Don Bluth was an animator who started at Disney and later directed his own animated films in the 1980s and 1990s. These films are sometimes referenced by The Brothers Chaps.

• Email rock opera — On the DVD commertary, Strong Bad sings a part from "Somewhere Out There" from An American Tail.
• Thy Dungeonman 3 — While musing on thoughts of her dead husband, the hag is said to be "landbeforetiming".
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 14.2 — In the Easter egg, Homestar Runner sings a part from "Somewhere Out There" from An American Tail.
• Trogdor!! The Board Game Final Hours Playthrough — Mike Chapman draws a movement card to move the peasants west, and Strong Bad says "Peasants Goes West" is his "favorite Don Bluth joke", in reference to An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.
  • This same reference is used by Strong Sad in Six-Sadded, Die. - Trogdor's Fiery Rage.
• Mr. Poofers Must Die — Homestar dresses as Dirk the Daring from Dragon's Lair.
• The Homestar Runner Enters the Spooky Woods — Bubs goes as another character from a Don Bluth LaserDisc video game, Commander Borf of Space Ace.
