I just started watching Homestar Runner cartoons this year (2009), and I'm addicted already. Homestar is my favorite character, followed by Strong Bad, The Cheat, and Pom Pom.

I think that Bubs is actually humming the villain's theme from Inspector Gadget. That would bookend with Homestar humming the main theme from the show.
