Michael Jackson, widely known as the King of Pop, was an American musician and remains one of the most commercially successful and influential entertainers of all time. His work had an effect on and is referenced in the Homestar Runner body of work.

- Email Videro Games — Strong Bad's email intro is based on "We Are the World", a song co-written by Jackson for the supergroup USA for Africa (of which he was also a member).
- Homestar Presents: Presents — Homestar wears the keyboard T-shirt from the "Beat It" music video.

- Weclome Back (DVD commentary) — Mike Chapman mentions playing "a nice Jackson 5 cover" back in high school.
- Email your funeral — Coach Z's dance moves and facial expressions, as well as Strong Bad's "mouth full of grape jelly", reference the music video for "Thriller".
- Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — Homestar sings "Billy Dee" to the tune of "Billie Jean".
- The House That Gave Sucky Tricks — Marzipan dresses up as Captain EO, portrayed by Jackson in the 4D Disney movie of the same name.
- Trogdor!! The Board Game (video) — The phrasing "*Actual tiles do not Billie Jean", used in a video clip demonstrating gameplay of Trogdor!! The Board Game, refers to the illuminating tiles in the "Billie Jean" music video.
- A GIF of this clip was used in The Deleteheads Download Volume 2.
