What would you juys say to just putting all Fun Facts related to the Desktop Themes (including the sounds, but not including the visuals during them) on the [[Homestar Runner Desktop Theme]] and [[Strong Bad Desktop Theme]] pages? Because this toon is featured on the index page right now, the subtitles linked to it on the wiki are actually the subtitles for the ''normal'' index page. == homestars eyes ==

in this toon, the shiny spots on homestars eyes move according to where he is looking. is this normal? if so, this is the first time ive noticed it, but if not, i see three possibilities:

1. it was an intentional style change, or it was done specifically to emphasize parts of the acting in this toon (though it would normally be frowned upon in animation, because the shiny spots on characters are determined by lighting and not by orientation)

2. the chaps could be rusty, having not animated the HR characters in a while

3. someone else animated this toon

::I'll be honest, though. It caught me off guard to see Homestar's eyes being so expressive. At the same time I was also too excited to care about it, because of how unlikely it was that the site updated.
::As for the animation [[style]], it's the Chaps all the way. They have mastered the art of [[Georgia Tech - 26 Apr 2007|doinking]] and the fans would notice if there was actually a different animator involved. So I guess Homestar mastered the art of poinking, then.
::It appears that The Chaps ''were'' rusty, though, at least during W00tstock. They (and by "they", I assume just Matt) put the fez on SB's head, but when they went to add Homestar, a small triangle appeared in front of SB's face. But I digress. ::::Yeah, you're right, it's just his eyes flipping horizontally. How often did that happen before, though? He usually just ''turns his body around'' to indicate his focus. It just feels really off-model when he turns to the audience asking if they want to see the "Two Great Guys". His eyes aren't usually flipped like that, as far as I remember. Plus, when Strong Bad says "Hit it, Homestar!", Homestar's eyes are flipped and displaced slightly. Again, it just seems really... ''wrong''.

Upon watching for the first, fifth, tenth, etc. time and not paying close attention, I heard strong bad say "fifteen". However, after {{p|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=April_Fools%27_2014&diff=741007&oldid=741004&rcid=703712 a recent edit}} suggesting fifty which was {{p|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=April_Fools%27_2014&diff=next&oldid=741007 quickly reverted}}, I listened to it again, and it DOES sound like he's saying "fifty", especially with the slight pause beforehand. I think the point of the joke is supposed to be "number, number times two, really high number unrelated to sequence". I think it's unfortunate that they picked a number which sounds similar to the next in the sequence. :Pretty much the same thing. I listened to it twice before reverting because I wasn't sure either. I think my primary reason for reverting was that the number Strong Bad said had the accent on the second syllable. And on a subsequent listen while writing this, I'm not even sure if that's true. == The 2 Great Guys ==

So I noticed a couple of things about this "album" that might be references, and in fact are probably '''''generic''''' references, but aren't clear enough to include as fun facts.

First of all, the name "The 2 Great Guys" seems like it might be referring to [[wikipedia:3 Great Guys|3 Great Guys]], but there is no resemblance to its cover. Like Homestar and Strong Bad being household names in the context of the website, Paul Anka, Sam Cooke and Neil Sedaka were already quite famous when this album was made.

Secondly, "Compy-directional sound" has to be referring to one of the many sound advancements in vinyl records, but I can't put my finger on which one exactly. It somewhat resembles some "stereo[phonic] sound" labels, but it could also be referring to something like "high-fidelity", "quadraphonic sound" or the artificial "duophonic sound". Also, the phrase resembles "omni-directional sound", which some speakers or stereo systems have, but which has nothing to do with the record itself.

It is still well-maintained, and it's substantially inclusive, and that's considerably more than a lot of wikis out there can say. I'm doing my part to keep it that way. :The keytar edit summary was because in the same edit, I very nearly removed the Keytar reference entirely. I decided to leave it in when I finally found why it was on the page.
