Level 4 - FISTICUFF!

"Stinkoman uses a giant fist to keep 1-Up safe in Lava Zone"
1-Up wants to rescue Pan-Pan, so Stinkoman has to protect him in order to save his favorite power crunch.

Stage 4.1 (Transcript)

Save that power crunch! Oh, and 1-Up too.

{Cut to inside Stinkoman's house. Stinkoman is eating his soup with a spoon in his new giant fist}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} CHOMP! CHOMP!

{1-Up walks in from the right}

1-UP: {subtitled} PAN PAN'S STILL KIDNAPPED! I'M GOING TO RESCUE HIM!

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} WHATEVER!

{Cut to close-up of 1-Up}

1-UP: {subtitled} AND I'M BORROWING YOUR POWER CRUNCH! {holds up Stinkoman's power crunch}

{Cut to close-up of Stinkoman}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} YEAH, YEAH. JUST BRING IT BACK IN ONE PIECE.

{Cut to close-up of 1-Up}

1-UP: {subtitled} AND I'M TAKING A SHORTCUT THROUGH THE LAVA ZONE!!

{1-Up runs off to the right. Cut to close-up of Stinkoman, who stops eating}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} LAVA ZONE?

{Cut to even closer close-up of Stinkoman with "mushroom things" above Stinkoman's head}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} MY POWERCRUNCH!!!!!

HERE'S HOW TO PLAY:

PRESS 'S' TO POUND FIST
AND KILL ENEMIES BELOW

PRESS 'A' TO HOP ON  COLORED TILES
TO MOVE PLATFORMS OF SAME COLOR!

BLOCK LAVA-FALLS WITH 
GIANT FIST!!

PROTECT 1-UP!! HIS
LIFE IS YOUR LIFE!
DON'T LET HIM OUT
OF YOUR SIGHT!

PROTECT 1-UP!
A - JUMP,
S - POUND,
ARROW KEYS - MOVE

Stage 4.1 (Guide)

The first thing to do is to run forward and put your fist under the first lava-fall and wait for 1-Up to get through.
When you walk out of the lava-fall a man will run on the top and throw his fist at you. He's called "Poorbt". As long as your fist is between him and you (you're not facing the other way or directly under a lava-fall) he won't hurt you.
Walk over so your fist is over the red blob, called "Gokul" and press S to kill it. Do the same with the red flying thing, called "Gaspeau"
Protect 1-Up from another lava-fall and kill the Gokul beyond it.
Turn around to stop the Poorbt behind you.
Stand on the green tile and jump 3 times to move the green platform into position
Kill the Gaspeau and jump 4 times on the red tile. Kill the Gokul.
Another Poorbt behind you, and another lava-fall.
Once 1-Up's past the lava-fall, run on to the green tile. Wait till 1-Up is standing on the green platform, then jump 3 times. Not too fast, or the platform will slide away from under 1-Up and you'll lose.
Kill the Gokul and block the lava-fall.
Run on to the blue tile as soon as 1-Up's past. Don't worry about the Poorbt in front of you.
As soon as 1-Up steps on the blue platform jump 3 times. Then as soon as he gets off jump 3 times again. Then when he gets on the next blue platform jump 3 times (but slower)
Run ahead and block the lava-fall.
Don't worry about the cliff, 1-Up will fall off it safely. Run ahead and kill the Gokul, turn around and protect yourself from the Poorbt behind you.
Kill the blue Gaspeau (actually a "Frotzer"), and jump 4 times on the red tile. Then run ahead and kill the Gaspeau and the Gokul, and block the lava-fall.
Block the Poorbt in front of you, kill the Gokul, and block the Poorbt behind you.
Run on to the green tile, blocking another Poorbt in front of you, and jump 3 times. When 1-Up makes it to the 2nd green platform jump 3 times again (slowly), when he makes it to the 3rd platform jump 2 times. 1-Up will be able to climb the step that's left and you won't have to worry about the last platform.
Block the lava-fall and kill the Frotzer and the Gokul.
Run ahead and jump on the red tile 2 times and then the blue tile 3 times (in that order).
Kill the Gaspeau and block the lava-fall, and wait for 1-Up to reach the end.

START PLAY!

Stage 4.2 (Guide)

First up, kill the Gokul, then jump 6 times on the blue tile and block the lava-fall. A Poorbt will come in front of you while you're standing there so block it from the side.
Once 1-Up's through, kill the Gokul, block the Poorbt behind you, and block the next lava-fall.
Run up, block the Poorbt behind you, and wait on the green tile. When 1-Up makes it to the green platform, jump 4 times.
Kill the Gokul, and the Frotzer which comes in from the left. When 1-Up makes it to the red platform, jump on the red tile 5 times (slowly).
Run up and block the next lava-fall.
Run on and kill the green laser-shooting blob (called "Pink Cham Cham"). His lasers don't hurt your fist, so stand with the fist over him and press S.
Run ahead to the blue tile, blocking 3 Poorbts behind you on the way.
When 1-Up makes it to the blue platform jump 5 times (slowly), then kill the Gokul and jump 5 times on the red tile.
Jump on the moving platform to go up to the next level. Don't worry if you miss it the first time, there's plenty of time.
Block the lava-fall and kill the Gokul (you need to be fast here).
Stand on the red tile with your fist in the next lava-fall. When 1-Up gets to the red tile jump 4 times.
Run ahead to the blue tile and jump on it 10 times. Kill the Gusteau and block the Poorbt behind you.
Run on to the red tile. When 1-Up makes it to the red platform jump 4 times.
When 1-Up gets on the first green platform jump on the green tile 3 times (slowly), again when he steps on the second green platform.
Kill the Pink Cham Cham, and run on to the blue tile, blocking the Poorbt in front of you.
When 1-Up makes it to the blue platform jump on the blue tile 3 times. Then when he makes it to the green platform jump on the green tile 3 times.
Jump on the red tile 3 times, then again (slowly) when 1-Up steps on the red platform. Then jump on the green tile 3 times.
Run ahead and block the next lava-fall, then get on the next moving platform and go up a level. Again, don't worry if you miss it the first time.
Jump 4 times on the blue tile, then again once 1-Up is past blue platform.
Run ahead and block the last lava-flow, revealing the flag behind it. Wait for 1-Up to finish.

{He turns around, Cut to Saargtsson, Cut back to Stinkoman}

STINKOMAN: {subtitled} OH GIVE ME A BREAK! WHAT AN AMATEUR ATTEMPT AT ASKING ME FOR A CHALLENGE. YOU MUST BE NEW AT THIS.

After you defeat Saargtsson...

Level 4 Boss: Saargtsson (Guide)

Saargtsson is the giant is a lava snake made up of several segments and a head. The Stinkomanual says that he doesn't play fair, but truth be told, Saargtsson isn't that hard, as long as you know what you're doing.
He jumps up from the lava, firing green lasers up at you. Also, a flame called Firey-Hot will occasionally appear above your head, but you'll have enough warning to move out of the way. His lasers are usually not aimed at you, so focus on Firey-Hot, which will aim for you.
In order to damage Saargtsson, pound the ground above him to hit the last segment of his body, the one furthest from his head. Each segment will vanish after two hits.
Be careful, he'll jump a little higher with each segment you remove, and once he's down to his last couple of body segments, he'll be able to reach your platform. Just avoid him and keep hitting him once he's under you. The best strategy is to focus attacking whenever you have the chance, but to drop anything and run out of the way when Firey-Hot is about to burninate you.
