'''20X6''' is an era of cartoons that depict stereotypical [[Wikipedia:Anime|Japanese cartoons]]. 20X6 stars anime versions of the standard "present era" characters. Strong Bad becomes Stinkoman, a reference to the email "[[island]]". :Sure, there's a lot of post-modern/post-punk bands that will use upside down or reversed logos to go along with an unconventional image. Most famously is [[Wikipedia:Nine Inch Nails|Nine Inch Nails]]'s logo. KMFDM released an ep titled [[Wikipedia: MDFMK (single)|MDFMK]]. R.E.M.'s 1985 album [[Wikipedia: Fables of the Reconstruction|''Fables Of The Reconstruction'']] is written in a circle on the LP, so it could also be read ''Reconstruction Of The Fables''. This is a case where it's not referring to a specific logo, more of a general attitude. == Name that Genre ==

Let's sort this out once and for all: what genre is sloshy? Personally, I'm 100% certain they're Alternative Rock. They have all the stereotypes of the genre: No lead guitarist, glasses, little mainstream success until the death of Hair Metal, short hair, no costumes, electric guitar solos, songs with weird titles that aren't about girls/Los Angeles/good times. The list goes on. Furthermore, the appearance of [[Limozeen: "but they're in space!"]] validates my theory: in the episode, they were knocked off the charts by an alternative rock band who had short hair and glasses. Then, Strong Bad throws the remote at Strong Sad "for you and your kind destroying metal!". sloshy, a band which Strong Sad is a fan of, must therefore also be alternative rock. Plus, sloshy can be compared to [[They Might Be Giants]], and we all know about the close relationship between the band and the website. :Well I guess I consider all the trappings you speak of the be more associated with Indie Rock than Alternative Rock. To me Alternative Rock (capital A, capital R) went mainstream around 92/93 and that tag came to mean something other than alternative rock (small a, small r). While the same thing may happen to the indie tag I think that the sort of underground, small club, pitchfork appearing, college radio band that sloshy is a caricature of is better called indie rock (the Pavement comparison is fitting I think). For that matter I would never think to call They Might Be Giants Alternative Rock, only dads in their 40's would make that mistake. They are clearly indie pop...clearly. The Alternative/Indie Rock tag is fine with me, as with any of these sub genres peoples connotations for a tag will greatly influence what bands they thing fit that tag (emo anyone?). -Goodness Of Fit

I have a theory, leading from this picture I believe the guy who is turned around talking to the bassist is the drummer, then the guy driving is the keyboardist. I think that because Strong Bad says that they strung a bunch of christmas lights on the bass drum which would mean that they would have to be able to see the drummer. So that leaves the Keyboardist and bassist, but if you rember Strong Bad was wondering if the Bassists sungalsses lenses fell out so he would have had to of seen him clearly. So that just leaves the key boardist, now I think that because if TBC are running the same gag as we are to never see his face then that would make him be the keyboardist. That's just my idea though.

I don't know if you guys understand what types of sounds instruments make, but there are obviously no keayboards in any of sloshy's music. Just because they say there isn't any lead guitarist doesn't mean there's no guitarist at all. I picture the general stage presece of the band as:

The guy with glasses is the bassist. The guy in the black shirt is the drummer. The guy in the flannel is the guitarist who is turned away from the audience. The vocal duties are really up in the air, unless we want to try and compare the song vocal tracks with the voices in the easter egg.

And that's just staying within the realm of alternative. American punk is rife with vocalists who very intentionally effect a [[Wikipedia:Cockney|cockney]] accent for some sort of perceived "cred". I don't realy know if i added this in right, but it has to be said. sloshy reminds me of my favourite band the cure. the vocalist is a token Robert smith, and prety much sings exactly how he does (british accent, repeative lyrics, the song ending are also very similar). early in the seris stong sad was a fan of the cure (poster); my theory is that sloshy is a more alternative reinvention of the group.

Much of sloshy's performance style, if not particularly their musical style, sounds like a sterotypical parody of shoegazing. :What are you talking about?! Sloshy doesn't have a british accent at all! His singing style is nothing like robert smith who had a slightly higher voice and used harmonization alot, And sloshy is the type of band who uses distortion alot as opposed to the Cure which tended more toward clean guitars with choruses and flangers and such. Sloshy is almost a direct parody of Pavement (look up their website and download one of their free songs.) I know The Cure used distortion every once in a while but sloshy is more the type who would use it all the time.
