Lots of users here do varying degrees of gnome work and all that work is a positive contribution to the wiki. :Sure no problem. Thank you for posting this, I did not want a revert war either. Unfortunately, this may be a more techincal issue than we both might have anticipated. I think I notice the slight tonal difference between the background and the image. (Actually, I think this might be for me a visual artifact). Unfortunately, the RGB combination that you gave presented an even higher contrast between the image and background colors, which is why I reverted it. If you see your RGB combination as the correct color in both your monitors, perhaps we might be running into some obscure problems with our hardware? It is certainly strange. I have GIMP installed on my machine at home and will inspect the RGB values that it gives me and compare them with what we have. Actually Windows paint gave me Red: 248 Green:216 Blue:163. Which converted to hex would equate to: Red: F8, Green: D8, Blue: A3. Which would mean that numerically #F8D8A3 would be the correct color code. (#FFD196 would give it too much red, and not enough blue). I don't think E.L.Cool would've created the template with color differences, so it baffles me that both of your monitors would show a difference in the color combinations for that page. From what i see #F8D8A3 has to be the right color combination. I'm wondering, have you modified your monobook.css file? No two monitors display the same thing the same way (kinda like going to Best buy and looking at all the HDTV's and how different their image qualities are). But it's still strange that Lapper's school computers displayed different colors for pixels that were supposed to have the same RGB values. Among some of the things that we were taught: Japanese haiku's do not always strictly follow the 5-7-5 rule. Some of these even portray some picture with irony or surprise in it. School's back in for me and it's quickly beginning to kick my butt. Too much Greek music theory. My French class is going OK. ::Today was our seminar on Greek music theory. It's music theory from ancient Greece. Basically the oldest Western music theory we have. It went OK, all things considered. Now it's time to work on medieval theory. As for French: the difficulty is that I don't have any real experience in Spanish or Latin. Learning German has had the positive effect of giving me the experience of having learnt another language, but also the negative effect of strengthening all the wrong points for learning a Romance language. What do I mean by that? I mean that where English has similarities with German, they are usually differences with French. (Already I remember several times when my teacher said, "That's like in English" and I thought to myself "Hmm. It's different in German".) But that class is still going pretty well. I just have to learn a new set of habits (like sticking adjectives after nouns). So that's the fun I've been up to lately. Sounds like you've had a dose of it yourself. Now I've shifted it so the second suggestion is the one being voted on. Lower down you had entered a vote saying "I go for this option I'm voting for"; I've taken the liberty of keeping it intact; if you don't in fact like that idea please change it to a non-vote.
