to chime in, I'd like to refine this page by removing the examples that don't fit as well:

Clear Cases

I think that these definitely fit the running joke:

  • Bronco trolleys
  • Suudsu
  • Piemonade
  • Chocozuma's Revenge
  • The Poopsmith's cake
  • SBLOUNSKCHED!
  • The King of Town's Last Three Items in the Pantry Special!

Big Stretches

I don't think that these ones qualify, either because they don't have enough ingredients or because they're not gross enough:

  • Marshmallows and maple syrup
  • Marshmallows and tomatoes
  • A real fruit smoothie
  • Marzipan's magic brew
  • Listerine in the Punch
  • Lightbulb Sandwich

Questionable Cases

These ones fall somewhere in the middle; I'm not sure if they fit with the gag or not:

  • Sour cream and The Cheat hair
  • A gumball-and-baloney sandwich

Does anybody have any comments about my divisions? If there's agreement, I'll remove the "big stretches", and perhaps the "questionable cases". Thanks, Trey56 06:29, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Naw, I think you done good with this page; I think all of these are concoctions. I mean, as tasty as marshmallows and tomatoes sound, {shutters} I probably wouldn't have a sudden craving for such a delicacy. As a first rule for this page, (I believe at this point in time), I think you should first ask yourself "Would I eat it?" Now, this isn't a fool-proof plan, but it's a start. Anyone else? kai lyn 14:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
A better question is, "Would I cringe and throw up if I ate it?" ;-) Real foods can't count (real fruit smoothie) or the marshmallow ones, but I think Marzipan's brew, the lightbulb sandwich, and the Poopsmith's cake should be on the page (also the questionable cases). A witch's brew is the very definition of a concoction and the other ones are just gross and inedible. I don't know if this is reliable judgment, but it's my opinion. -Brightstar Shiner 23:10, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
