The Brothers Chaps appeared at PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts, on Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Dragonfly Theater. The panel was entitled "Homestar Runner: Games Games Games!", hosted by John Ritter. It was first announced by the PAX website, then by @StrongBadActual and the Index Page on March 19, 2018. It was streamed online at The PAX website description reads:

Join creators Matt and Mike Chapman for a panel full of all things Homestar Runner, games, and upcoming projects! They will discuss games that have influenced their work, games they play now, and their plans for the future of Homestar Runner. Bring some of your best questions about thatched roofed cottages for a Q&A at the end of the panel.

A prototype of the upcoming Trogdor-themed board game is playable every day from 12 PM to 2 PM in Kickstarter Couchland (room 103).


As the guests were entering, but before the panel officially started, there was a two-frame animation (apparently made using Google Slides) labelled "The great webiste", with crudely-drawn pictures of "homestrunner" and "Stong bah". The host, John Ritter, introduced The Brothers Chaps and Homestar Runner. Matt pointed out the audience members wearing Deletehead hats, saying he found a place that made paper hats, but couldn't get them to make a custom Deletehead hat. John Ritter first asked how long video games had been a part of The Brothers Chaps' lives, and they talked about one of their first games, Stunt Cycle for the Atari (the inspiration for the bus-jumping scene in mile). They then showed a King's Quest comic they made in 1985 or 1986, and talked about a Doom mod they made, based on Dazed and Confused. Then they showed a 4-minute live action Punch-Out!! movie they filmed in 1987, skipping over parts of it. John asked about how they made cartoons before Homestar Runner. They mentioned the Super NES toon, and showed Strong Bad's Website as an example of how the Internet looked back then. John asked what video games they were influenced by when they made Homestar Runner, and they responded that the look of the Homestar Runner universe is influenced by video games (for example, the toons are sidescrolling, and there are blue skies and green hills similar to Mario).
