Several times in the Homestar Runner universe, the characters have talked about someone having the ball at the top of the key.

Appearances

• Email autobiography — Strong Bad says in his autobiography that "Reg had the ball at the top of the key."
• Email anything — After Homestar Runner walks by, Coach Z says to Strong Sad, "So anyways, Reg had the ball at the top o' the key."
• Email trading cards — The intro song includes the line "you leave your dreams at the top of the keeey".
• Email the paper — Strong Bad and Homestar are in the gym and while Homestar is standing at the top of the key holding a football, he says, "Homestar had the ball at the top of the key."
• Toikey TV — During the football game, the announcer declares "Reg has the ball at the top of the twenty."
