The Brothers Chaps often make reference to the act of giving a high five. In addition to the characters within the Homestar Runner Universe giving and talking about high fives, TBC often use the phrase in public appearances.

- Strong Bad's Character Video — Strong Bad says, "Dudes, form a line to my right for high fives!" Later, Homestar says, "Well, I was gonna get a high five, but, I see that I'm already here. And with a snake on my head!"
- An Important Rap Song — Crack Stuntman sang, "Throw your hands in the air for some high-fives!"
- Inkhole Interview — Matt Chapman said, "The Cheat made a cartoon recently and there's a part where Strong Bad and The Cheat give each other high fives in space." referring to new boots.
