:While categorizing pages, they are sorted by their first letter, but when doing so to templates, they are all categorized in the letter T (for '''T'''emplate). Using <nowiki>{{PAGENAME}}</nowiki> force the system into using the true name of the page. It is never used on mainspace articles, as their full name is the true one, but rather in other namespaces like Help, Category, Template, HRWiki, User, MediaWiki and other variants. {{User:E.L. :More of an artistic comment than a technical one, but I have a problem with the contrast of the main page style with the rest of the style. Basically, the reason that I liked the old style was that it's cartoony and soft-colors blended well with the rest of the site's design. I think that if the main page were just viewed alone, it would look very good. This is a site about a cartoon, but that doesn't mean we have to be strictly cartoony. My Simpsons quote above ("forward, not backward...") was kind of silly, but I meant it. We should be doing everything to keep this site as up-to-date as possible. It's the first thing people see. As for whether it fits with the rest of the site, I think hardly any the rest of the site is or has been affected by what the main page looks like, and this one fits in as well as the previous one. But if updating the main page means we should update some other pages, then so be it (although I don't see the need for this). The other item that we should look at is whether we should update the logo (and I don't think the two suggestions based on the official H*R logo and Wikipedia's logo are viable candidates, simply because they are based on others' official logos). I hope that helps! There's lots of other technical stuff you can do as well, such as making a table only a certain width, lots of color variations, etc, but if you want a basic table, that's the layout. Seriously, while I agree with you on all bases (the plural of "basis"; look it up) of what you said to The thing, you have been asked repeatedly not to interject advice about the "right way" to use the wiki, in particular when all you're doing is reiterating what a sysop has already said. How is it, exactly, that we're not getting through to you? The ability to speak with authority does not happen overnight. Rather, it is earned with time and good contributions. Especially time. Right now, you are continually overstepping your authority. :By the way, I'm just kind of dropping in here: I've been on the wiki a lot less since early February, and it's clear that I'm a little behind; reading between the lines on your current user page I can kind of reconstruct some of what I've missed. First of all, don't worry about taking time off from the wiki, and don't feel the need to make it a matter of leaving "forever" (unless you sign an oath in blood). Perhaps it would be more productive to give yourself some kind of wiki-limit, like only editing on Mondays, and then only on the new cartoon's page. Secondly, making mistakes and annoying people isn't necessarily so "melodramatic," as you put it; at least, it shouldn't entirely surprise you. It's called being human. Now, if you find that you're making a ''lot'' of mistakes in short amounts of time, it might mean something. In your case, I think it probably means slow down. If you're trying to drive at 60 mph with no headlights, you're probably going to run over some things; if you try to wiki at 60 mph the results are similar. By "slow down" I don't mean just wiki ''less'', though that have therapeutic benefit; I basically mean '''chill'''. I can't tell you how often I see something, start to reply to it (or revert it), and halfway through, close the tab. At that point I either thought "It isn't worth the effort," or "If I say this I'll be starting an argument over something that isn't big enough to deserve one," or "What I'm saying just doesn't really need saying," or "I'll wait and see whether others feel the same way, and maybe ''then'' do something about this." So if necessary, take a wikation, but I ''do'' hope you'll be back. Despite whatever adventures I've missed, I ''do'' think you're a user with a lot of potential and desire to learn. I did not mean stupid. I should reword that a bit. I just meant that it was a bit odd. No, I do not know AgentSeethroo. I wasn't trying to say anything personal. All I mean is that pretty much everyone agrees, he is currently inactive. I trust [[User: Lapper/sysops|Lapper's sysop list]] to give me the correct info, as he is a sysop. It matters to me who's listed as an admin because it might confuse users into thinking that AgentSeethroo might be back, which is sadly not true as I have heard he is a wonderful contributor. I'm not trying to "get attention", making a simple edit doesn't help me that way. Also, while I have left to get attention in the past, I have found that it is hard to leave the wiki. :The wiki has recently moved to a new server. This means that yes, it looks very different. It also takes a crapload of time to get used to. Lots of other users have found this out, sadly.
