I was the one who originally said this was better left for being on the fanstuff wiki (I put the deleted thing on, but [[User:Tabacco|Tabacco]] removed it I guess). Anyone else thinks this should be put as fanstuff? Because it's not a part of the official homestarrunner.com site. {{User:Iyeru/sig}}
:This differs from fanstuff, as this is an official licensed Homestar Runner game (like the long-delayed [[Homestar Runner RPG]] or the appearance of "Trogdor" in [[Guitar Hero]]). Since it is official licensed (and even being "developed" by Videletrix), then this will be documented by the regular Wiki. Too bad this game can't be played by me. Not everyone's good enough to get a Wii. Although the article says it's also for the PC, I highly doubt that will be a reality. It makes me so frustrated when new consoles come out. Especially onces that cost over 200 USD, when I could get something productive (Like Photoshop CS3 Extended) for 320 USD. Which I ''will'' get 'cause I have no Wii. Why not get the wii, you ask? Because I want my damnz photoshop! Been entirely too long since I last had it. {{User:Iyeru/sig}}

:::Our first run distribution is almost always through our website as downloads. With Sam & Max, we released the games as downloads and then once the whole season was over we assembled a disc and offered it up free to season subscribers. Not sure if that's what we're doing for Strong Bad (nobody tells me anything fun), but they will be available to download from our site. And no, they won't be Vista only. == Legal Rampage Issue ==

Transcripts are at the heart of our wiki, allowing us to have a reference guide for Homestarrunner.com and to save us the hassle of sitting through an entire toon to check a line or scene. With this in mind, to what extent will we transcribe the game? I'm against the idea of recording EVERY single line for two reasons: firstly, it would be a massive job to do. Undoubtedly there'll be tens of thousands of lines of dialogue throughout the game and it'll be impossible to find and store them all. The second reason is for legal issues: it seems to be OK to transcribe toons on the website since the transcripts won't significantly affect page views to the website and the toons are free in the first place. This game, on the other hand, will not be: the point of buying and playing the game is to find the dialogue yourself. And I don't want Telltale's lawyers to hit this wiki with a cease-and-desist order if they feel our actions harm the sales of their game. However, I think it'd still be OK to write walkthroughs and post Fun Facts on the game, in a similar manner to other websites. {{User:The Chort/sig}} 19:42, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
:A few minor stylistic things aside, I think the best way to "transcribe" this game (I don't think that's the right word) would be entirely similar to [[Thy Dungeonman II]] however, without creating the companion page [[Thy Dungeonman II Messages]]. This system would give us the fun facts and the walk-through and the glitches and the tips and everything else that you would expect from The Wiki, without any of the legal or commercial issues you spoke of. Since it looks like this game will produce a large number of external links (IGN et al. game reviews, material from Telltale, forums), how should we organize them? Traditionally, we've put forum links on the bottom (which in this case would include both Telltale's and ours), and material directly from Telltale at the top. :I used to notice glitches like this in lots of emails on my old computer, and don't any more. I suspect they're not actually glitches in the flash file itself; rather, they seem to be the result of the video being lagged slightly and desyncing from the audio. Thus, at the end of the email, the sound plays forward into the easter egg segment while the video track, several frames behind, is still approaching the "stop and wait" command. I used to be able to force glitches like this to happen by running memory intensive programs while watching the cartoons. Upgrading Flash might well have been enough to fix the problem on your end; mine just went away when I got a faster computer.
