Vehicles and Point Values
- Station Wagon: A green vehicle that likes to hug the left or right side of the road. 100 points
- Convertable: A red vehicle that likes to barrel down the center of the road. 500 points
- Ambulance: A white vehicle with blue and red lights that likes to drive near the right side of the road (though not as far over as the station wagon). 500 points
- Semi (Drunk Driver): A black semi that either swerves left, then right or right, then left. Be very careful when dealing with this driver! 1000 points.
Glitches
- You still earn points for any vehicle that passes your wrecked vehicle.
- You can crash 2-3 times in rapid succession yet only lose one life (in other words, crashing, then immediately crashing again).
- The game sometimes loads data where the station wagons primarily drive on the right side of the road, and semis swerve left, then right, meaning if you stay in the left lane, you'll never die.
- If you view the flash file directly, and get a game over, right click the file and hit forward a few times, then hit play. You can see the Strong Bad basement scene without having to beat 50,000 points!
- Right-click and unselect play for unlimited lives. When you run out of lives, your lives will show as - and you can keep playing. Select play again to get the game over screen.
- If you get over 100,000 points, the score will reset to 10000. This is due to the game only displaying the first five digits in the score; the counter still has you over 100,000.
Easter Eggs
- If you beat Strong Bad's high score of 50000 points, you'll get a short cutscene where Strong Bad shows you that he's now gotten a new high score... exactly one point higher than yours.
Transcript
STRONG BAD: Oh, you beat my high score, huh? Well, I just finished the game. Check it out! {Shows you the screen, his score is one point higher than yours.} Oh, tough luck. I guess it's back to the drawing board for you! Or, the, uh, Night Driving board, or uh.... Get out of my basement!
Fun Facts
- The whole game itself is based on the Atari 2600 game "Night Driver," which in turn was based on the 1976 arcade game of the same name.
- The source of the Easter egg is the Strong Bad's Room Main Page, where he brags that he's got the high score of 50,000 points, and challenges you to beat it.
