Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

After who knows how long, we finally get a toon! This truly is a D-Ween Mackerel! On to Bweeze-Ness. Here are some things I have noticed.

  • On the Main Page it says "New Holiday Toon", and when hovered over it says "For real!"
  • When Cardgage is "revived" he makes the same shine and noise as when "Eh, Steve!'s mouth exploded the universe" in Cactus Coffee and the No Tell Hotel"
  • Non specific mouthwash and the guy who says I'm going to need you to sign this makes fun of people being sued for using product names.
  • Marzipan and Homestar both sung a modified version of O, Decemberween.
  • Strong Sad being locked in the tub is a reference to other D-Ween toons.
  • This toon constantly references Cardgage's death. And hints at Homsar's
  • When Marzipan and Homestar are walking at the beginning, Homestar has footsteps and Marzi is leaving a solid trail, again hinting she is just a mass in a dress shape
  • When Cardgage comes out of the bush, he makes the same traffic noise as in his FBI warning and Hremail 3184
  • Coach Z is wearing a Blubb-Os box.
  • The Bubs scene could be an instance of duplicate characters.
  • Homeschool winner, Preshy, Rafferdy, Champeen, The Hurricane and another mass I can't identify at the end of the line are all in the bubs scence
  • The Defib unit was previously seen in the Breakfast cereal email
  • This is an toon not only in widescreen but it is big altogether even bigger than the games menu(I personally can't fit it on my screen VERTICALLY entirely)

Just things I konticed. --Geonightman 23:50, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

You should add those to the fun facts section of the article. (I could, but then you wouldn't be credited in the history.) If you're worried about formatting, don't be. Someone will fix it for you. — It's dot com 23:54, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
If you can't fit it onto your screen, press F11 (at least in IE) to view full screen. F11 again will shrink it back. Or you can view the Flash file which will automatically fit to your browser. OptimisticFool 00:39, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh shoot. I put in the part about the people in line. Sorry! I didn't know. You can do the rest of them. Rondleman! Stuff I did.Talk. 02:58, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

I am just so happy we finally have a toon again! I have been checking the website everyday for so long hoping to see one. This brightened my day!

The end of the line

Who is that guy at the end of the line before Marzipan? I have no idea. Rondleman! Stuff I did.Talk. 02:57, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

I think it's that girl from a DVD extra.--Record307 Talk/Contribs 03:14, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
That'd be three Unguraits standing on each others head. The fun facts already got it. StrongAwesome 03:19, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Marzipan's Voice

I know the sound quality is better, but does Marzipan's voice sound a little different to you guys? I don't know, it sounds more refined, for lack of a better word, maybe it's just been so long I forgot what she sounded like. I understand the sound quality is better for this one, but I don't think that has too much to do with it --The Swedish Ace 03:22, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it's different. I can't describe it either. It was different in DNA Evidence too.. according to Matt in the DVD commentary, "You can tell Melissa's got a cold here. She's a little snotty." Don't think it's the same thing here, though. OptimisticFool 03:42, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Video Lag During the End?

Anybody else have the video studder/lose synch during the end of the cartoon? I've played it about 3 times, and it does it at the same part every single time.

High horse

I think "We Come Down Off Our High Horse!" in the HTML title isn't referring to Homestar's line but rather to the Chaps themselves. They're jokingly saying they've stopped doing whatever they're doing these days long enough to make a new toon. — It's dot com 04:05, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

You know, I was actually thinking the exact same thing. I didn't want to bring it to the talk because it was a very fleeting suggestion, and I interpreted it to refer to Marzipan's line instead of Homestar's. However, if there's no more verification of this, we don't really have any means of professionally adding this to the article. If we're taking a double rainbow meaning out of this page title, we need to be absolutely sure that this indeed is a double meaning. I agree with Dot com here. It wouldn't be the first time they've acknowledged a long break between toons, and it was also something that definitely crossed my mind when I read it the first time. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 04:16, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Makes sense to me. SaltyTalk! 04:26, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Screen size

Is there a way of watching this toon without having to scroll? Not the Flash file, the HTML toon. RickTommy (edits) 05:09, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

You could do any of the following:
  1. Get Firefox, get Greasemonkey, then get Phlip's All-in-one script, which includes a feature to automagically make the toon the size of you screen.
  2. Press F11 to make your browser go fullscreen (this is standard across all browsers).
  3. Increase the resolution of your screen by going to control panel and then under Appearance and Personalization there should be a link that says "Adjust Screen Resolution" (at least that's on Vista, might be slightly different in 7 and probably similar in OS X).
  4. Buy a bigger monitor/better video card.
--Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 05:18, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
You could also lower the font-size (Cmd minus or Ctrl minus), that's what I did. --Hatkirby 11:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
If you have Firefox, I suspect this add-on will downsize any too-large 'toons as well as embiggening the small ones. Octan 00:36, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Sports

When Marzipan said "Senor Cardgage won first place in sports" it reminded me of the reporter in Coach Z's 110% that said "Homestar Runner, you just won the sports". So now I'm wondering if there's any other time the term "sports" is used in place of an actual sport, and if not, if this seems notable in any way at all.

Oh yeah also when Coach Z pops out of the snow before Cardgage appears there's a line in the snow where he came out that disappears before the scene zooms in.--Topmonhit 05:33, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Rejected Characters

Can we get a shot of the rejected characters. It only lasts for like three seconds. StarFox 20:15, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Cardgage's Dialogue

Cardgage usually calls people women's names, but here, he doesn't say any female names at all; in fact, he uses a MALE name at one point. Did anyone else notice this? I put this in Remarks. --Raddaluigi 23:12, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Fake vomit

The transcription says Homestar throws up when he says "puke". But to me it looked like they were trying to get across that it was imaginary vomit, because it's just a dotted white outline. Thoughts? - Your imaginary pal, Octan 00:30, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
