Let's see: so far, the Arturo 9000 has been used to help answer hremails #62 and #2000 (assuming these numbers are true which would be odd as this would give the Arturo a ''very'' long reign of at least 1938 hremails). The Happy 8600 was used to answer email thunder, which was the first hremail to be released on the website and can be assumed to be hremail #>49. Because the Arturo did not make an appearance in email thunder, it can be assumed that Homestar Runner was not using the microfiche reader at that time (or at least not in that particular hremail). In addition, the Happy 8600 did not appear in hremails #62 and #2000, so it can be assumed that the computer was not being used by Homestar. Therefore, the most likely conclusion would seem that the Arturo has indeed replaced the Happy. Of course, if email thunder happened to be hremail #>2000, then it would have been the other way round if TBC have decided to show us "old" hremails that were answered before the Happy was destroyed, instead of "newer" emails that were answered afterwards. Or, you know, they just wanted to screw with our minds by not having any continuity with the hremails whatsoever. Until more evidence is provided in the next hremail, we can only make an educated guess as to what is the most likely succession, which is basically what DeFender said a few posts ago. {{User:The Chort/sig}} 20:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Before or after the Happy?

I recently edited this article to say that Arturo may be either a predecessor of or successor to the Happy 8600, but my edit got removed for being, and I quote, 'Not really notable...'. But the fact remains that since email thunder very strongly implied that HREmails ran parallel to SBEmails without our knowing, HREmail 62 is very possibly a past email, and therefore, Arturo is thus probably a predecessor to the Happy. What should our official opinion be? Predecessor or successor? --220.235.114.241 01:39, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Any such interpretation is speculative in nature, which is mainly why I removed it. -128.103.10.17 01:44, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I actually don't think we should assume one way or the other, since that, too, is speculation. How about if I posted a shortened version of the edit? I could replace the third sentence with 'The Arturo 9000 seems to have either replaced the Happy 8600, which Strong Bad destroyed with Mountain Dew in email thunder, or came before it.' I could optionally remove the 'seems to have' part. --220.235.114.241 02:48, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it seems likely that it preceded the Happy 8600, as the numbered Happy emails have numbers that are clearly lower than 62. BBG 03:05, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
But the happy appeared in email thunder. There is a third option no one seems to have considered, which is he has both of them simultaneously. Remember, the arturo isn't a computer. But seriously, at this point it's pure speculation as we just don't have enough evidence. — Defender1031*Talk 13:58, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Let's see: so far, the Arturo 9000 has been used to help answer hremails #62 and #2000 (assuming these numbers are true which would be odd as this would give the Arturo a very long reign of at least 1938 hremails). – The Chort 20:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Canon FR300

For what it's worth, Arturo 9000 seems to resemble a Canon FR300 microfilm reader... see page 3 of this document http://www.adem.co.uk/pdf/canonreaders.pdf 173.70.26.51 05:40, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm sorry Homestar, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I'm wondering whether the 9000 is a reference to HAL, but it might just be a coincidence. EASports 17:53, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
