I transcribed this e-mail from the Brothers Chaps' [[Georgia_Tech_-_26_Apr_2007|recent Georgia Tech visit]]. It was the best I could do given the quality of the video (which you can download and watch from the above page). I trust that someone will be able to clean this up a lot once the next E-mail DVD comes out, but until then, please enjoy this exciting peek into the next DVD exclusive.

I also had the same thought but finally dismissed it for the following reasons: 1) The Brothers Chaps knew they were being filmed and that the film would be posted online, so if they were worried about information about the e-mail getting out, they would have said something or otherwise not shown the e-mail to the audience. 2) A transcript is no substitute for the cartoon itself. 3) If transcripts of DVD features could impact sales before the DVD is released, they could also impact sales after the DVD is released, since in either case, someone could read the transcript instead of purchasing the DVD. The Wiki has transcripts for the premium content on the other DVDs, yet there's no concern over how those transcripts might affect sales of those DVDs.

:::That said, I'll leave the decision up to the Wiki Administrators. If they feel that this page should not exist until the Chaps release the next Strong Bad DVD, they can take whatever action they feel is appropriate. No hard feelings on my part.

While this will be on a DVD in the near future, it was part of a presentation that's freely available to the public. It's funny, during the second half of the presentation, [[TBC]] show a parts of an as-yet unreleased video they did for [[TMBG]]. They muted it, since they figure TMBG wouldn't want the song heard, but Matt says, "We didn't have to sign a non-disclosure agreement or anything."

:I think the writing on the chalkboard isn't in any particular font at all. Look at the R's in the image. They're completely different from each other. I assume that the Zappy XT6 has no article of its own because it might cause a spolier of some sort. If it did have one, it doesn't have to have an image, just look at [[Jurvy-Skat]]. What I also noticed is that anything/anyone that appears only once will still have his/her/its own article, like [[Wilbur]] or [[Pom Pom's Hypothetical Family]].

I don't think the page should be deleated. I think that by using the name that Private Martin came up with is a very good idea, since it fits the page far better. I think that this page does have potential, since violence between the two characters is something notable in the Homestar Runner Canon. Don't deleat it, just change the subject a little and rename it.

I see your point Robot Fish, but the emnity between Homestar and Strong Bad is of Particular importance. It always has been and always will be and is a "Founding Father" (Father of Confederation for the Canadian fans) of sorts for what Homestar Runner is today. It was toons about the conflict between these two characters that helped to kickstart the site. This page should be kept, but if you insist on deleating it, then at the very least move the subject matter to Homestar's character page. And finally, thanks for your support Private!-Sbu

We try to err on keeping material rather deleting it except when it's some ambiguos "real-world reference" that is too ify. I don't particularly want to have a position on whether it should stay or not, but let's say that if it does, it should definitely have some work done. For instance, at the moment, the first two lines of text are fine, and factual. The third is confusing and/or just plain wrong, and the fourth meanders ponderously through speculation. I have an idea. I think we should move this article to '''Homestar Runner and Strong Bad's telationship''', and there it would list moments in which Homestar and Strong Bad fight, moments in which they're mean to each other and moments in which they're nice to each other. Also Strong Bad mentions going out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant with Homestar two weeks ago (in condiments), as though they hang out occasionally in a social setting. Maybe they are getting along better since Date Night?

Am I the only one who considers it speculation to write that each of the quotes from Caleb Rentpayer follows one of those patterns? I'm wondering if "The" is actually a surname, while "Cheat" may be his given name. The surname followed by given name structure is common in many parts of the world, an example being the basketball player Yao Ming. "Yao" is the family name, and that is why it appears on the back of his jersey! The facts are that "The Cheat" is always captalized, no matter where it appears in a written sentence. Also, very rarely is he referred to as anything other than "The Cheat", even when the determiner "The" would be gramatically incorrect. He refers to himself as "The Cheat" in his character video, and most importantly, when Marzipan returns from her date with The Cheat in DATE NIGHT, Homestar asks her if her name is "The Marzipan" now.

:Interesting, but I think it's just that we always refer to him with the integral article (or whatever those things are called). Now, we know all about the first name surname dealie (see [[The Brothers Strong]]), but I doubt that "The" is a surname. Just a part of his name in general. Like, in Spanish, it's considered correct to write "El Señor Martinez" (The Mr. Martinez) when referring to someone in the thirs person, formally. It's possible that Homestar is just stupid, but "The" may be an honorific like Doc. or Mr. or Prof. However, in Flashback he is called "A" The Cheat, suggesting that all The Cheat are called this, so it may be a family surname, but who's family would have the same first name for everybody? Also, he's ALMOST never reffered to as just Cheat, so my theory of "the" being an honorific might be correct, since people are sometimes called by their last names.
