Skulls make many appearances in the Homestar Runner universe.

Appearances

  • In Search of the Yello DelloCoach Z's chalkboard diagram creates a skull and crossbones.
  • The House That Gave Sucky Treats — At the end you can roll over the skull to see the caption of "Get offa me!" which is a quote from Murray, the Demonic Talking Skull from the Monkey Island games.
  • Experimental Film — The Tentacle Skull is a skull with tentacles which rides a Penny Farthing at various points in the video. Strong Bad states in the Experimental Film Commentary that "if it weren't for that tentacle skull riding the old-timey bike, this video would have nothin'!" It should be noted that skulls are a frequent TMBG theme.
  • Email interview — One of the versions of "Post-it note Strong Bad" is him as a flying skull.
  • lunch special — A piece of paper attached to the back wall behind Strong Bad's computer says "Home Base" and has a Strong Badified skull and crossbones drawn on it.
  • Peasant's Quest — There is a skull at the top of the cliff.
  • Email garage sale — Strong Bad describes one of the various "sort of folks that frequent garage sales", as "The Lurker". While he does so, the words "THE LURKER" appear in the middle of the screen with a candle and two skulls.
  • Email secret identity — When Strong Bad is posing as Cara Carabowditbowdit, he has a skull in his wig.
  • Summer Short Shorts — When caveman Strong Bad lands in the tar pit, tar splashes Homestar and then turns into a skull.
  • Happy Hallow-day — The "old rotten skull" in the spooky woods appears, and a rainbow afro pops out of its head. At the end, a Mexican-style skull which resembles Homestar wearing a sombrero appears.
  • Blue Laserdisc Challenge — At Game Over, a black screen appears that has a Powered by The Cheat style skull and crossbones with the words "Try Again! Press 'Menu' at any time to exit" below. Then the skull and crossbones turn into Blue Laser Commander, and he runs off screen.
  • Fan Costumes '06 — One of the slides is a picture of three children, one of which is dressed as a cheerleader with boots and a midriff-baring shirt with a skull-and-crossbones emblem.
  • Email buried — A skull resembling that of Homeschool Winner can be seen in Strong Bad's drawing of what might be underneath Strong Badia.
  • Brainkrieg's bassist, seen in death metal and Hooked on Decemberween, wears a T-shirt with a skull on it.
  • Doomy Tales of the Macabre — As each character meets their fate, their skull is shown.
  • @StrongBadActual — September 8, 2017 — In this tweet, the enemies of Stinkoman 20X6's tenth level are revealed to be mostly skull-based.
