- Teen Girl Squad Issue 2 — Thomas repeatedly clubs What's Her Face in the shins with a baseball bat (which hurts her) when she starts fawning for the No "I" In Team Boy.

- Strongest Man in the World — The Grape Fairie claims he got the golbol in 1974 from Mookie Wilson. Mookie Wilson was a professional baseball player during the 1980s and early 1990s best known for playing for the New York Mets, the team referenced in the golbol Easter egg.
- Email trading cards (DVD Commentary) — Matt mentions that he has a Dwight Gooden rookie trading card. Dwight Gooden is a former MLB player, one of the most dominant and feared pitchers in the National League during the mid-1980s. This leads Matt and Mike to a further discussion about other baseball players, during which they mention such names as Robin Yount and Tony Peña.

- Pom Pom, Too — one of the Poms is colored like an ABA basketball, and two of them look like NBA basketballs.
- A Decemberween Pageant — Pom Pom is cast as Kobe #1 and Strong Mad is cast as Kobe #2.
- Strong Bad Character Video — one of his accepted forms of payments is "Denver Nuggets."
- Email new hands — one of the options for Strong Bad's hands is an ABA basketball.

- Shopping for Danger — After Gunhaver mentions that Blue Laser will use all their savings to make a button to make it snow at the beach, Silent Rip asks, "What about beach volleyball?", to which Gunhaver responds "There won't be anymore beach volleyball!"
- An Important Rap Song — Part of the lyrics go "Beach volleyball slammajamma" and are accompanied by Silent Rip and Firebert playing beach volleyball against Blue Laser Commander and a minion at the Beach.
- Somber Vacation — Strong Sad plays beach volleyball with pieces of algae-covered chunks of styrofoam coolers that he adds googley eyes and pipe cleaners to.
Bowling
- Main Page 4 — This Main Page takes place in a bowling alley.
- Labor Dabor — The Cheat makes some bowling animations.
- Email mini-golf — One of the "fun-time emporiums" that Strong Bad mentions is called "Kosmik Bowling".
Competitive Swimming
- Email other days — Strong Sad mentions that they will be late for swim practice (although earlier in the e-mail Strong Bad denies that he goes to swim practice).
Football
- Coach Z's old timey counterpart is a football player named "Fort Wayne Locomotive."
- The House That Gave Sucky Treats — Strong Mad's costume is William "Refrigerator" Perry, a famous football player from the 1980s.
- Email island — The message inside the bottle is really a flyer for Super Bowl XIX. In an Easter egg, one pair of hallucinations that Strong Bad and Homestar have of each other are of the helmets worn by the two teams in said Super Bowl: the San Francisco 49ers (Homestar's hallucination of Strong Bad) and the Miami Dolphins (Strong Bad's hallucination of Homestar).
- Superbowl Dealie — The entire toon is about annual professional football championship.
- Email caffeine — Strong Sad claims while hyper, "I don't even watch football! I don't even watch football!"
- Email crying — Strong Bad "quotes" Li'l Brudder as saying "I'm gonna be a quarterback when I grow up. I'm gonna throw for 2,000 yards."

- Email mascot — The Cheat uses a golf club to hit things on the CGNU Golf Club Team.
- Email the paper — The Paper has the word "golf" visible under its polo shirt during its preppy phase.

- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2 — Homestar, pretending to be Coach Z, asks Marzipan why she missed field hockey practice.

- Theme Song Video — One of the scenes consists of Homestar skating.

- Email flashback — Strong Bad and Coach Z play tennis on the moon.

Invented Sports
- In Search of the Yello Dello — A strange sport with a football being thrown on the same field as a basketball net being used simultaneously is played. Strong Bad comments on it in the commentary, and Homestar replies that it is America's pastime.
- Email 1 step ahead — The viewer is allowed to play a new sport: the Peg Strong Sad game.
- Email mascot — The Cheat is the head of the "Golf Club Team" of Crazy Go Nuts University. The "sport" he plays is beating the opposing "team" with a golf club.
- Email theme park — Homsar says it is time for "tasteball". How tasteball is to be interpreted is a mystery, though by its name it seems to be a sport of some kind.
- Email the paper — Homestar and Homsar play Strong Bad and The Paper in what appears to be basketball, but played with an American football.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 14.2 — Coach Z reminds Marzipan of upcoming "shin" tryouts. The sport apparently involves shin-guards, shin-pads, shin-protectors, and shin-balls. Presumably, the sport is played with one's shins.
