[edit] Transcript

{A droning, ominous-sounding chord plays over a black screen as a pixelated white caption fades in:}

CAPTION: It's time...

{Fade to a grainy, black and white shot. A portable record player case is taken off a shelf. The case is covered in dust and has the 1996 Macromedia Flash logo on it.}

{Fade to a hand dusting off the case. Fade to black again.}

CAPTION: to dust off your Uncle's Flash Player

{Fade back in as the case is opened. Fade to a record being taken off a shelf. The record has the following text on it:}

Videlectrix
2.7mb____ 24 fps
10 levels 1 player

STINKOMAN
20X6

{Fade to black.}

CAPTION: for one last challenge!

{The hands place the record in the player, put the needle on it, and turn it on. A remix of the Stinkoman 20X6 Level 1 theme plays, and in the bottom left corner, white text fades in:}

Power Crunch by @VikingGuitar

{The text disappears, replaced by another pixelated caption at the center near the bottom.}

CAPTION: In November of 2002...

{Fade to a scene from the Strong Bad Email island. The scene is dimmed, and the caption appears below the Flash window.}

CAPTION: an internet cartoon man said the following words:

STRONG BAD: {faintly} You know... 'cause I'm gonna hit you...and you'll need the ice cream to... stop the swelling.

{The scene brightens as it cuts to Homestar.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {at normal volume} Hey, Stinkoman.

STRONG BAD: {at normal volume} Um... did you just call me Stinkoman?

{Cut to a scene from the Strong Bad Email japanese cartoon. Strong Bad is shown turning into Stinkoman, sped up from the original email.}

CAPTION: A few weeks later, in early 2003, this happened.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} For some reason, I got blue hair. You gotta have blue hair.

{Cut to a later scene. 1-Up walks up to Stinkoman.}

1-UP: Hey, Stinkoman. Everybody says you're the guy, but I wanna be the guy too!

{Cut to black.}

CAPTION: Two years later, Videlectrix made a Stinkoman platformer.

{Footage of the Stinkoman 20X6 title screen fades in, followed by levels 1.1, 2.2, 5.2, 7.3, 4.2, and 9.2 in that order.}

CAPTION: 9 levels were released but the 10th was never finished.

{The music intensifies. The captions start large and shrink over a black screen, which slowly fades to footage of level 10.1.}

CAPTION: UNTIL NOW

CAPTION: 15 FREAKING YEARS LATER

CAPTION: DAYS BEFORE FLASH DIES FOREVER

CAPTION: VIDELECTRIX HAS FINISHED THE LEVEL

CAPTION: WITH NEW FEATURES

CAPTION: Edge-fall respawn (dunno what else to call it)

{Cut to black, then fade in to the pre-10.4 cutscene. Softer music plays as a metallic door opens, and Mecha-Trogador slams his foot down as the music reaches its peak.}

{Cut to black. The first caption starts large and shrinks, the second appears later and remains the same size.}

CAPTION: OUT NOW! {below other caption} only on a Flash Player from 2005 at homestarrunner.com
