Bug in the Game
As of approximately 1AM EST 12/1/08, there's a bug in the game that makes it unbeatable. Even after completing all three of the tasks on the case file, Strong Bad still won't pick up the case file from the bulletin board. In addition, I currently have 185/170 points. --Pixelated 05:59, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Pixelated: /* Stuff I'm Proud Of */

Introduction
Hey guys! I'm a member over down towards the Fanstuff, and I do a lot of stuff there... OK... so maybe not a lot... but still! I decided I would also start really trying to help out here. So... yeah! I'll get right to it!
-

Stuff I'm Proud Of
*Mike Chapman - Added that he went to Dunwoody High School. I learned this when I talked to him at the Rock and Reel Festival.
*The House That Gave Sucky Treats - Added the fun fact that the Bazooka Joe comic originally came from a possible weekly feature that was never showcased. Once again, I learned this at the Rock and Reel Festival.
*Fall Float Parade - Started the page and put it under "What's New" while the toon did not work.
*Limozeen Live! - 8 Nov 2008 - Added the set list! It was an awesome show!

Paste Rock and Reel '05
Taken from my trip report posted at StrongFans.com

So, as you may or may not know, I did make it out to the Paste Rock
and Reel '05 Fest to check out The Brothers Chap. And I got their
autograph!! They were totally cool about everything and Matt even
laughed at a crappy joke I told him. Now unfortuantely, my camera
was out of battery and we couldn't buy a disposible camera, so sorry
for lack of pictures.

Anyways, the big news that I learned was that the new DVD is
coming out in 3-4 weeks according to them. They said it was going
to be called "Everything Else Volume 1" It was going to have all the
shorts, Teen Girl Squads, and Marzipan Answering Machines (but
you probably already knew that...)

There was a lot of stuff that nobody had ever seen before. One of
my favorites was the Bubzooka Comics. It made fun of all those
horrible Bazooka Bubble Gum Comics. There was also a lot of
puppet jams and Marzipan trying to sing the karaoke to Fhqwhgads.
And they brought out the Homestar puppet and the never before
seen in public Strong Bad puppet. I was lucky enough to ask Strong
Bad an age old question:

{I raised my hand}

STRONG BAD: Yes you, glasses-man!

{Crowd laughs}

ME: How do you type with boxing gloves on?

STRONG BAD: AAAAAAH!! I'm going to frickin-... um... don't
ever ask me that question again...

{Crowd laughs}

Also some stuff that you probably never saw before was a Powered
by the Cheat music video of Grumblecakes. Also there were some
Peasent Quest Video Trailer Outakes. They both were awexome and
pwned!

So anyways, I had an all around good time. When they showed some
classic Strong Bad emails, everybody started cracking up at some of
the lamer jokes, and that was OK, because Homestar Runner is a
whole lot better when it is enjoyed with 60 other fans around you. It
was a lot of fun and laughs, so next time TBC is even remotely near
you, buy tickets as soon as you can and make plans. It is probably
the best thing ever... even better than beef stew!

Me and H*R
Introduction to the Website: My friend showed me dragon in November, 2003 at my other friend's birthday party.

Favorite Characters: Homestar Runner, 1-Up, The Cheat, Homsar, Strong Bad, Bubs, Stinkoman

H*R Merch:
*Strong Bad Email DVD Disc 1-3
*Strong Bad Sings

Favorite Quote: Yeah... yeah... you're prowbably wright (Homestar Runner - First Time Here)
Transcript
STRONG BAD: {singing} I'm livin' the Strong Bad life, I take an email for my wife. I take an email for my wife. {brings up and reads the email}

<blockquote class="lappy email">
<div>subject: Hey Strongbad!</div>
Hey Strongbad,<br/>
Does Strong Badia have any Mysterious Myths or<br/>
Legendary Legends?<br/>
Cephas<br/>
Cornwall, CA<br/>
</blockquote>

{Strong Bad says "Strongbad" as "Two words. Two different words. That are not one word. That are 'Strong' and 'Bad'." and the name and location as "Cephas Cornwall of the Corn Army".}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Mysterious Myths or Legendary Legends? Isn't that a show on one of those channels up in the high hundreds? Ya know, like between the CG Dinosaur Channel and the Homes with Rollercoasters in Them Network? Well, if not, it should be! {makes a static-like sound} Come on! {makes it again, but this time the screen cuts to static} There we go.

{Cut to Strongbadia. Strong Bad carries a stick.}

STRONG BAD: Strongbadia. An idyllic fruit-opia. Rich in madeupstories and nottrueities. The nottrue-est of which...

{He prods The Tire with his stick. The Bear-Shark pops up. The Cheat runs by, panicked.}

THE CHEAT: {screams in The Cheat}

STRONG BAD: ...is the mighty bear holding a shark. {spooky music starts} More than a mere security counter-measure, its origins lie in the skies of old.

{Cut to a starry sky. Constellations of the Strongbadia flag's snake, the guy with the big knife, a hand giving the "OK" symbol, a board with nails in it, General Tso's chicken, a fish with an afro, and a marathon runner.}

STRONG BAD: The stars tell us that two of the seven elemental spirits of Strongbadia, the fish wearing a 'fro wig and the British distance runner, combined forces to defeat the others.

{The two constellations in question fight, and in the end, the runner holds the fish over his head.}

STRONG BAD: In paintball... or maybe Red Rover.

{Cut back to Strong Bad}

STRONG BAD: Then, through years of bad story-telling and the telephone game,

{Over the following, images of a satyr holding a fish, labeled "Wildernessman withst Sea-Beast", an elk with a fish in its antlers, and a bad drawing of the bear-shark on the fence appear.}

STRONG BAD: The mythic beast transformed into the bear holding a shark we know today. These ancient fence drawings show evidence of destroyed crops, stolen babies, and family bike-rides. {The screen pans over to show bad drawings of the same.} Or family pie-sitting contests. Bear-holding-a-shark fever gripped the nation.

{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand, with various Bear-Shark paraphernelia.}

BUBS: {holding up an ice cream bar} We got Bear-holding-a-shark frozen delights, {looking at a pile of glasses near him} and these shot glasses are always popular with the kids. Oh, and my favorite: {reaches down and produces a necklace} these Bear-tooth-holding-a-shark-tooth necklaces!

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Of course, not everyone caught the fever.

{Music starts and Bubs dances. Then, cut to Strong Sad. The screen reads "Bear Holding a Shark Skeptic".}

STRONG SAD: I'm sure it's just a weather balloon or a foreign exchange student. These strange beasts just aren't real!

{Cut back to Strong Bad}

STRONG BAD: ...said the elephant-footed ghost man. And then, one day, the Bear-holding-a-shark got the break all made-up creatures dream of. {The screen becomes more and more blurry, and zooms further and further into Strong Bad, on each word in:} Blurry photographic evidence.

{Cut to Homestar Runner}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Now, I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but I was in the woods, walking my dog Pom Pom. All of a sudden, he started growlin' and poopin' all over the place. And that's when I saw him.

{Static, then cut to a very fuzzy video reel of the Bear-Shark walking through the woods.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {voiceover} A very. Scary. Monsterman.

{More spooky music}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Now that we've seen all the evidence, it's up to you to decide: {the following words appear on the screen} Mysterious Myth? Or Legendary Legend?

{Cut back to the Lappy}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Join us next week when we examine startling new evidence in the Biscuitdoughhandsman conspiracy.

{More spooky music. The Paper comes down.}

Easter Eggs
*Click on CA in the email to see a Teen Girl Squad frame of the Mighty Warrior taking on the corn army.
*Click on "CG Dinosaur Channel" to see Trogdor walk on the screen, advertising "Walking with Trogdor".
*Click on "startling" at the end to see a scene with Strong Bad and Bubs.
:{Cut to Bubs' Concession Stand}
:STRONG BAD: {holding one of the Bear-Shark popsicles} So this is supposed to be the bear holding a shark? Looks more like...Morgan Freeman.
:BUBS: Oh, right! That's what it is! Now gimme twenty extra bucks for that Shawshank style.
*Click on "Biscuitdoughhandsman" to see Coach Z reporting an incident.
:{Cut to Coach Z, standing in silhouette in front of a dark background. A caption appears reading "This guy's voice has been digitally altered again"}
:COACH Z: {with voice digitally altered} So there I was, minding my own creepy business, when I found this severed hand in the locker room! {He holds up a biscuit with a bite taken out.}

Fun Facts
Goofs
*The CA and CG Dinosaur easter eggs are still clickable when the screen turns to static.

Explanations
*"CG" is short for "Computer graphics".
*"Telephone Game" is a game for children where a message is whispered from one participant to another, along a group, causing the message to be distorted more and more.

Trivia
*The TV show sound effect incorporates the same musical notes as The Geddup Noise.
*At 2:54, this is the shortest Lappy era email to date.

Remarks
* By viewing the flash file when the "ancient fence drawings" are going by, you can see the text, "by strong bab age 5" written in sloppy, childish handwriting outside of the typical viewing area.
* If you look at the Bear Holding a Shark's feet during the blurry footage, you can see that they are white with blue soles, indicating Homestar's footage is not quite authentic.

Inside References
*The Mighty Warrior discussing corn is a reference to Teen Girl Squad Issue 10.
*Coach Z's voice was digitally altered before in couch patch.
*The Cheat was revealed to be scared of the Bear-Shark in date.
*Strong Sad's Soolnds are mentioned again.
*One of the girls seen on a bicycle in the "ancient fence drawings" bears a resemblance to What's Her Face.
*The "Bear Holding A Shark" ice cream bar is similar in style to the actual ice cream bars of Homestar Runner, Pom Pom and Strong Bad, as seen in the Museum.

Fred the Monkey.com is a Flash animation site that is greatly influenced by Homestar Runner. It's been around for three years now. Like Homestar Runner, the site features a "First Time Here"-video and a mailbag, very much like Strong Bad's e-mail. Another more obvious reference is displayed in this toon, where Fred The Monkey wears a Strong Bad mask at the end.

Funny Junk
In a flash cartoon here(warning: adult material), Strong Bad is dancing in the middle of the screen at about the middle of the flash cartoon. He dances like he does in The Luau.
Use #667 is entitled "Homestar Runner's Evil Twin", and features, just that.
User:Pixelated

Pixelated: Added that I made the Fall Float Parade page!

{I raised my hand}

STRONG BAD: Yes you, glasses-man!

{Crowd laughs}

ME: How do you type with boxing gloves on?

STRONG BAD: AAAAAAH!! I'm going to frickin-... um... don't
ever ask me that question again...

{Crowd laughs}

It
was a lot of fun and laughs, so next time TBC is even remotely near
the best thing ever... even better than beef stew!
*Age: 12
*When I get into college, I plan to get a degree in Computer Engineering mainly because I am truly fascinated by how computers work on the inside. How can silicon and a bunch of wires created something as amazing and powerful as a gateway to the biggest communication network in the world?
*After I get out of college, I really, REALLY, want to be a game programmer or software programmer. I love programming now. I did my first coding when I was 9 years old in 4th grade, I created a simple trivia program in C for my reading project.

Pixelated: /* Me and H*R */

{I raised my hand}

STRONG BAD: Yes you, glasses-man!

{Crowd laughs}

ME: How do you type with boxing gloves on?

STRONG BAD: AAAAAAH!! I'm going to frickin-... um... don't
ever ask me that question again...

{Crowd laughs}

Pixelated: Added something I'm proud of and some stuff about me!

{I raised my hand}

STRONG BAD: Yes you, glasses-man!

{Crowd laughs}

ME: How do you type with boxing gloves on?

STRONG BAD: AAAAAAH!! I'm going to frickin-... um... don't
ever ask me that question again...

{Crowd laughs}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh, hello. This year, we're going to do things a little differently. {scary voice, eyes slant} We're all coming to your house to trick or treeeeat! {normal face and voice} So just answer the door, pick a treat, and drag it on top of us. We'll do the rest. Ok, bye!

Coach Z
{Knocks in a rhythm.}

Intro
:Doot-doo-doot-doo, I'll drink up all the Hennessey ya got on your shelf, but first let me introduce myself. My name is Coach Z. Pronounced with an "Oach Z."

Jujyfruits
:Ooh, Jorgyfruits! Oh I mean Jurjyfrorts. I mean GEORGIE FRORGIE! George Foreman?

Boston Baked Beans
:Ya know, I once knew a fellow in Boston 'could tell ya the time of the day at any time of the day. Ya'd say, "Say there Boston, what's the time of day?" And he'd say, "10:30." And you'd look at him and say, "But Boston, it's half past noon!" And he'd look back at ya and say, "Well, those are the breaks."

Cherry Clan
:Da Cherry Clan. Are they related to the Wu-Tang Clan? 'Cause ya know, their first album was the BOMB! ( Pronounced "BAERMB!" due to his accent) In fact, you don't have a copy of "The 36 Chambers" in there, do ya? 'Cause I'd love to listen to it right now. Ya mind if I come in?

The King Of Town
{Rings the doorbell instead of knocking.}

Intro
:Trick or treat! I'm horrible! {Strong Bad pokes his head out from the right of the screen and says: You got that right!}

Butterscotch
:Ooh, butterscotch! Would you mind melting those down and pouring them over a ham? {pulls out ham}

Fun size Butterfinger
:That's it? Well, if you think that I'll accept this paltry treat just because it has "butter" in the name...well, you'd be right. Give it here.

Stick of Butter
:Ooh, a stick of butter! {noisily scarfs the stick of butter} {still with butter in his mouth} Trick or treat. Again? Please??

Strong Mad and The Cheat
{Knocks harshly, door shoots out yellow bursts.}

Intro
:The Cheat: Mahnah!
:Strong Mad: IS YOUR REFRIGERATOR PERRY RUNNING?

Rock Candy
:Strong Mad: {staring at it, puzzled.} HALLOWEEN!

Pop Rocks
:{The Cheat eats the Pop Rocks}
:Strong Mad: No... No... NOOO!
:{The Cheat takes a drink of cola}
:The Cheat: {screaming The Cheat noises, The Cheat's head explodes}

Rocks
:{Strong Mad eats the rocks, then bites off half of a can of cola. The Cheat's head inexplicably explodes.}

Marzipan
{Also rings the doorbell.}

Intro
:Hey, ho! Let's go! Hey, ho! Trick or treat!

Candy Corn
:Candy corn!? Do you have any real corn? Or Indian corn?

Rice Cakes
:Hey, rice cakes! I like to eat them without water.

Steak
:Is this a joke? It's not funny. {Strong Bad drops three steaks into her bag}

The Poopsmith and Pom Pom
{Knocks rapidly and quietly.}

{They don't have an intro, as neither can really speak.}

Mary Jane
:{They look at each other, then The Poopsmith holds up a sign that says "Give us something good instead". Pom Pom laughs.}

Chick-O-Stick
:{The Poopsmith dunks it in a bucket labelled "dippin stuff", which looks suspiciously like excrement. He offers it to Pom Pom, who shakes his head.}

Astropop
:{The Poopsmith shoots his gun at Pom Pom so it reflects off Pom Pom's "I {heart} Flint" button and his microphone and hits himself in the chest sensor. He falls off the side of the steps.}

Pumpkin
:{The "secret" music from the Zelda video game series plays. The pumpkin is firmly lodged in The Poopsmith's mouth. When the door closes, a caption reads "YOU UNLOCKED A SECRET CHARACTER!"}

Homsar
{Knocks "Shave and a Haircut".}

{This is an Easter egg, only accessible if you give The Poopsmith and Pom Pom the pumpkin.}

Intro
:I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for some candy today!

Shavin' Creem
:YaAaAaAh, I'm the original ladies' man!

Black and Orange Taffy
:(singing) If you give me a treat, make sure that it's sweet, and I'll eeeat iiiiiit!

Wrench
:Oh no, I think this is my favorite!

Strong Bad
{Instead of knocking, Strong Bad shouts "Open the freakin' door!"}

Intro
:Where in the world is my candy?

Fun Size Butterfinger
:Oh, a "fun size" candy bar? Tell me this: what's fun about eating less candy? Maybe if you gave me an entire bag of them it would be fun. The only fun I'm going to have with this thing is smearing it all over your door when I leave. {If you choose this, the door is smeared with the Butterfinger when Strong Sad shows up.}

Marshmallow Bunny
:Why you lazy crap for crap! All you've got is old freakin Easter candy? This thing's rock hard, man. Well, you just made it onto my "People I gotta egg today" list. {He shows you the list: Ronnie Pudding, King of Town, Kewpie Dan, Homestar, and you lazy crap for crap.}

Apple
:What is this crap? What are you, a dentist? Or a hippie? Or some kind of hippie dentist?!

Strong Sad
{Knocks quietly.}

Intro
:Trick or treat, I guess...

Necco candy wafers
:Oh, Necco Wafers. These remind me when I used to eat the colored chalk when I was in school. I was sick for a year and nearly died.

Baking Chocolate
:Oh! Baking Chocolate! I used to eat this stuff when there was no chocolate in the house. And now... it's my only friend...

Campbell's Soup
:Oh. While I do appreciate the relevance of this, given my costume, I was kind of hoping for something that I wouldn't have to prepare. You know, like Necco Wafers or baking chocolate...

Bubs
{Knocks in a rhythm that is later used in Hip Hop Dance.}

Intro
:Please, baby please, baby baby baby please! Give me some candy!

Mallo Cup
:I got a shallow gup and a crallow nup, somebody give me dat Mallow Cup.

Dum-Dums
:Oh! I'm such a big dum-diddy-dum-diddy-diddy-diddy-dum-dum...my.

Bazooka Gum
:I never understand the comics that come in this bubble gum. I mean, the first frame is some guy saying,{he unfolds the comic and shows it to you} "Look out, the sky is falling!" And the second frame is some guy getting hit on the head with a rock {he unfolds the comic and shows it to you again. The second frame is captioned "Fortune: The rock hit the guy in the sweater"}. And I'm sitting there going, "What the heck just happened?", and before I know it, I swallowed my bubble gum!

Homestar Runner
{Homestar continually knocks until you answer.}

Intro
:{singing} Believe it or not, I'm walkin' around, I never thought I could trick or tre-e-eat!

Smarties
:Alright, Smarties! Marzipan said to eat lots of these this year. I'm not really sure why she said that though. {Crickets chirp, record scratches when Homestar breaks the silence.} Umm....... trick or treat!

Circus Peanuts
{Dances and sings Entrance of the Gladiators, long considered a circus theme. You close the door, but Homestar rings the doorbell, and is still dancing.}

Handful of Change
:{sounding slightly dissapointed} Oh. A handful of change. I guess I can use this to go, um, buy some candy. So...thank you for adding a step to my Halloween process.

Later that Night...
The Discussion
HOMESTAR: Hey Strong Bad, I really like your costume. The Spanish Inquisition...that's great.

STRONG BAD: Look, for the last time, I'm not The Spanish Inquisition, I'm not Cab Calloway, and I'm not Strong Bad wearing a yellow turtleneck! I'm Carmen freakin' Sandiego!

MARZIPAN: I like Cab Calloway.

STRONG BAD: Okay, Poopsmith, that's the worst costume I ever saw. I mean, you're Lazer Tag? What, are you supposed to be dressed up as the product or is it more abstract than that, like you're supposed to be the concept of Lazer Tag? Come on man, you know you just found that old crap in a trunk in your basement.

THE KING OF TOWN: Ease off, Strong Bad. He's not the one that dressed up as a girl two years in a row!

STRONG BAD: Oh ho ho ho, you asked for it, King. {Strong Mad punches The King of Town}

BUBS: Did any of you guys go to that house that was givin' out change? I changed my costume and went back ten times! I made 35 dollars!

STRONG SAD: Did you guys go to that house where they let you into this big room and there's all these people wearing black hoods and they ask you these questions about life and existence and if you answer them wrong you get eternal damnation, but if you answer them right you get a Twizzler?

STRONG BAD: Um...no.

HOMESTAR: No.

COACH Z: Nope.

THE KING OF TOWN: No.

BUBS: Nope.

THE CHEAT: Meh!

STRONG MAD: NO!

STRONG SAD: Oh. Never mind.

MARZIPAN: I like your costume, Strong Sad, but you weren't invited this year.

COACH Z: Say, Pom Pom, check out this funky bass groove! A doo'rear, a doo'ri, a doo'rear, a doo'ri! {Grooves around a little}

HOMESTAR: Have they voted yet? I really have to pee.

STRONG BAD: Yeah, and the Poopsmith's not smelling any rosier, either.

HOMESTAR: Oh, oh! I've got an idea. Let's totally freak 'em out. Let's repeat the stuff that we just saaaaid!

{loops back to the start of the discussion}

Easter Eggs
*When Strong Bad's egging list is up, click on "kewpie dan" to see.. something. (Note: although this egg appears to be glitched, it was intended to open this page in a new window.)
*When Pom Pom and the Poopsmith knock at your door, move the pumpkin that's sitting on your porch onto them to unlock Homsar. Homsar will only appear in the final scene if you unlock him, though he doesn't say anything.
*In the final scene when all of the characters are talking, you can roll over the skull, pumpkin and moon to see funny captions.
**Skull: Get offa me!
**Pumpkin: No costume. Just a pumpkin.
**Moon: Just pick a freakin' character already!

Fun Facts
Trivia
*The length of this toon was originally listed as "?:??" on the Toons page. Now it is listed as 4 minutes. The new time is of course an estimate since viewers can choose their paths. There is a total of 10:30 of animation in the game, counting all the paths and the discussion at the end.
*Marzipan's costume has a small hole in it and you can see her pink flesh beneath, giving further evidence to the theory that her body is actually "skirt" shaped.
*Originally Coach Z's intro rap was: "Doot-doo-doot-doo, and I think I'll make ya fall right down on your face, but first let me introduce myself. My name is Hoodsey. Pronounced with an 'Oodsey.'"
*This is the first instance of The Cheat's Head Exploding.

Remarks
*Giving The Cheat and Strong Mad pop rocks shows you a rare glimpse of The Cheat's mouth open without his teeth being visible. This is also the only instance so far that The Cheat has opened his mouth fully.
*Bubs' comment about the house that was giving out change is interesting; he went back ten times and made $35, implying that the inhabitant was giving out on average $3.50 per trick-or-treater—surprisingly generous.
*The only candy that shows up twice is the Fun Size Butterfinger.
*Clicking "Back" takes you to Main Page 7, the Halloween Main Page.
*Strong Bad is seen during the King of Town's segment as well as in Marzipan's reaction to steak, but he is not in costume in either one.

Goofs
*In the final scene where all of the characters are talking, Strong Bad's caption is misspelled: it should read "Carmen Sandiego," not "Carmen San Diego."
**Bubs' caption is also misspelled as "Mars Blackman" instead of "Mars Blackmon."

Glitches
*The light switch can be moved up and down, but it doesn't do anything. You can flip the switch even while the door is opened, and if you leave the light switch down, it will automatically go back up when the next person knocks.
*When viewed in Linux, there are weird sounds related to the door opening and closing. They are always at the same place.
*After Strong Bad says, "Open the freakin' door!" we can hear the sound of the door opening.
**This is not the only toon on the site that has this issue in Linux, either. For example, the email mascot has the same problem at the end when you roll over the notes of the fight song.
*After Bubs says, "Gimme some candy!", the outline under his mouth vanishes, and the shading of his 'MARS' chain also changes.

Inside References
*The following all are references from the previous year's Halloween toon, Homestarloween Party:
**The music that plays when Homestar rises up at the start is the same one used when it was time for "Scary Flashlight Ghost Storytelling With a Flashlight".
**The skull and pumpkin are the same ones which served as the "play" button.
**Stuffing the pumpkin into the Poopsmith's mouth is a reference to when he was seen bobbing for pumpkins and holding them in his mouth.
**Marzipan notes at the end that "I like your costume, Strong Sad, but you weren't invited this year" refers to the fact he had been uninvited the previous year. She told Strong Sad that he couldn't come to next year's party.
**The King of Town's comment on Strong Bad dressing up as a girl for two years in a row refers to the previous Halloween toon where Strong Bad dressed up as Carmen Miranda.
*Bubs' line when you give him the Dum-Dum Pop is a reference to A Jumping Jack Contest.
*The Bazooka Joe comic you see when you give Bubs Bazooka Joe Bubble Gum originally came from an idea The Brothers Chaps thought up of for a possible weekly feature. It was never released until they showed it at the Paste Rock 'n Reel Festival.
*Strong Mad attempted almost the same prank greeting as in this toon on Marzipan%27s Answering Machine Version 4.

Real-World References
*Coach Z is dressed as Humpty Hump, the alter ego of Shock G, frontman for the rap group Digital Underground. *When you drag the pumpkin onto Pom Pom and the Poopsmith, the music that is played is from the Legend of Zelda games, usually when you unlock something (like blowing up a wall with a bomb, thus creating a door). The particular sound music they use in the toon is from "A Link to the Past", as you can hear the dungeon music after the sound plays.
*Homsar's greeting is a play on Wimpy's famous line "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
*Marzipan is dressed as Joey Ramone from the band, the Ramones. Her intro is, "Hey, ho! Let's go!" which is from the Ramones' 1976 hit, "Blitzkrieg Bop". This was also a reference/tribute to Joey's death earlier in 2001.
*Homestar's greeting is sung to the tune of (and is a play on) the theme song to the TV show The Greatest American Hero.
* If you choose Strong Sad for best costume, the subject line of the email is "A vote for Strong Sad is a vote for America." This is a reference to 1984 Presidential Candidate Walter Mondale's Campaign slogan, which was "A vote for Walter Mondale is a vote for America." Mondale lost the election to Ronald Reagan in a landslide, winning only his home state (Minnesota) and the District of Columbia.
<!-- The Idaho-Simpsons thing is mentioned on the Halloween Costumes page. -->

Banned?
Whenever I try to log on to the IRC channel, it says that I am banned. Did I do something wrong? I hope not, because I was only on it once and barely did anything. I am connecting to the #hrnet IRC channel fine, so it isn't my client. So can you help me out?

Site notice template
I created a template for the Monday scheduled chat site notice, :Template:scheduledchat:

<div style="text-align: center; padding: 0.5em; margin: 10px; border-top: 2px solid #ccc; border-bottom: 2px solid #ccc; background: #fff;">scheduledchat</div>

Any thoughts on how it is worded? &mdash; 00:19, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

:I like it! That looks pretty cool. 10:06, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

Time?
Does everyone agree Monday would be the best day of the week? I'm thinking of widening the time out to an hour earlier and an hour later (i.e. 2-6pm Pacific, etc). How does that sound? &mdash; 00:16, 21 May 2005 (UTC)

:Yeah, Monday is probably the best

Brit and Aussie chats?
I don't want to leave our international friends out of the loop here. Do we have enough Brits and Aussies to set up more convenient scheduled chats for them as well? &mdash; 04:10, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

:I haven't figured out how to word it concisely, but we should note that 5&ndash;9 pm ET is 21:00&ndash;1:00 UTC during Daylight Time, 22:00&ndash;2:00 UTC during standard time. &mdash; It's dot com 05:04, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

::I don't know whether there are many people overseas missing out, but the times scheduled at the moment is 7 AM to 11 AM on a Tuesday for Australian Eastern Standard Time (or 6.30 - 10.30 for Central Standard Time, or 5 AM to 9 AM for Western Standard Time). And daylight savings is plus one hour. I'm think we should just change "GMT" to "UTC", because GMT is one hour ahead of UTC in the summer. I'm going to create a little table with the time in different timezones. And this thing is useful for figuring out times on different timezones. 10:06, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

I realize Rainer put a lot of effort into the time zone table, but it's incorrect. It lists the times for New York as 4:00pm&ndash;8:00pm, with a note (way down at the bottom) that you should add an hour in the summer. But this is not true&mdash;If I read correctly what Joey wrote, then it will always be 5&ndash;9pm ET, regardless of whether the U.S. is currently observing Daylight Saving Time. Therefore, one could say that the schedule is based on current continental American time, not Universal Time (UTC). In other words, the chat is from 21:00 to 1:00 when the United States is observing Daylight Time, 22:00 to 2:00 when it is not. Americentric, maybe, but true nevertheless. &mdash; It's dot com 15:03, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

:Perhaps this creates extra work down the road, but we could scrap the notes at the bottom, correct the table for current conditions, and update the table each time daylight savings changes occur. &mdash; 15:36, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

::I did away with the coplicated table. (Sorry, Rainer.) In its place there's a link to the World Time Server, which will let users quickly and easily choose their time zone to figure the start time. The link is dynamic, so it should always give accurate information no matter what the time of year (with the small exception already noted on the page). I also simplified which U.S. time zones were listed on the page to just Eastern/Pacific, since it's less cluttered, and I think most people are used to that from TV anyway. &mdash; It's dot com 18:01, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

Thoroughly Confused!!!
I'm a Mac-user, and none of these IRC clients have a program for Mac. I'm sickeningly horrible with computers, so I have no clue how to get any of this up and running. Whenever I use the chat without a client, it says it can't connect! Can someone help me out here please? -- Homeschool Winner 00:16, 24 May 2005 (UTC)

:Wikipedia:IRC#Clients lists a number of clients for Macintosh. Hope this helps you get connected. We'd love to see you in the channel. &mdash; 03:47, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

On the current scheduling
While it may not have been much of a problem when we were all out of school, Monday nights are now less optimal than other nights, inasmuch as everyone requires their sleep on that night in preparation for Tuesday. However, I'm not here to state the obvious. My proposition is that we change the formal chat party night to Friday. In addition to the length everyone can stay up, another point still stands: on a Monday, one has to not only get to sleep on time, but do homework. On Friday, one can do homework or save it for the weekend. As such, Friday would probably be a much more ideal night for the parties. I'd hope that I share this belief with others... if you do, share that below, please. Oh, and forgot to note: this is not to say that Monday night parties are not of any sense, they can still be held. I merely am asking that a chat party be held on Friday nights, as well. Suicune64 19:07, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)

:Wasn't the original intent of the chat channel to discuss Monday updates? Nonetheless, that's the last thing we ever talk about in there anymore. I'm all up for moving it to Friday. 19:11, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)

::Sure, I can't be there every Friday, but at least more than Monday. <font face="tw cen mt">E<small>D</small>S<small>MILDE</small></font>

:::In keeping with the original intent, I'd like to keep holding scheduled chats on Mondays, but I have nothing against holding them on Fridays as well, and it seems logical. We've had more people in the channel lately, so bringing the scheduled chats up to twice weekly sounds like a good idea. I'll go ahead and update the sitenotice template and the IRC channel page accordingly. See you in the channel! &mdash; 22:23, 13 Sep 2005 (UTC)

::::That would work great for me, seeing as it would start 7AM Saturday for me, and I can only go on the computer at that time on weekends. 07:07, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)

A suggestion in light of circumstances
It seems to me as if the chat parties have lost something recently... the sort of comraderie once had in said gatherings is now drowned and diluted by the influx of *ahem* newer persons. This coincides with the beginning of the consistency of the usage of the wiki-wide notice about the chat parties. It helps not that the notice gathers the intention of the newcomers from HR.net, those well-intentioned and those not so. At present rate, regardless of their origin, it attracts the eye of a many who think it most amusing to simply be annoying idiots. In favour of the notice's removal? Not in favour? If in favour, please say so, and if not in favour, please say why. Thanks, Suicune64 22:21, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

:I'm going to have to agree with Suicune on this one. Just the other day we had three impersonating trolls online. And I should hope that none of them were from this website. &mdash; 11:35, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

::I'm in favor. Today's scheduled chat starts in about 5 minutes, and I'm not going to advertise it. We'll see how this goes. &mdash; 20:50, 14 October 2005 (UTC)

Pixelated: Added a lot to my user page

Introduction
Hey guys! I'm a member over down towards the Fanstuff, and I do a lot of stuff there... OK... so maybe not a lot... but still! I decided I would also start really trying to help out here. So... yeah! I'll get right to it!
-

Stuff I'm Proud Of
*Mike Chapman - Added that he went to Dunwoody High School. I learned this when I talked to him at the Rock and Reel Festival.

{I raised my hand}

STRONG BAD: Yes you, glasses-man!

{Crowd laughs}

ME: How do you type with boxing gloves on?

STRONG BAD: AAAAAAH!! I'm going to frickin-... um... don't
ever ask me that question again...

{Crowd laughs}
