Most of the other characters seem unaware that the Thnikkaman is Bubs; in [[cliffhangers]], [[Coach Z]] attempts to reveal the Thnikkaman's identity, only to be thwarted by his own bad hand-eye coordination (though he later accuses himself of being the Thnikkaman). This is odd, since he takes off his glasses in the [[Strong Bad Email|email]] [[monument]], clearly showing his true identity. In [[Happy Dethemberween]], [[Homestar Runner]] demonstrates that he, unlike the other characters, is aware of the Thnikkaman's identity. The other characters seem to have no response to Homestar's assertion that the Thnikkaman is just Bubs with a piece of paper taped to his chest. His powers (if any), background, and the reasons for the respect given to him are intentionally vague — even the various other characters seem in the dark about the details of the Thnikkaman's existence. Whenever he arrives someplace, an offscreen chorus sings "Here comes the Thnikkaman!", accompanied by those words dancing across the screen. Similarly, the chorus sings "There goes the Thnikkaman!" with the dancing words whenever he leaves. In [[Happy Dethemberween]], the singers are actually seen, and they all resemble Bubs. His famous catch phrase "Yeah, shut up, kid!" is usually given in response to the question "Can I/we have some?" (although what "some" refers to has not been revealed). In a [[monument]] Easter egg, the Thnikkaman takes off his cool shades, and also when Strong Bad and the Cheat ask if they can have some. In [[Fan Costumes '08]], Strong Bad mentions giving "a full Thnikka" to a trick-or-treater, implying that a Thnikka may be a candy bar parodying [[Wikipedia:Snickers | Snickers]].

The Thnikkaman has once called [[Marzipan]], where he [[Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 12.2#Message_5|asked her to join his "Thnikkaband"]]. The call begins with the chorus singing "You got a call from the Thnikkaman!" and ends with "Here hang-ups the Thnikkaman!", with the words dancing across the screen each time.

The Thnikkaman is also obliquely referenced in [[virus]], when Bubs walks across the screen with his mouth replaced by a "broken JPEG" reading "TH".

Oddly, The Thnikkaman does not have any [[Lack of Visible Body Parts#Ears|visible ears]] or a nose, so it is a mystery as to how the sunglasses are held up.

On [[Decemberween]], he becomes the "Dethemberween Thnikkaman," a holiday figure vaguely akin to [[Wikipedia:Santa Claus|Santa Claus]]. Instead of a sleigh pulled by reindeer, he travels through the night sky in an [[Baloney Sammich Truck|unmarked van]] (with the letters "tH" painted on the side). During the night, he borrows people's hedge clippers and then places blank media in their slippers. He also cold calls random kids, offering them discount travel packages over the phone.

'''Frank Bennedetto''' was once [[Marzipan]]'s [[popcorn]] machine, who joined the [[Homestarmy]] before or during January 2004. Frank, unfortunately, was the lone [[Death|casualty]] of [[The Battle of Strong Badia]] depicted in the Strong Bad Email [[army]]. At that time, he was believed to have died and left behind a debt of five bucks, payable to [[Homestar Runner]]. Homestar attempted to collect the aforementioned bucks from Frank's mother, [[Mrs. Bennedetto]] (a.k.a. Marzipan's microwave).

It has later been shown that Frank Bennedetto has not actually perished in combat. His status was upgraded to "POW" in the [[Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon]], as he was seen behind a fence as part of a collection of stolen goods.

He now seems to have been freed, and is once again a proud member of the Homestarmy, where he holds the rank of Third-[[Style]] Private. Some time after receiving this title, he joined Colonel Homestar Runner in an effort to ensure that "nobody or their brother does any type of work at all" on Labor Day.

His death has been used in several propaganda posters for the Homestarmy. The first was seen in [[HR:wallpapers/armywallpaper3.jpg|a desktop wallpaper]], where he is featured in a poster to the right of Homestar's. In this poster, several black figures are standing above his corpse, with the words "DON'T LET THEM!" written above in black. The second was on the [[2011 Calendar#January|January page of the 2011 calendar]], where he is seen silhouetted in black in front of Strong Badia, surrounded by the words "BENNEDETTO: Neva Forgive Action."

However, Bennedetto was later seen at the Homestarmy's booth at the Vaguely Military Career Fair in [[more armies]], where a sign described him as a "memorial statue". This may mean that his death at the Battle of Strong Badia was real, although it could also just be a commemoration of his service in the Homestarmy.

In all likelihood, Bennedetto is a [http://www.epinions.com/hmgd-review-E38-1DE3023B-3A4906CE-prod4 Presto 04820 PopLite Popcorn Maker].

Several more members of the Bennedetto family are seen on the draft board in [[Strong Badia the Free]]. Little Johnny (a toaster) and Ramon (a waffle maker) are said by Homestar to be brothers of Frank. Tom (a blender), Marty (a 4h pencil) and Hank "the Tank" (a refrigerator) are also present, relation unknown. Homestar Runner prevented Little Johnny from serving, stating that he did not want to see him die like his brother Frank, suggesting that Frank indeed died.

This phenomenon originated in [[little animal]], where the senders asked Strong Bad what he would do if a little animal came up to him. Strong Bad then proceeded to kick The Cheat. In [[caper]], Strong Bad makes light of his tendency to kick The Cheat, who doesn't seem to appreciate his joking. [[The Cheat]] and his trusty computer [[Tangerine Dreams]] have been spewing out Flash cartoons for quite a while now. The Cheat's toons, which are a parody of the many poorly drawn Flash cartoons on the web, are usually packed with bad animation, poor imitations of the character's voices (provided by [[Mike Chapman]]), and nonexistent plots.

The Cheat's talents have been used in music videos as well. As he is the only animator in [[Free Country, USA]], he has provided animation for songs by Strong Bad and Marzipan. He has also collaborated with the likes of [[The Skate Party]], [[They Might Be Giants]] and many more. He has incorporated himself into many of his cartoons, as well as making his own main menu, [[Main Page 15]], with special commentary by [[Strong Bad]].
