== Category? ==
What category is this? Characters? -- [[User:AgentSeethroo|AgentSeethroo]] 09:24, 13 Aug 2004 (MST)

:Ahh, this is one of those pages that isn't linked to aside from the links on Easter Egg pages and the Emails they were in. I'd have to say this would get lumped into the same category as whatever the other Secondary Characters go under. -- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 10:35, 13 Aug 2004 (MST)

== Ugh ==
And ugh, this page is horrible. Too much is assumed about who plays who. -- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 10:35, 13 Aug 2004 (MST)

:How're we gonna go about linking [[Strong Bad Email|Stong Bad Emauls]]? Will it always be [[Strong Bad Email]] [[haircut]] <-- Like that? That gets a little hard on the eyes sometimes...What do you think? -- [[User:AgentSeethroo|AgentSeethroo]]

::One thing you have to remember is that things should really only get linked too once. If the word "Strong Bad" appears in ten different time on a page, it should only be linked the first time. We never really kept to that with 'Tavi. But to answer your question (I really don't know where that other point came from), I've been just putting [[haircut]] without the leading [[Strong Bad Email]]. I think the "Strong Bad Email haricut" was just used because for a while we didn't know we could change the link title with a pipe. So we'd have ((StrongBadEmail/haircut)). Yeah, just use the email's name. -- [[User:Tom|Tom]] 10:47, 13 Aug 2004 (MST)

== The Thanksgiving E-Cards ==

Since someone finally provided a working mirror of the Thanksgiving E-Cards, should a page be done about them? I think some of the information in them is pretty interesting, mostly about how it confirms that [[Gary Palaroncini]] is Gary from Limozeen (and that everybody's last name in Limozeen seems to be Palaroncini at that). Just decided to ask before doing anything. --[[User:TheNintenGenius|TheNintenGenius]] 23:02, 16 Feb 2005 (MST)

== Gunderson ==

I looked at the names of the newly added tour places and saw "Gunderson". how do you think it's linked to Emtarkanderundersgunderson from [[the process]]? I bet that there are a lot of names like this in here, just need to find them.

== "Donny" Chapman ==

I recall it being spelled "Donnie" in one of the various Brothers Chap interviews. --[[User:Spanky The Dolphin|Spanky The Dolphin]] 14:45, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

''In the email "flashback," Matt Chapman is everybody in Limozeen,''

...what does this mean? It doesn't look like the same person physically playing each character. Does Matt dub over all the voices? Or what?
[[User:Caradhras|Caradhras]] 17:07, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
:Look more closely. It really is Matt playing all four parts. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 18:17, 22 Sep 2005 (UTC)
== Album Mention ==

No mention of the album "Zeenin' Into the Night"?
This is definately cannon, as it appears in the liner of StrongBad Sings and Other Type Hits.

I suggest adding it to the Known Albums.

I think we need to separate the Albums and the Songs, there seems to be some blurred areas between them. For example: Feed the Childrens and Zeenin' Into the Night are albums, not songs. --[[User:Jrgilby|Jrgilby]] 02:02, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Couldn't "Danapolis" be a play on "Indianapolis"?
:It's closer to "Annapolis", but not really. Coz it could be a play on the common city ending of "-polis". --[[User:DorianGray|DorianGray]]
::Might be a refernce to [[Dan]]. Is it already?

== Um, who IS Limozeen? ==

I don't think the bros. have as much musical talent as their pseudonyms do (besides the vocals). So, who actually does the music for Limozeen? --{{User:Super Martyo Brother/sig}} 04:11, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

:I'm not sure, but I tend to think that they do all the music themselves, except where noted (e.g., [[different town]]). Also, most of Limozeen's music is pretty basic, with the possible exception of the guitar solos. And if one of them can't actually play that fast, then there's a good possibility that they recorded it a slower speed or did some other kind of trick to get the recording &mdash; there are lots of ways to fake things in a studio.

:At any rate, I don't think they would use other musicians without giving them credit, so if we don't hear anything about it on the DVDs, it's a good assumption that TBC do all Limozeen's music themselves. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 04:17, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
== We're still Limozeen! ==

I don't know if this would be more relevant in [[Talk:Limozeen]] or [[Talk:Limozeen: "but they're in space!"]] Is it safe to assume that the Limozeen in Space people replaced the 4 Mikes as the main forms of Limozeen? We haven't seen Mike dress as a Palarochini since [[death metal]], and Limozeen's last three appearances were in Limozeen in Space form. [[User:Bad Bad Guy|Bad Bad Guy]] 22:53, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
:You mean [[Matt]]. I don't know whether anything is "safe" to assume when talking about in-universe happenings, but to answer your question, no, I don't think the "in space" versions have replaced the "real" versions. I think we're just being treated to snips of the TV show (which are presumably unaired, since it was canceled). Also, I just count two appearances of the "in space" forms since [[best thing]]. The appearances in the [[coloring]] book and the laser show are different kinds of illustrations. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 23:50, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
:::Ah, right. I didn't know until now that Limozeen vs. sloshy had an Easter egg. Either way, the "in space" clips are still in space, not "real". &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 05:24, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
== Message ==

Earlier this year, it was [http://www.hrwiki.org/wiki/HRWiki:Main_Page_Talk_Archive_37#Edit_shortage suggested] that there be a site notice that asks people to give their opinion on deletion discussions. Should we put up such a message? Not only will this help clean out the Articles for Discussion category, which some pages have been in for over a year, but it may also boost the wiki's edit count, which is quite low these days (that was also pointed out in that discussion). And on a partially related note, is the fundraising drive still going? 'Cause autumn (spring where I live) is over. {{User:RickTommy/sig}} 13:13, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
:Yes. We may or may not change the name, but the fundraising drive will be going on for the foreseeable future. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 04:13, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
:I don't really see boosting the edit count as that important, but seeing as a lot of those articles have been in the category for a while, we should do ''something'' to garner attention. Not sure what, though. {{User:Power Pie/sig}} 20:01, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

== Wiki image ==
I noticed the Homestar image in the top left corner (of every page) is just a gif, and a high quality one at that. It's over a megabyte. That's a GB of bandwidth for every thousand people who have to download that gif when they visit the site. I dunno, considering you guys are always asking for donations to help pay for the server, it seems like you could be cutting down a bit by replacing that gif with a light-weight SWF or something. --[[Special:Contributions/184.56.45.155|184.56.45.155]] 03:36, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
:Normally it's a [{{SERVER}}{{SCRIPTPATH}}/skins/common/images/wiki-kb.gif small image]. We only use the larger one for a week or two at Decemberween time. We monitored our bandwidth last year and, while it did increase noticeably, it was only a fraction of our overall usage. Besides, we have unlimited bandwidth in our current setup, and it was over a year since our previous fundraiser. Not that a SWF is a bad idea, if only because it would give us more flexibility. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 05:16, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
:No. Yes. Maybe. It's hard to answer yes/no questions like this one. If you can come up with enough material, '''be bold''' and create the article. If you are worried about going to a lot of effort for nothing, then at least try and make a case when asking the question. I personally can't think of a lot of stuttering or stammering off the top of my head, though. {{User:OptimisticFool/sig}} 07:08, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
== Discussion templates ==

It seems that there have been a few cases where one discussion bleeds onto another page, and certainly there are quite a few cases where conversations have transferred pages. Should we make templates for these occasions, like {{t|discussion-continued}}, {{t|discussion-moved}}, and {{t|discussion-transferred}}? {{User:Soiled Bargains/sig}} 20:37, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
::My opinion now is the same as a month ago: meh. They might be useful, but the formatting is so simple and the wording so straightforward that it's hardly worth making templates. So are we back to one cartoon every 8 months now, or what's the deal? The Brothers Chaps have never really given a formal statement as to what's going on with the site there, here, or anywhere else. == User pages of banned accounts/useless templates twofer discussion ==

I would like to point out that many people who have been permanently banned still retain their userpages. Examples include [[User:Bubs And Pom Pom Fan|Bubs and Pom Pom Fan]] (alternate account for Marzifan) [[User:H*Bad|H*Bad]] (for use of sockpuppets) and [[User:Ugozima|Ugozima]] (threatening to DoS the wiki). I have previously tried bringing this up, but I was a lot more forceful, immature and... well, that's behind us. The point is, these pages are not visibly different than any other account, but we have a banner for such things [[Template:block|here]].
{| class="usermessage" style="padding:5px;"
| [[Image:Octagon-warning.png|50px]]
|}
When I attempted to add this template, it was undone, as I, admittably, was overstepping my allowances. But again, that was a year ago, and that isn't the point. The point is that we have this template, can use it, but are not using it. And it isn't even the only one. Some templates haven't been used since we changed our wiki's holding, and won't ever need use. Examples include [[Template:wrongtitle|wrongtitle]], [[Template:soft redirect|soft redirect]] and the rather bizarre [[Template:Trophy|Trophy]]. Where I'm getting at about all of this is:
*1 &mdash; Should we add the above template to currently existing user-pages without a user, leave them, or delete them altogether?
*2 &mdash; Should we weed out obsolete, unneeded templates that only take up space and never see use.
I bring this up now as, since we are in a lull, it is quiet enough to properly discuss this without thousands of other projects being done. So now that we have the silence to discuss it, let's discuss. --[[User:Jellote|Jellote]] [[User talk:Jellote|wuz]] [[Special:Contributions/Jellote|here]] 01:06, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
:These templates haven't been deleted because they are being used. [[Special:WhatLinksHere]], accessible through its similarly named-link in the sidebar, lists the transclusions of a page. Each of the templates you've mentioned are currently transcluded, mainly onto the userpages of those who have been long gone. {{t|Trophy}}, unlike the others however, is being discussed. In my opinion, it would only waste time to handle/substitute these transclusions so we can safely delete the templates. In regards to {{t|block}}, I don't mean to speak for the sysops, but I find it draws more attention to user-critical situations than necessary. {{User:Soiled Bargains/sig}} 02:51, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
MST3K is the funniest sketch comedy series from the 90's<br>
It took place on a satellite with two robots watching shitty movies<br>
They made fun of Manos: The Hands of Fate and This Island Earth<br>
They made fun of a lot of other movies, but not just those two<br>
Talk:Powered by The Cheat

Howard Wulkan:

{{featuredarticle}}

I love what was done with this page. It's really been brought up to par with [[Holiday Toons]], what with having the minor Powered by The Cheat refferances added too. Now all that's needed is upgrading [[Puppet Stuff]] the same way... {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 04:05, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

== Mysteriousness ==
I dare you to answer this without saying "Mike Chapman":

If The Cheat can't speak English, who does the voices for his cartoons?

:Some text-to-speech program? &mdash;[[User:BazookaJoe|BazookaJoe]] 19:33, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

::Isn't there some interview that says that The Cheat does the vocals? I think that I saw that around here. {{User:Rogue Leader/sig}} 19:44, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

::Me too. [[User:Mr. Bojangles|Mr. Bojangles]]

Synthetic voices, programmed by iVideo (or a similar program for flash) or a program from the internet,(since we think Tangerine and the more recent unnamed as Macs) that allows the creation of one word at a time dubbed over an animation (which would explain some of the pauses taken by characters when no real pause is needed, listen on some of the PBTC toons to see which ones have it (I can't remember exactly, but mile comes to mind)), while The Cheat talks for himself with a mic that is standard on most Macs. It would allow for similar, but not exact, replicas of his friends/neighbors voices when they are not there to speak for themselves (except Strong Bad). I'm sure that somewhere a program like that exists/existed if it wasn't part of iVideo (or a similar program for flash). Now I've never used a Mac, so I'm hoping what I say is even possible. I also hope that people read this, because this topic is 2 years old. [[User:Stinkoblade|Stinkoblade]] 03:34, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

:I think The Cheat is using a synthesized voice program of some sort because at the beginning of [[Rap Song]] Coach Z asks PCP if he can "record" on his new album, stressing the first syllable and pronouncing it "reck-erd" implying that The Cheat typed in the word "record" and the computer interpreted it wrong. [[User:MenacingBanjo|MenacingBanjo]] 17:44, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

== Gee... ==
They haven't made any toons for this section in a long time. When do you think they'll update it again? [[User:Ian911299|Ian911299]]
:Probably not. [[User:Sbmaniac|Sbmaniac]]

== Poor Imitations of voices ==
True, but you know, Coach Z is pretty close.
== Bad Guy ==

Are you sure that the visuals in Strong Bad is a Bad Guy are PBTC-style?

:I wouldn't think so, as the voices are actually Strong Bad, Homestar and the rest. - [[User:Almo|Almo]]

:What about the tatoos?

::I think [[Strong Bad is a Bad Guy]] is not PBTC-style. All the characters look normal and their voices are normal. It's just that Flash is easier to work with than Mario Paint so they look a bit crummy and have limited animation. {{User:The Chort/sig}} 18:44, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

==Alternate theory==
Most people think that these cartoons are a parody of other bad flash cartoons, but what if there's another explanation? When a real-life person makes a flash cartoon, that catoon natually looks much more primitive that reality. Therefore, if a flash-person (i.e. The Cheat) makes a flash cartoon, it follows that his creation will look much more primitive than his flash-reality. What do you think?
: (Probably a lot later than the previous unsigned comment, but oh well) That would excuse the visuals and sound quality, maybe, but not the content. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 07:58, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
::An interesting question. A cartoon does indeed compress real life into a few minutes of entertainment, thereby losing a lot of detail and fleshing-out. It could be assumed that a cartoon character's cartoon would suffer an equivalent loss of content, perhaps to the extent that the plot would be unintelligible. Think about it. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 08:04, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
::: One could also point out that Strong Bad made [[Sweet Cuppin' Cakes|his own cartoon]] which did ''not'' suffer in terms of graphics and sound quality. The plot makes even less sense than PbTC, but that's kinda the premise in the first place. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 08:06, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
::::But Strong Bad also created the formulaic Teen Girl Squad, Dangeresque, and other stock stuff. One graphical triumph does not a non-Flash-animation-poser make. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 08:12, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

==G5?==
Hey, didn't The Cheat recently upgrade to an iMac G5 flat-panel? Does he still do "Powered by The Cheat" toons with that thing?

:We should assume so. I'm willing to bet that The Cheat just moved Flash over to his new computer or something. But then again, y'know, it's just a cartoon. ¤ {{User:The Mu/sig}} 21:35, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

== Create a page? ==

I was wondering can I create a page about strong bad's replys to powered by the cheat or would that be unnecessary. -{{User:Flamer8965/sig}} 06:14, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

:If there was a page like that, I'll vote for merging it here. Try creating a new section. {{User:E.L. Cool/sig}} 07:59, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

== toonnav ==

How come we don't use <nowiki>{{toonnav}}</nowiki> on pbtc toons? Every other toon category that has it's own button on the remote control seems to use it. {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}} 19:34, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
:My guess is that there weren't enough PBTC toons before. Are there enough now? {{User:Bad Bad Guy/sig}} 20:51, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
::I'm going to '''be bold''' and do it. I noticed that [[mile]] is ''both'' a Powered by the Cheat toon and also happens to be a sbemail. For that one, I placed the PbTC <nowiki>{{toonnav}}</nowiki> at the start of the actual PbTC portion of the email, and added a redirect to the anchor to avoid the # notation in the previous and next PbTC. {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}} 21:29, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Would it be worth it to actually mention in either the Strong Bad Email Menus or Fun Facts section that the links to the Lappy and Corpy menus still feature the most recent (Compé-era) updates, while the other menus still on the H*R site only go up to the last e-mail posted on them?

Naturally, the explanation is that these Flash files still access the current list, while the other menus are effectively closed files. It's not strictly necessary to put it up there, but I at least find it interesting. '''''[[user:Kyojikasshu|kyojikasshu]]''''' 21:04, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
== Calculated Update Frequency ==

In a fit of nerdular nerdulance, I decided to calculate the update frequency for the different sbemail eras. It might be worth noting to show how TBC have gradually moved away from the "updates every Monday" phase.

First up, the three primary (and now completed) eras:

* Tandy era ([[halloweener]] - [[vacation]]) - 1 sbemail / 1.19 weeks (8.35 days)
* Compy era ([[invisibility]] - [[virus]]) - 1 sbemail / 1.46 weeks (10.23 days)
* Lappy era ([[animal]] - [[email thunder]]) - 1 sbemail / 2.43 weeks (17 days)

Note that the Tandy era begins with the first sbemail listed with a definitive date of posting, with both [[some kinda robot]] and [[homsar]] listed as being posted "on or before September 13, 2001". Assuming a posting of some kinda robot no earlier than August 27, the following would be the high end average figure:
* Tandy era ([[some kinda robot]] [estimate] - [[vacation]]) - 1 sbemail / 1.25 weeks (8.73 days)

For the Lappy era, I listed the regular update period through sbemail 200. If we factor in the more than nine month break before hremail3184, the numbers are skewed thusly:
* Lappy era ([[animal]] - [[hremail3184]]) - 1 sbemail / 2.88 weeks (20.17 days)

Since the Corpy transition consists of only one sbemail, frequency of Corpy sbemails is a non-factor.

Finally, you have the Compé era, which has been stalled due to the current baby hiatus. We can only go by the date of the most recent update, which at this point is videography (October 5).
* Compé era ([[independent]] - [[videography]]) - 1 sbemail / 2.67 weeks (18.67 days)

Alternatively, if we were to consider the "modern era", the resumption of sbemails from hremail3814 on, as a separate update period, we'd get a different figure:
* Modern era (transition from Lappy to Compé: [[hremail3184]] - [[videography]]) - 1 sbemail / 2.77 weeks (19.4 days)

::::Okay, I think I know why sbemail206 is not coming. In DTotM, when Strong Bad's gloves turn into hands, the Compe gets knocked away. This means the Compe is most likely broken. Or (this may sound ridiculous, but I think it's also possible) they want our article on [[the basics]] to stay with the lowest page hits. This is all speculation, and baseless speculation at that. Did Homestar never appear again outside of the painintg after [[Jibblies 2]]? Did Homsar stay dead after [[homsar]]? Did the tandy and compy stay dead? These types of continuity just don't happen in the HR universe in general. == Forum Redirect ==

Since the HRWiki forum is down, alot of the regular users have taken refuge to http://www.inversetiger.com/forum/ . However, pretty much the only way for people on the forum to communicate to each other now is by email. Since barely anyone shows their email address, the last resort option is to communicate by editing your sig. Even then, most people don't go looking through a locked forum looking at people's sigs(which is where I found the link). The result: Only the regular users found link. So, I figured that it would be best if you posted some sort of link on the front page of the Wiki or something so people can find it.

There are currently a few Wiki User Emails on the list of fanstuffs to be saved, and it's been decided that this would be a great chance to get them over to the Wiki User Wiki. My question is whether it would be easier to use whatever fancy method you're using to transfer them across or whether it would be easier to just do it manually.<br/ >
Cheers, {{User:Super_Sam/sig}} 19:39, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
:I don't know if this is the specific fancy way that DC's going to use, but if you want to transfer stuff, then the easy way is to go to [[HRFWiki:Special:Export]], and put in all the page-names (one per line), and mash go. That'll give you an XML file that you can feed into Special:Import on WUW (you'll need to be sysop to use Special:Import, but Special:Export can usually be run by anyone). As well as being able to copy lots of pages in one hit, you can also (if you want) include each page's history, and all the templates they use. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 22:47, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
I just think it's funny that you've blanked the sandbox {{p|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?limit=50&title=Special%3AContributions&contribs=user&target=Record307&namespace=4&year=2009&month=1 once a day every day for the past 11 days}} (except the 9th (when you did it twice) and the 15th (which you missed)). I myself blank the sandbox on occasion, but not like clockwork. Generally speaking, having a blank or non-blank sandbox makes no difference, and so I find it interesting that you've kept it up. But I'm just teasing, not trying to be offensive. :) (By the way, if it's not obvious, the icon there is a blank sandbox.) :Wow, Nikolce, long time no hear from. We don't really have a template for that kind of thing, but you can make a banner by taking some code from one of our other templates and putting it on your page. Then you can update the message to suit whatever you need it to say. I'm curious how long a while is (your last edit was last April, which is what I'd consider a while). &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 11:42, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Dear Mr. Com,
I understand that you must envisage me as a person who takes the Homestar Runner Wiki for granted, as I have created several different users. I am writing here to plead my case to change my username.
When I first created the account Jagger88, I looked at my talk page, and deleted the Welcome comment straight away. I therefore did not look at any information I may have needed. Therefore, I had no idea there was a way to change your username, and therefore created new users whenever I wanted to have a different username. If you look at recent changes, you will see that I have not used Do-Nots, Open Source Greg, or the new paper rox since you gave me a warning (the user Hremails was my brothers before he got confused with all the computer language).<br>
(I did like, the whole transcript for [[Pistols for Pandas]], discovered [[Career Day]], and the [[Sbemails' 50 Greatest Hits DVD]], aswell as along the way improving my understanding of this wiki.<br>
Hi Dot Com. I was just passing by to tell you that I, for one, am most delighted about how the purge took over 500 days. Without the purge, I'd still be dwelling on the Fanstuff Wiki with not much else to do, but since its absence, I've pursued other hobbies and personal projects, which most probably wouldn't have happened if the Fanstuff Wiki was still around. For example, since it went down with the purge, I've started to learn more about programming and website creation, not to mention polishing up my English skills and discovering my humble abilities as an amateur musician. That's really all I have to say. And again, thank you. <small>No this contains no sarcasm whatsoever.</small> -[[User:20eric06|20eric06]] 02:07, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
== Regarding [[Talk:Scroll_Button_Songs#Mirror_Glitch|Mirror Glitch]] ==

Hey, man. I just went over the articles for cleanup and saw [[Scroll Button Songs]]. The article looked OK and I went over the last few talk page posts to see why it should be cleaned up. I saw no problem, and I was just about to remove the template, when I decided to dig in the history a little and came across [http://www.hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Scroll_Button_Songs&diff=prev&oldid=645922 this edit] from almost exactly a year ago. That discussion started two and a half years ago, and the article has been in "cleanup" ever since. Is that REALLY such a big of an issue? I mean, it looks like some technical thing to fix that should not bother the casual reader. I didn't even notice the email list on the mirrors after I read the talk page. I just listened to the songs. What I'm suggesting is to remove the template and you'll just fix whatever you need to fix whenever you got the time, since the article itself is fine. {{User:Elcool/sig}} 06:41, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
:I'm not sure why you're asking me. I already {{p|l={{fullurl:Scroll Button Songs|diff=559384&oldid=559344}} removed that cleanup template}} once, and I didn't make the edit you linked to. I'm sure there's a lot of people that would be capable enough to run that wiki that update frequently enough to care. I'm not saying it's me, i haven't done anything on either for over a year besides now, but I'm sure there are people that care about the fanstuff wiki as much as you care about the knowledge base. and i don't believe either site deserves to die just for lack of usage after the purge. a lot of the users just said "screw it" after waiting so long for it to come back, it seems unfair to close it for good before there's time to get more people interested again.
== New Logo ==
Did you make that? What a great idea! {{User:Homestar-Winner/sig}} 03:11, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
:Actually, the idea came from the annony of [[{{#ifexist:HRWiki:Main Page Talk Archive 40|HRWiki:Main Page Talk Archive 40#Wiki image|Talk:Main Page#Wiki image}}|this Main Page discussion]], who was concerned about the bandwidth being [[isp|sucked up]] by that giant, 1 MB GIF. That is some epic decompiler work you did there, Dot Com! I've always wondered how you got Homestar in the logo like that, and I enjoy the little Easter Egg. The addition of Flash detection is also very nice. Except I'm not that big of a fan of the lost Decemberween colors, but it adds consistency and balances the page, in my opinion. Also, you might want to remove the special no-click treatment for the 'flakes. It's making my cursor spazz-out. Anyway, great work! ::Well, to be fair, all he said was that we should make it into a SWF, which is an idea that I had years ago but had never taken the time to implement. :We're using the [[Wikipedia:SWFObject|SWFObject]] method of adding SWF files to pages, which seems to work well across many browsers while also being compatible with devices with no Flash support. It requires placing <code>swfobject.js</code> on your server in addition to your SWF logo. OK. Also, since I already made this one section on your user talkpage, I might as well ask another question that came to mind. The MediaWiki extension that makes a new special page, which can allow someone to view a scrambled version of a specified page, is that available on request? Or is it already in the MediaWiki get extensions list? [[User:LikeLakers2|LikeLakers2]] 23:08, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
:No, it's not available anywhere. &mdash; [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 23:30, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
He escorted me to the list with a grin on his stupid face<br>
Gingerbread came over to his user page once<br>
He edited the page and put vulgar bullshit on it<br>
He then came over to his house with a stick and him him upside the head<br>
After that, he stole $300<br>
