-or pronounced with a long O

Normally in English, when a word ends with -or, the O takes the schwa sound. Occasionally in the Homestar Runner cartoons, the O is pronounced with a long vowel.

  • Drive Thru — Strong Bad and The Cheat use "The CompressOR" to launch a model rocket to Europa in hopes of bringing back Europapean lobsters.
  • Email concert — Strong Bad tells the sender not to impersonate "The Burninator", pronouncing it with a long O.
