Talk:Analysis of Senor Cardgage's Speech Patterns

I don't think this is necessary. What he says usually makes sense, just his words are a lot of portmanteaus and malapropisms. — Defender1031*Talk 00:11, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. DorianGray already has a subpage of this subject with more quotes to boot. BBG 00:13, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Well, then, maybe DorianGray should make that page public, rather than just a subpage. MHarrington 00:24, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think the reason it's a subpage is because it doesn't belong in the main namespace. — Defender1031*Talk 00:32, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I think the reason was more of that Dorian didn't think it belongs in the main namespace. IIRC, it wasn't put through discussion by the wiki community at large. -128.103.10.17 00:47, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- This is coming from someone who thinks we should delete Analysis of Homsar's Speech Patterns, mind, but this is completely unhelpful. Other than in Non-Sequitur Champion, everything Senor Cardgage says is just a few letters off from making perfect sense. What's more, this is just explaining the joke, which we make a point of avoiding around here. --Jaybor Day (Talk) 00:52, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Unlike Homsar, Senor Cardgage's quotes usually have a pretty easy-to-translate meaning. The only one I can think of that doesn't is "Oh, I should eat a pony," which even this page can't give an explanation for. —Guard Duck talk 01:17, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Precisely what Jay and Deffy said. I may have made a subpage on it, but it was mostly done out of the curiosity of seeing how his lines match up to more typical English. I did put some work into it, true, but if you look at some of the other sections, I don't take it seriously. I mostly made it in order to keep it out of the main namespace. And if you aren't convinced I'm not a fan of the speech pattern analysis pages, look at the one for the Drive-Thru Whale's that I did for April Fool's. =3 --DorianGray 04:56, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Oddly enough, you could actually make a Drive-Thru Whale page that works, since some of his ramblings are actually applicable in SBCG4AP (the first, second, and fourth episodes in particular.) Not that I'm promoting such an idea. --Jaybor Day (Talk) 05:36, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- Some of them are, but the majority of them aren't (and none of them were at the time I made that page). The ones that aren't would probably end up like most of Homsar's explanations. But that's neither here nor there right now; I'm just saying it so nobody gets any ideas. --DorianGray 05:40, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

- This page seems neccisary, so yeah, let's keep. --Jellote 23:28, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- Strong (mad) keep! The Homsar speech patterns are kept, and I like research pages. --Fangoriously 00:19, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
