Why isn't this listed here? (I'd put it myself, 'cept I dunno where it goes on the page. Although it says NeoMonster Island, my friend says it's an offshoot of somethingawful.com.) --DorianGray

Contents

New "The Wotch" sighting

In the 1/18/06 filler comic, Anne and Robyn have staffs, with Coach Z's medallions at the ends. --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)

Seen it, and if you read the caption, it has to do with Oz (as in, the Wizard of). I don't think it's a reference. It just looks similar. Link for those who don't read it. --DorianGray

Cloogle has a Population: Tire reference.

New Pokemon X Comment.

One of the charecters makes a comment to a piece of candy being "Soo Good." Wouldn't that be a reference to Teen Girl Squad?

No. All it means is that a piece of candy is good, anything could say that something is Soo Good. all it means is that it is good. I have deleted it from the page. Keep searching for actual references though, some out there are pretty cool. -- The McArby! 03:51, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

VG Cats

I think it's debatable whether VG Cats should be listed here or on the Website Sightings page. The Homestar references are scattered throughout the site, including outside of the comic itself. I think the section should be moved. — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 14:52, 13 November 2006

VG Cats is primarily a comic, though, so it makes sense to include here. --DorianGray

Jargly jargon

Jargle is a real word, but a Google search for "what's that jargle" pretty much only returns Homestar Runner-related or post-Folky-Tale results. And "What's this jargle" returns zipall. That said, do you think this counts as a reference? --Jay o'Lantern (Haunt) 07:14, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Considering the other references CHEER! has made, I'd say so. --DorianGray 21:04, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Page Reorg

Like Website Sightings, this page gets a lot of activity and is now over 100 entries. Any ideas on how to do a reorganization? Splitting A-N, M-Z? Culling references? Having collapsing categories? wbwolf (t | ed) 18:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, now there's another. I just posted a sighting. But I think it should be broken up in different pages, like you said, A-N M-Z. Maybe I could list A-N as part 1 and M-Z as part 2. That way, you wouldn't have to scroll that far down/up the page. He can't say job. Don't say jorb 101 Seriously, he can't say job! 8:40 PM, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

PrtSc Land?

I have a webcomic called PrtSc Land that has Homestar Runner references, why isn't it on here? EDIT: I didn't sign my post originally because I didn't know how to, and I don't have an account OR a constant IP address so there's no point in signing it, but I'm signing anyways now 72.251.10.211 22:47, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

A Conundrum...

In this March 8th guest strip on idrewthis, a paper can be seen labelled "Da News Papes." (Not more than) two prablems:

First, is this a website or comic sighting? The site was formerly purely a webcomic, but is now more politics blog than comic site. Obviously it is not a simple "I watched H*R today, then I had a piece of toast" reference, which is definitely unnotable, but is this significant enough?

Second, should I (or we at the Wiki) consider the content of the comic itself? While it's not vulgar or profane (in the traditional definition), some people might find the...idea of it highly offensive. One might guess that a common interest in H*R doesn't necessarily mean a common worldview. I won't state my opinion on the content here, of course, as I feel such things should be kept separate from this wiki, but is it necessary to mark? Clearly, "some readers find this offensive." However, that template is almost always used for foul language.

I have rambled enough on both points. Please, HRWiki regulars, mods, and anonnies, view it for yourselves so that we can decide as a group. Is this offensive, inoffensive, or even notable at all?

The comic in its original page. -- Onamuji (b/w T. C.  ) 01:15, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Time Suck

Would this comic by Joe Mathlete count as Website or Comic sighting? [1]--97.73.64.173 19:08, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Another Runaways Reference?

In Runaways, while fighting robots, Molly says something like: "It tickles when they a splode!" Should this be considered a reference?

Very yes it should, and I'm not just saying that as a big Runaways fan (and a Molly fan in particular). =3 --DorianGray 22:10, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Sonic the Hedgehog Comic had No Reference

I deleted the Sonic section, for I believed there to be no reference. The term 'A Splode' has become commonly known, with some people knowing it through the toons, others through its original source (What it is I forget), and others still heard it from someone else. Now, if Bean had mentioned Sonic's HEAD, that would be different.--HRWiki Greg 21:33, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes, it may have been indirect, but H*R coined it. Therefore, a reference, abliet an accidental one. --Jellote wuz here 21:36, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
