Chinese Dating and cash Matters

-

-
Many teen, Single far east women, Particularly those who are fresh from college or just about to graduate have been shown to lean toward economic security when you're thinking of marriage. If surveys are to be taken at face value, Then their Chinese dating goals often only involve having a rich man to marry. But items are not so simple, Especially taking a look at Chinese attitudes toward relationships and marriage.

-

-
Previous surveys of students have shown that most girls want to marry men with rich parents or who are rich in their own right so that they will have less struggles in life, Or none all that. investment, It appears to be, Holds a lot more weight than a man's character or than love.

-

-
It can be remarked that because the job market in China nowadays is very tough and, in addition to, Prices to be able to rise, Seeking security through marriage is the practical method to use. having, Having love alone doesn't invariably guarantee a healthy relationship, while financial problems lead to disharmony.

-

-
at that time, It is just as common sexy chinese girl for men to desire wives who are young and beautiful as it is for young ladies to desire a husband who can provide economic stability. These yearns for, However shallow and good, Do not always preclude the chance of love, Nor do they always signify lack of sincerity and good reasons.

-

-
A rich man who marries such a woman often knows exactly that his being rich is a factor in the girl decision to marry him; If it's the only factor or the key one, It is only going to matter if he was deceived into believing otherwise. The same goes for a man who chooses a woman for his wife because she is aged beautiful.

-

-
A Chinese woman can marry a rich man on most, valuable, or perhaps materialistic, Reasons and she can also sincerely love him and wish to devote her whole life to him. Love with money involved doesn't imply that the love is shallow or fake, Just like love without money doesn't imply that the love is the true kind.

-

-
Romantics always say that true love is all that is needed in a healthy relationship. reality would prove them wrong, having said that. Foreign men seeking a Chinese wife really should not be too quick to judge as shallow, Materialistic, Or gold diggers those who list owning a house and/or having a certain income as criteria for their potential partner. They must first understand the reasons behind these women's standards.

-

-
They must also be fair to these women and take time to get to know them better. It is still easy for love to blossom. Stereotyping a woman based on a cursory glance at her online dating services profile or based on her inquiries about his economic status is not only unfair; He may be depriving himself of an opportunity to meet the real, Good person underneath it, One who would actually make an ideal wife.

-

-
When truly dating, Foreign men must take time to learn not just about the culture that shaped the Chinese women they meet and will meet, But also the current issues that continue to impact their attitudes toward dating and encounters. eventually, Being stereotyped goes both ways and they would should also be given the same chance to prove themselves and their good intentions.

Minor item?

With two incidental appearances, does this have enough for a page? At very least, this page needs to be cleaned up with an image. Personally, I'd rather see this redirected. wbwolf (t | ed) 03:09, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Heck no at all. I imagine seeing this on the items page. As I quote from every running gag talk page that has been deleted: "It needs to have three really good references and not two coincidental ones." Merge with items. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 03:35, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Homestar Runner Wiki was made for everything Homestar Runner. Air Cardgage has been shown more than once on the site. So it should get it's own page shouldn't it?
Look, it takes THREE GOOD REFERENCES TO MAKE A PAGE LIKE THIS, IN CASE YOU FAILED TO READ MY POST. IT IS NOT NEEDED. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 19:19, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Let's not get carried away, Michael, there have certainly been exceptions to that rule. In this case, however, its appearances have been minor enough for it to only be allowed a slot on the items page. —Guard Duck talk 19:22, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Look at the junkyard page. It only has one reference and it is barely seen and yet it still has its own page. I even think it is just behind the fence. Kevo411

First of all, MichaelXX2, WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING? Secondly, according to the Inclusion guidelines (which I want you to have a read over), a H*R-specific item or location "needs only one appearance in Homestar Runner toons, as long as it played an important role in the plot." The three references rule only applies to possible running gags. I'm leaning towards a keep and a major cleanup, simply because I didn't know that Senor Cardgage had his own brand of shoes and wouldn't have known this if this article hadn't been created. Also, we've kept articles on minor items which few appearnces before, (i.e. C'mon! It's FOG!). – The Chort 19:46, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree. I think this page is being judged on its current appearance and not on its merits. It would make a fine page. I also think people need to gain a better grasp of the "three appearances" rule. — Defender1031*Talk 19:48, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Completely agree with Defendemup Dan -128.103.10.200 20:04, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I was reminded of The Blue Ones article after I posted the note. So, maybe something like this? wbwolf (t | ed) 20:24, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I think it looks good. -128.103.10.200 20:30, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
You know, I've seen items far more insignificant than this one get pages, which have survived the "pending deletion" process multiple times. Hamburger Shampoo, for instance. However, this one seems legit. It's been seen twice, and had decent screen time in its debut. The "three appearances" rule only needs to apply to running gags. I say keep. -YKHi. Reverts

Someone named wbwolf keeps saying my Air Cardgage page is untrue. But I don't understand what is untrue. Can you tell me what if there are any lies?

Well, the price you're giving is untrue, but aside from that, you're giving minor details that are not relevant to the shoes at all and just clutter the article and make it hard to read. — Defender1031*Talk 17:53, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
In Diorama Strong Bad buys the shoes and a price tage comes up with $378.99 on it. So the price is correct.
But in the easter egg, they're priced 249.99.99.99... hmm... Well that IS something that should be resolved. As for the rest of it, the details are still clunky and irrelevant. — Defender1031*Talk 18:07, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
How's this one?
I think the wording that those who have worked on the page came up with is superior. I did add the price difference thing though. — Defender1031*Talk 18:22, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
I do apologize for coming off too harshly. I had forgotten that the $378.99 price tag come up during the toon itself. However, the other problem I had with the reverts was removing all of the links and formatting that was done to improve the page, as well as the implication that Cardgage made the shoe (when it is clear he was just asked to endorse them). wbwolf (t | ed) 00:11, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Air Cardgage symbol on his head?

I would say coincidence, especially since they aren't the same colour (red vs. blue). wbwolf (t | ed) 16:19, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
