{In the basement, Strong Sad is watching TV.}

TV VOICE: And that's why come Shakespeare was so awesome.

STRONG SAD: Oh! I see now.

(Strong Bad enters.)

STRONG BAD: Hey, Dairy Queen.

STRONG SAD: I already told you, I don't want to be called that any more! I made a mistake!

STRONG BAD: Oh, sorry, Dairy Queen. Anyways, look. I just thought you should know that all your underwears somehow ended up individually priced and labelled in an online auction.

STRONG SAD: {gets up, runs out of the room} Nobody buy the blue ones!

STRONG BAD: That was too easy. Now to settle down for the 24-hour Caleb Rentpayer marathon! {turns on the TV}

TUCKSWORTH: Caleb, are you making a little tent out of my jacket?

CALEB: I am now.

STRONG BAD: Yeah, you make that little tent, Caleb! He's not the boss of you!

{Cut to the field. Homestar is running along.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {singing approximately to the tune of the Homestar Runner Theme Song} Homestaaaar is running. Along. Homestaaaar – {he suddenly stops and starts coughing profusely} Agh! I swallowed a bug! Bug swallow! Bug swallow! What do I do? What do I do? {composes himself} Okay, okay, calm down. Calm down. Remember health class.  A-hem. (goes down on one knee, speaks slowly and deliberately}  Sir or madam, are you all right? Do you need medical resistance? {anguished} Oh, it's not working! The good times are over! {runs off}

{Cut to another part of the field, where the King of Town and Pom Pom are eating chocolate ice cream bars.}

KING OF TOWN: I keep telling him the sun don't rise and set on that pile of whatsit, but he don't want to listen!

{Homestar runs in.}

POM POM: {greeting bubbling noises}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Pom Pom! Santa! I think I swallowed a bug! {kneels down in front of the King of Town} The good times are over! You gotta help me out! I could die!

KING OF TOWN: Well, what do you want we should do?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Give me them dang ice creams! {grabs the ice cream bars} We'll freeze 'im out! {scarfs them}

KING OF TOWN: Hey! That stuff's prescription!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {sobs} It deliciously didn't work! {pokes Pom Pom with the one of the leftover sticks and Pom Pom narrows his eyes at Homestar, annoyed} Agh! (runs off}

{Cut to the basement, where Strong Bad is still watching TV.}

CALEB: You throw like a girl, Tucksworth.

TUCKSWORTH: Caleb, that suitcase was heavy.

{Strong Sad enters.}

STRONG SAD: What online auction? I can't find anything. I even did an image search for "the blue ones" and got nothing. Or… nothing pleasant, anyway.

STRONG BAD: Well, keep searching. Try putting stuff in quotes or something. Or use "and" and "or". Oh yeah, and go away.

STRONG SAD: Oh, Boolean operators! "Blue and ones"! Good idea! {walks off}

{Cut to Bubs' concession stand. Bubs is burning an envelope labelled "EXHIBIT A" with a candle.}

BUBS: This is just fine!

{Homestar runs in and Bubs drops the candle and throws away the envelope.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Bubs, you're a doctor, right? I think a bug flew into the side of my mouth. I'm afraid the good times are over!

BUBS: A doctor, eh? I think I might be one of those. Let me take a look. {examines a wad of business cards} Whadda we got here? Bail bondsman, paranormal investigator, normal investigator… Oh, here we go! "Dr." Bubs! Let's take a look atcha.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Aaaaah. {opens mouth}

BUBS: Hmm… {peers inside; Homestar makes a noise} Okay… {Homestar makes a noise} Curious, yes. {Homestar makes a noise}  Interesting. {Homestar makes a noise} I've got terrible, terrible news, Homestar.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh no! Is it about the good times?

BUBS: I'm afraid you've got no pancreas. {Homestar looks annoyed} But I do happen to have a fresh one for sale right here! {picks up a cooler labelled "EXHIBIT B" and places it on the counter}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Bubs, are you an unethical quack?

BUBS: The most quackinest!

{Cut to the basement, where Strong Bad is watching TV with a fork in his hand and a frying pan in his lap.}

STRONG BAD: {imitating Tucksworth} Strong Caleb, did you make the best omelette ever during the commercial break? {imitating Caleb} I sure did.

{Homestar runs in.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad! I think I –

STRONG BAD: (silencing him} A-na-ma! Not today, McDorkell.

{Homestar leaves then jumps in from the other side.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad! I think a bug might have –

STRONG BAD: Can't you see Grandma's watching her stories?

{Homestar leaves.}

TUCKSWORTH: Why aren't you breathing, Caleb?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {pops up from behind the couch} Strong Bad – {Strong Bad hits him with his skillet} Ugh. {falls down}

ANNOUNCER: And coming up next on Caleb Rentpayer, find out whom shot Caleb.

STRONG BAD: "Who shot Caleb?" Oh, there's no way I'm missing that one. No way.

{Some time later, Homestar emerges from behind the couch.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {yawns} That was a great skillet nap! Thanks, Strong Bad. Strong Bad?

{Strong Bad is duct-taped to the TV.}

STRONG BAD: Can't… miss… any of the action!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad, the good times are over! I swallowed your computer!

STRONG BAD: You've what? {tears his head from the TV}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh, I mean a small bug. I swallowed a small bug.

STRONG BAD: Aw. Now my head's not taped to the TV.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad, I really need your help!

STRONG BAD: And I really need to find out who shot Caleb Rentpayer!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh, that's easy. I did.

STRONG BAD: You-ka – wha?

TUCKSWORTH: Homestar Runner, did you shoot Caleb?

{Homestar appears on the TV, wearing the sunglasses he wears in the bet.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I sure did.

STRONG BAD: You traitor! You shot my favorite TV show! (throws the remote at Homestar's face}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hiccup. (the bug flies out of his mouth} Hey, look at that! A little guy. A bug did fly in my mouth!

STRONG BAD: Ugh… the good times are definitely over.

{Strong Sad runs in, wearing a blue pair of underwear. Strong Bad opens his mouth in surprise.}

STRONG SAD: The world is saved! I found the blue ooooones!

{end.} (after a while, the bug flies over the screen)
*A Boolean operator is a logical conjunction describing the relationship between two assertions ('and' and 'or' being primary examples).
*A "quack" is a person who acts like a normal physician, but really isn't, and dispenses strange or false medical advice and treatment.

Trivia
*Bubs' cards read:

Remarks
*Bubs' e-mail address here is bubs@bubs.bubs, but it was bubs@homestarrunner.com in unused emails.
*This is the first cartoon in years that has no easter eggs at all.

Goofs
*When Strong Sad turns around in front of the couch after talking about Boolean Operators, his leg appears behind the remote laying on the couch.
*When Strong Bad is duct taped to the TV, there are five pieces of tape. After he turns around, there are only four.
Inside References
*Bubs' Doctor card says VCR repair on it, which is a reference to the email 12:00.
*When we see Homestar running over the hill, it is similar to Old Intro 2.
*Bubs calls himself "the most quackinest". This is in reference to Pom Pom's character video, the page title of which is "The Most Mackinest".
*Caleb Rentpayer first appeared in secret recipes. This is the first time the show and Tucksworth have been named.
*Homestar's yelling "Bug Swallow! BUG SWALLOW!" is a reference to the end of rock opera in which, assaulted by roses thrown by The Cheat, Strong Bad yells "Rose face! ROSE FACE!"
<!-- Yes, Homestar IS singing his theme song, but it's already mentioned in the transcript, so please do not add it here. -->
*The "EEEEEMAIL" on Bubs' Paranormal Investigator card is a reference to the way Homestar says "e-mail" on the main page.

Real-World References
*The title of the toon is based on the name of the Foot and mouth disease, which is common among cattle.
*The page title (Don't...kill...bugs.) may possibly be a reference to Bob & Doug McKenzie's "Great White North" album. Specifically, it refers to the "Elron McKenzie" track, where Doug plays a preacher whose sermon deals with the importance of not killing bugs. A Bob & Doug line also appears in Revenge of the King.
*The "Who shot Caleb?" episode is an often parodied reference to the shooting of J. R. Ewing on Dallas.
*When Strong Sad says, "I even did an image search..." he is probably referring to the Google Image Search, a search engine that lets you search for pictures instead of web pages.
*Considering the connection between The Brothers Chaps and They Might Be Giants, Strong Bad's line "He's not the boss of you!" could well be referencing the song "Boss of Me" by TMBG.

Revenge of the King is a game where you play as Strong Bad trying to defend your castle from The King of Town's cannons by catapulting food at him. You earn 10 points for every hit, while the KOT earns 25. This game is found on the King Of Town Main Page by following the Easter egg in the The King Of Town DVD.

Page Title: Revenge of the King! - winner gets cupcakes

Transcripts
Instructions
The King of Town has gone nuts and started cannoning everything in sight. Help Strong Bad launch food down his throat to keep him busy. You gotta beat his score!! WINNER GETS CUPCAKES<br>
Hit the King +10 pts for you<br>
King Hits You +25 pts for him<br>
play it already!!

You win
STRONG BAD: In your face, KINGY!

{Strong Bad is in the foreground chowing down on cupcakes. The King of Town is being lowered by a rope into a pot of hot butter.}

THE KING OF TOWN: The punishment is not too bad, eh?

You lose
THE KING OF TOWN: I rule the school!

{The King of Town is in the foreground chowing down on cupcakes. Strong Bad is being lowered by a rope into a pile of whatsit as the Poopsmith watches.}

STRONG BAD: Uh-oh. This is about to get a whole lot more unfortunate.

You tie
A message in Olde English text on the screen says, "You guys tied!" No extra animation is played.

Fun Facts
* "The punishment is not too bad, eh?" is a direct quote from the Beerhunter game segment on the Bob & Doug McKenzie "Great White North" album in which the "punishment" for opening the non-shaken beer is to drink it.

*This game is based on the classic Midway arcade game Rampart, in which players had to build castle walls and place cannon, and then fire on the other player's castle to knock it down.

*A good way to insure victory is to fire them in quick succession top to bottom, and at the bottom going back to the by-then charged top catapult.
Glitches
*If you get a higher score a split second before the other hits you and the timer runs out, you win anyway, like 120-125.
*A good way to see the "You Win" screen is if you right-click and hit "Play" while the KoT is saying "I rule the school!"

STRONG BAD: That was too easy. Now to settle down for the 24-hour Caleb Rentpayer marathon! {turns on the TV}

TUCKSWORTH: Caleb, are you making a little tent out of my jacket?

CALEB: I am now.

STRONG BAD: Yeah, you make that little tent, Caleb! He's not the boss of you!

{Cut to the field. Homestar is running along.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {singing approximately to the tune of the Homestar Runner Theme Song} Homestaaaar is running. Along. Homestaaaar – {he suddenly stops and starts coughing profusely} Agh! I swallowed a bug! Bug swallow! Bug swallow! What do I do? What do I do? {composes himself} Okay, okay, calm down. Calm down. Remember health class.  A-hem. (goes down on one knee, speaks slowly and deliberately}  Sir or madam, are you all right? Do you need medical resistance? {anguished} Oh, it's not working! The good times are over! {runs off}

{Cut to another part of the field, where the King of Town and Pom Pom are eating chocolate ice cream bars.}

KING OF TOWN: I keep telling him the sun don't rise and set on that pile of whatsit, but he don't want to listen!

{Homestar runs in.}

POM POM: {greeting bubbling noises}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Pom Pom! Santa! I think I swallowed a bug! {kneels down in front of the King of Town} The good times are over! You gotta help me out! I could die!

KING OF TOWN: Well, what do you want we should do?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Give me them dang ice creams! {grabs the ice cream bars} We'll freeze 'im out! {scarfs them}

KING OF TOWN: Hey! That stuff's prescription!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {sobs} It deliciously didn't work! {pokes Pom Pom with the one of the leftover sticks and Pom Pom narrows his eyes at Homestar, annoyed} Agh! (runs off}

{Cut to the basement, where Strong Bad is still watching TV.}

CALEB: You throw like a girl, Tucksworth.

TUCKSWORTH: Caleb, that suitcase was heavy.

{Strong Sad enters.}

STRONG SAD: Oh, Boolean operators! "Blue and ones"! Good idea! {walks off}

{Cut to Bubs' concession stand. Bubs is burning an envelope labelled "EXHIBIT A" with a candle.}

BUBS: This is just fine!

{Homestar runs in and Bubs drops the candle and throws away the envelope.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Aaaaah. {opens mouth}

BUBS: I'm afraid you've got no pancreas. {Homestar looks annoyed} But I do happen to have a fresh one for sale right here! {picks up a cooler labelled "EXHIBIT B" and places it on the counter}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Bubs, are you an unethical quack?

BUBS: The most quackinest!

{Cut to the basement, where Strong Bad is watching TV with a fork in his hand and a frying pan in his lap.}

STRONG BAD: {imitating Tucksworth} Strong Caleb, did you make the best omelette ever during the commercial break? {imitating Caleb} I sure did.

{Homestar runs in.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad! I think I –

STRONG BAD: (silencing him} A-na-ma! Not today, McDorkell.

{Homestar leaves then jumps in from the other side.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad! I think a bug might have –

STRONG BAD: Can't you see Grandma's watching her stories?

{Homestar leaves.}

TUCKSWORTH: Why aren't you breathing, Caleb?

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {pops up from behind the couch} Strong Bad – {Strong Bad hits him with his skillet} Ugh. {falls down}

ANNOUNCER: And coming up next on Caleb Rentpayer, find out whom shot Caleb.

STRONG BAD: "Who shot Caleb?" Oh, there's no way I'm missing that one. No way.

{Some time later, Homestar emerges from behind the couch.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {yawns} That was a great skillet nap! Thanks, Strong Bad. Strong Bad?

{Strong Bad is duct-taped to the TV.}

STRONG BAD: Can't… miss… any of the action!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad, the good times are over! I swallowed your computer!

STRONG BAD: You've what? {tears his head from the TV}

{Homestar appears on the TV, wearing the sunglasses he wears in the bet.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I sure did.

STRONG BAD: You traitor! You shot my favorite TV show! (throws the remote at Homestar's face}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hiccup. (the bug flies out of his mouth} Hey, look at that! A little guy. A bug did fly in my mouth!

STRONG BAD: Ugh… the good times are definitely over.

{Strong Sad runs in, wearing a blue pair of underwear. Strong Bad opens his mouth in surprise.}

STRONG SAD: The world is saved! I found the blue ooooones!

{end.} (after a while, the bug flies over the screen)

Fun Facts
Explanations
*A Boolean operator is a logical conjunction describing the relationship between two assertions ('and' and 'or' being primary examples).
*A "quack" is a person who acts like a normal physician, but really isn't, and dispenses strange or false medical advice and treatment.

Trivia
*Bubs' cards read:
Bubs
Bail Bondsman,
Extraordinaire

pager: 555-7896

VCR Repair/Fashion Consultant

*The page title (Don't...kill...bugs.) may possibly be a reference to Bob & Doug McKenzie's Great White North album.

STRONG BAD: You got to e-mail, just to stay alive! {types "strongbad_email.exe", begins reading}

<pre>Dear Strong Bad,
How you doin'? I have three quick questions...
1. What's the best thing you've ever seen?
2. What's the best thing you've ever done?
3. What's the best thing you've ever eaten?

Later,
Albin J. (from Maryland)</pre>

{Strong Bad doesn't read the numbers, and after saying "seen", he immediately follows with "done, eaten." He also whispers "from, from Maryland." Then he clears the screen.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} I'm doing real real {types "rrll rrll"} well Albi. Believe it or not, I've got one answer for all three questions. And that answer is...

{Cut to an image of a video tape labelled "Limozeen cartoon" and "Don't record over for dang's sake!!!"}

SINGERS: VHS!

STRONG BAD: The only known copy of the failed pilot episode of the Limozeen Saturday morning cartoon shoooooooow!

{cut back to the Lappy}

STRONG BAD: {typing} It only aired once at, like, 4 a.m. some forgotten Saturday. And guess who was already up and eating brown sugar straight from the box? That's right, Strong Sad. But then I got up and started watching TV. If not for my The Cheat-like VHS reflexes, it would have been as lost as four-armed Grimace. {clears screen} I'll let you guys see it, but please, no flash photography or video taping. It could damage the precious oils and heavy metals of this priceless piece of television history.

{cut to the cartoon. It opens with "Metalmation" appearing in large block letters, followed by "presents" in cursive}

SINGER: <br>
Remember those guys from that band Limozeen?<br>
Well, they turned their tour bus into a space machine!<br>
But they're still Limozeen!

LARRY:<br>
We're still Limozeen!

SINGER:<br>
But they're in space!

LARRY:<br>
But we're in space?!

{now the title screen is shown: LIMOZEEN "but they're in space!" The Limozeen members appear in animated form below. Teeg walks in from stage right.}

TEEG DOUGLAND: I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys. You're in space!

{one final chord of the theme song plays}

{cut to the Couch. Strong Bad is sitting on it, while Strong Sad is leaning on it from behind.}

STRONG BAD: Oh-ho-ho! So classic!

STRONG SAD: But why are they in space? There's no reason for them to be in space!

STRONG BAD: On the contrary, my dear Fatson! There's every reason for them to be in space.

{title card for "ENCOUNTER AT GROUPULON 5" by A. Chimendez appears. From there, it cuts to the Limozeen members running away from a pair of flesh-colored hands, a pair of blue hands, and two magenta tentacles}

STRONG BAD: {narrating} So, one of their main goals is to both run away from and give backstage passes to all the hot babe-liens of the galaxy.

{the Limozeen members run into their tour spaceship}

TEEG DOUGLAND: I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys. None of the hot alien chicks from Groupulon 5 have backstage passes to tonight's show.

LARRY: Then whose midriffs are we gonna sign?

GARY: What happened to all the passes, Teeg?

TEEG DOUGLAND: Galactic Radio gave them all away. To Mitch Overlord.

{The members of Limozeen gasp, as we cut to Mitch Overlord's lair}

MITCH OVERLORD: That's right, Limozeen! I was the one million, six hundred and eighty-five thousand, four hundred and twenty-first caller! {raises his claw-like right hand and opens and shuts it twice}

{The members of Limozeen are shown running again, this time from nothing that can be seen.}

STRONG BAD: {narrating} And sometimes the magical prankster Bozar appears and turns reality upside-down.

BOZAR: Muddle me twice, Limo-losers! How are you going to play tonight's show after I turn your instruments into Italian noodles?

{The band is greeted with "boooos" as they attempt to play a concert with their noodle-instruments anyway. The word NOODLES! appears in lights behind the stage. Mary eats his noodles instead.}

MARY: This is the best show ever, guys!

{canned laughter is heard}

LARRY: Mary, quit eatin' your drums!

{Cut to the outside of the tour spaceship flying through space. Nebulon flies past.}

STRONG BAD: {narrating} But most of all, the episode centers around the boys making sure metal stays number one throughout the galaxy.

{Cut to spaceship interior}

TEEG DOUGLAND: I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys. We've been knocked off the charts in the Forbidden Zone by an alternative rock band.

PERRY: But their bassist is a girl!

MARY: And the drummer's got short hair!

LARRY: And the lead singer wears glasses!

{Cut back to the couch. Strong Bad throws the remote at Strong Sad.}

STRONG SAD: Ow! What was that for?

STRONG BAD: For you and your kind destroying metal! Chuck Taylor-wearing, low self-esteemers...

{Cut back to the cartoon. The band is practicing as Teeg walks up to them.}

TEEG DOUGLAND: I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys. Our pilot episode has been cancelled.

LARRY, GARY, PERRY, and MARY: What?

GARY: Oh well. I guess I won't be needing this anymore. {throws his guitar offscreen}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Whattaya think, Albi? If that's not the best thing you've ever seen, done, or eaten, then may I politely ask you to gouge out your eyes, cut out your tongue, and um, have all your done {short pause} removed.
*:{Mary burps very loudly}

Fun Facts
Explanations
*The fact that Limozeen's cartoon takes place in space for no good reason is likely a reference to several other cartoons which also took place in space for no reason, like <i>the Partridge Family, 2200 A.D.</i>, <i>Gilligan's Planet</i>, and <i>Josie & the Pussycats In Outer Space</i>, all of which had extremely short runs (usually only one season).
**The Limozeen cartoon is also likely a riff on Hanna Barbara cartoons that featured bands who solved crimes or fought villians. In addition to Josie there was Jabberjaw and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids. Teeg Dougland's repeated mantra of "I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys" is a riff on band managers in such cartoons, who were often only featured as characters for plot exposition.

Trivia
*Teeg Dougland was voiced by Mike Chapman who looks almost identical to Teeg.

*The email song could be a parody of the movie "Saw"'s logo 'How much blood would you shed to stay alive'

*Usually, a Strong Bad E-mail has the filename of sbemail###.swf. This one is sbemail126_mx.swf.
**This is most likely because it was probably made in Flash MX instead of Flash 5 which is apparently normally used by them (according to the NYU talk)

Remarks
*This email gives a good answer to Strong Bad's own question in different town when he tries to think up the Best Thing Ever, which turned out to be beef stew.
*Strong Bad's tape lacks the little tab you knock out to prevent people taping over it, a chief concern with the cartoon tape.

Goofs
*Just before Strong Bad sits down at the Lappy, you see almost his entire head, but you can't see the laces on the back of his mask; usually when they show that much of his head (e.g. in crazy cartoon) you see those laces.
*When the space-mobile is flying at supposed hyper-speed, the stars flying by in the background are streaking the wrong way.
*When we see the TV and VCR in Strong Bad's basement, the VCR shows no sign of a tape being inside it nor of any playback. (VCRs typically have some type of counter or a "play" graphic on their display.)

Inside References
*The green alien which floats by in one scene is Nebulon, as seen in New Boots and Main Page 1.
*The teleplay for Limozeen's cartoon is written by A. Chimendez.
*Teeg Dougland is the name of the director of the Moving Very Slowly video on the strongbad_email.exe DVD. He is identified as the manager of the band at the NYU talk during the showing of a Limozeen coloring book 'game'.
*The VCR is still blinking from 12:00 and someone removed the alarm clock that Bubs duct-taped to it.
*When Space Gary throws his guitar and says "I guess I won't be needing THIS anymore," it is a reference to invisibility. Strong Bad says the same thing when he gets rid of the broken Tandy 400 and replaces it with the Compy 386.
*The guitar that Space Gary tosses is the same one seen in Puppet Time.
**It looks like a KE3 Kelly model guitar by Jackson

Real-World References
*"Metalmation" is a reference to the Filmation animation studio, with the logos looking very similar. Filmation was famous for churning out cookie-cutter cartoons many of which also took place in space for no good reason.
*The repeated "band being chased" segments may be a reference to a Hanna-Barbera 70's staple of stock-footage chase scenes, which appeared most prominently in Scooby-Doo. Also, this may refer to the Beatles, who spent a good deal of "A Hard Day's Night" -- supposedly a typical day in the life of the band--running away from adoring female fans.
*"Four-armed Grimace" is a reference to the purple McDonaldland character. Grimace was originally named "The Evil Grimace", and he had four arms -- so that he could hold many shakes at once.
*"On the contrary, my dear Fatson" is an adaptation of "Elementary, my dear Watson", a way Sherlock Holmes often addressed his assistant.
*The space logo of Limozeen is very similar to the logo of the Nintendo game series Metroid. This isn't the first Metroid reference on the site -- in fact, a Metroid code appeared in an Easter Egg in the Strong Bad Email invisibility.
*The laugh track used in one scene is a typical element of older Hanna-Barbera cartoons featuring more realistic characters, intended to incite laughter in the same manner as a sitcom. It may sound dry and out of place to modern viewers.
*"Encounter at Groupulon 5" is a combined reference to Encounter at Farpoint (the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation) and the popular science-fiction show Babylon 5.
* Mary asking "How come they made me fat and have red hair?" draws attention to the manipulation of characters in cartoon adaptations to clearly defined sterotypical roles. In particular, Mary's question references the cartoon <i>The Real Ghostbusters</i>, where the Dan Aykroyd character (from the <i>Ghostbusters</i> film) was modified into an overweight redhead. This was done because the real-life actors had contract clauses that prevented likenesses of them being used.
**It may also have been done so that the animated counterparts of Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis (all dark haired and of similar build in the film) could be easily told apart by kids.
**In the animated feature Scooby-Doo meets the Harlem Globetrotters, one player is shown as a fat comic relief in much the same way.
* The phrase "Chuck Taylor wearin'..." refers to Converse High Top Basketball Shoes, designed by Chuck Taylor. "Chucks" are a signature look of Grunge, Punk, and Metal that happened after 1990.
**This is also a reference to that particular brand of shoe being popular among fans of "Alternative Rock" (or indie, or emo, etc.) that Strong Bad is so angry about. We know that Strong Sad has a fondness for these bands from his Blog.
*Bozar's huge cranium, love of bizarre magical pranks, and insulting manner of addressing the heroes of the show bears a strong resemblance to the antics of Mr. Mxyzptlk, a derby-wearing, fifth-dimensional imp and Superman antagonist who periodically appeared in Metropolis to pester the Last Son of Krypton with his reality-altering powers.
**This also bears a resemblance to the Great Gazoo from The Flintstones.
**He also resembles a megalomaniacal antagonist from the 90's show Mighty Max called Dr. Zygote, who had an oversized brain/head, alien-like features, and would construct elaborate schemes to rule/destroy humanity.
**He appears to be saying 'Muddle me twice' at the begining of his line, which is similar to Batman villain The Riddler's (in his various incarnations) catchphrase of 'riddle me this'.
*The scene at the end, where the cartoon throws the guitar to the real-life band member, pokes fun at almost every 80's cartoon that had a (semi) famous person behind it -- where the cartoon would transition/interact with the real person from off screen: Fat Albert, Alf, M.C. Hammer, Mr. T, the Harlem Globetrotters, and many others all closed the episode with the real-world people.
*"rrll rrll" is a common short-hand notation for a double-stroke roll, which is a percussion rudiment executed by playing two strokes on a single hand followed by two in the alternate hand and repeating.
*The entire tape of the Limozeen cartoon includes a "VHS grain" effect, most visible during the black METALMATION intro (note how the background appears to be randomly speckled). This artifact of VHS recording results from multiple generation copies, repeated erasing/recording, and from recording in extended tape speeds. This is a different technique for VHS "authenticity" than the kind used in the Character Videos, however.
*Bozar's calling Limozeen "Limo Losers" is most likely poking fun at most 80s villans who insult the heroes with similar nicknames (I.E. "Mega Moron" from the Mega man cartoons).
*The idea of a band having a cancelled pilot cartoon may have been inspired by a pilot cartoon made starring funk bassist Bootsy Collins that never aired. See portions of it here.

STRONG BAD: You got to e-mail, just to stay alive! {types "strongbad_email.exe", begins reading}

<pre>Dear Strong Bad,
How you doin'? I have three quick questions...
1. What's the best thing you've ever seen?
2. What's the best thing you've ever done?
3. What's the best thing you've ever eaten?

Later,
Albin J. (from Maryland)</pre>

{Strong Bad doesn't read the numbers, and after saying "seen", he immediately follows with "done, eaten." He also whispers "from, from Maryland." Then he clears the screen.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} I'm doing real real {types "rrll rrll"} well Albi. Believe it or not, I've got one answer for all three questions. And that answer is...

{Cut to an image of a video tape labelled "Limozeen cartoon" and "Don't record over for dang's sake!!!"}

SINGERS: VHS!

STRONG BAD: The only known copy of the failed pilot episode of the Limozeen Saturday morning cartoon shoooooooow!

{cut back to the Lappy}

{cut to the cartoon. It opens with "Metalmation" appearing in large block letters, followed by "presents" in cursive}

SINGER: <br>
Remember those guys from that band Limozeen?<br>
Well, they turned their tour bus into a space machine!<br>
But they're still Limozeen!

LARRY:<br>
We're still Limozeen!

SINGER:<br>
But they're in space!

LARRY:<br>
But we're in space?!

{now the title screen is shown: LIMOZEEN "but they're in space!" The Limozeen members appear in animated form below. Teeg walks in from stage right.}

TEEG DOUGLAND: I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys. You're in space!

{one final chord of the theme song plays}

{cut to the Couch. Strong Bad is sitting on it, while Strong Sad is leaning on it from behind.}

STRONG BAD: Oh-ho-ho! So classic!

STRONG SAD: But why are they in space? There's no reason for them to be in space!

STRONG BAD: On the contrary, my dear Fatson! There's every reason for them to be in space.

{title card for "ENCOUNTER AT GROUPULON 5" by A. Chimendez appears. From there, it cuts to the Limozeen members running away from a pair of flesh-colored hands, a pair of blue hands, and two magenta tentacles}

STRONG BAD: {narrating} So, one of their main goals is to both run away from and give backstage passes to all the hot babe-liens of the galaxy.

{the Limozeen members run into their tour spaceship}

{The members of Limozeen gasp, as we cut to Mitch Overlord's lair}

MITCH OVERLORD: That's right, Limozeen! I was the one million, six hundred and eighty-five thousand, four hundred and twenty-first caller! {raises his claw-like right hand and opens and shuts it twice}

{The members of Limozeen are shown running again, this time from nothing that can be seen.}

STRONG BAD: {narrating} And sometimes the magical prankster Bozar appears and turns reality upside-down.

BOZAR: Muddle me twice, Limo-losers! How are you going to play tonight's show after I turn your instruments into Italian noodles?

{The band is greeted with "boooos" as they attempt to play a concert with their noodle-instruments anyway. The word NOODLES! appears in lights behind the stage. Mary eats his noodles instead.}

MARY: This is the best show ever, guys!

{canned laughter is heard}

LARRY: Mary, quit eatin' your drums!

{Cut to the outside of the tour spaceship flying through space. Nebulon flies past.}

STRONG BAD: {narrating} But most of all, the episode centers around the boys making sure metal stays number one throughout the galaxy.

{Cut to spaceship interior}

{Cut back to the couch. Strong Bad throws the remote at Strong Sad.}

STRONG SAD: Ow! What was that for?

STRONG BAD: For you and your kind destroying metal! Chuck Taylor-wearing, low self-esteemers...

{Cut back to the cartoon. The band is practicing as Teeg walks up to them.}

TEEG DOUGLAND: I'm afraid I've got some bad news, boys. Our pilot episode has been cancelled.

LARRY, GARY, PERRY, and MARY: What?

GARY: Oh well. I guess I won't be needing this anymore. {throws his guitar offscreen}

{Cut to the real Larry on Strong Bad's television, who catches the real equivalent of the guitar.}

LARRY: Oh, thanks, Space Gary! I can't believe we got cancelled! Weeeeeell, join us next time, kids! In syndication! Or maybe on DVD! {plays a short tune as the TV fades out. Strong Bad returns to the Lappy.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Whattaya think, Albi? If that's not the best thing you've ever seen, done, or eaten, then may I politely ask you to gouge out your eyes, cut out your tongue, and um, have all your done {short pause} removed.

The technique was also used in the Character Videos. This artifact of VHS recording results from multiple generation copies, repeated erasing/recording, and from recording in extended tape speeds.
StrongBadEmail #104

Strong Bad fields an email about his theme park, called Strong Bad's Mount RidesPlace USA!

Cast (in order of appearance): Strong Bad, Cheerleader (Easter Egg), The Ugly One (Easter Egg), Monkey D (Easter Egg), The King of Town, The Cheat, Strong Sad, Strong Mad, Bubs, Pom Pom, Coach Z (as Stoppy the Sign), Homestar Runner (as himself and Poppy the Tire), Homsar (as General Tso's Chicken)

Date: May 25, 2004

Transcript
STRONG BAD: {singing} Everybody love this, everybody needs this, it's time for funny stuff. {reading, in a Teen Girl Squad voice} Dear strong bad, you are the coolest... {stops reading, clears throat} Oh! Excuse me.

{reading}

<pre>Dear strong bad,
you are the coolest, any way onto
buisness. i think that you should
make your own theme park.

crapfully crap,
Rafael FL.</pre>

{Strong Bad pronounces "buisness" just as it's spelled, says "(sigh) Sincerely yours" instead of "crapfully crap," and "football league" instead of "FL"}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Well, Rafi, being the distinguished buisnessman {continues with the misspelling/pronunciation used earlier} that I am, I've had a theme park in development for quite some time now. Almost as long as I've been growin' this mustache.

{A 10,000x magnification of Strong Bad's upper lip appears, showing a growth of one hair.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Anyways, it'd be called

{cut to view of a theme park by the Stop Sign and Cinder Block}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Strong Bad's Mount RIDESPLACE! USA

{As this is said, the appropriate words flash on the screen above the view of the theme park.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} And it will have more rides than you or your grandmother can handle.

{As this is said, the words "More Rides Than You Or Your Grandmother Can Handle!*" appear along with a "*please do not bring your grandmother" disclaimer on the bottom.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Of course, our flagship rollercoaster would be

{cut to view of the rollercoaster, which is perfectly circular and spins continually without stopping}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} The Bowels of Trogdor!!  {pan out to see that The King of Town is riding the rollercoaster and screaming} Which would like whip you around and around until you either throw up or catch fire somehow.  {The King of Town catches fire somehow}

{Cut to Strong Bad and The Cheat and the entrance to the ride.  A Trogdor sign is there that says "Peasants must be as tall as my beefy arm to ride this ride."  The Cheat is clearly not tall enough.}

STRONG BAD: Sorry little guy, I can't do nothing for you. {The Cheat puts on a top hat} Maybe you better head over to Sweet Cuppin' Cakes Land instead.

THE CHEAT: {Makes a thoroughly disappointed noise}

{cut to Strong Sad standing on a stage}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} And every hour, at the main stage, there'd be a performance of The Strong Sad Gets Decked Repeatedly Stunt Spook-tacular.

{A banner lowers behind Strong Sad that says "The Strong Sad Gets Decked Repeatedly Stunt SPOOK-tacular!!"  Strong Sad is wearing a witch's hat.  Strong Mad comes from stage right to flying tackle Strong sad.}

STRONG MAD: MAUHHH!

STRONG SAD: Oh!

{Strong Sad climbs back up on the stage.  Strong Mad comes from stage left this time to flying tackle Strong Sad again.}

STRONG MAD: MAUHHH!

STRONG SAD: Oh!

{cut to Strong Bad behind a table with a layout of the theme park on it}

STRONG BAD: To make sure you don't have any money left when you leave, {the words "not to scale" appear with an arrow pointing at the layout} there'd be more games than you or your grandFATHER could handle.

{cut to Bubs working the "Throw Game"}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} You know, the ones where you throw hoops or rings or baseballs at different stuff and try to win cheap generic stuffed animal versions of ten-year-old cartoons.

{During this voice over, Pom Pom plays the "Throw Game" while Bubs looks on. Pom Pom successfully gets all three rings that he tosses around the "xtra cold one" bottle. Strong Bad's arm appears, holding up a cheap stuffed animal}

STRONG BAD: Like this Bubs with a horn.

BUBS: No, no, no. You gotta get those rings inside the bottle.

POM POM: {makes bubble noises}

{Pom Pom picks up a baseball and throws it at the bottle in frustration. Cut back to Strong Bad behind the layout of the park}

STRONG BAD: No theme park would be complete without a bunch of costumed mascots running around antic-ing... {scratches head} antique-ing... whatever.

{Cut to view of an area behind some fencing.  The King of Town still rides "The Bowels of Trogdor!!" in the distance.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} You know, there'd be one of the Stop Sign,

{Coach Z appears wearing a costume that has a cartoonish looking Stop Sign design}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} call him "Stoppy, Stoppy the sign" and then there'd be the tire...

{Homestar appears wearing a costume that has a very cartoonish looking Tire design}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} call him "Poppy the tire"... And who could forget "General Tso's Chicken"

{A carton of what could only be General Tso's Chicken falls from the sky.  It has "Ryan S." written on the side.  Homsar's feet appear beneath it.}

HOMESTAR: Hey, Stoppy, is your suit chafing you like crazy?

COACH Z: Well, to tell ya da truth dere Poppy, I've always enjoyed a good chafe.

HOMSAR: AaAaAaAaA! It's time for tasteball.

HOMESTAR: Oh crap! It's tasteball already?

{cut to Strong Bad back at the compy}

STRONG BAD: {typing} But yeah, it's a pretty unrealistic vision. I'm gonna have to start robbing WAY more hot actresses if I ever hope to make that dream a reality. But for now, I'll settle for giving tours on The Strong Badian Riverquest Safariventure.

{He gets up.  Cut to Strong Bad standing in a box in Strongbadia.  He holds some sort of microphone.}

STRONG BAD: {Strong Bad makes a microphone click noise and speaks in a theme-park tour-guide-styled monotone voice} Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen my name is Strong Bad and welcome to The Strong Badian Riverquest Safariventure. {Strong Bad makes a click noise again}

{Cut to wide view of Strong Bad standing in a box labeled "riverquest safariventure".  Homestar sits in front of him in the box.  To the left is a running hose.  The water from the hose forms a puddle around the box.}

STRONG BAD: {click} Please keep your arms legs and valuables inside the vehicle at all times and get ready to experience the fury of The Strong Badian Riverboat Superfun... ride. {click}

{The Paper comes down. About 5 seconds later, the zooms in on Strong Bad and Homestar and the tour continues}

STRONG BAD: {click} And first up on our tour if you look to your right {Homestar looks to his right} experience the fury of {cut to wider view} a big rock that is going to fall on uuuus. {An obviously fake rock pops up behind the fence, mounted on a stick.}

HOMESTAR: Ooooh. {The rock goes back down behind the fence.}

STRONG BAD: That was a close call, I hope everyone is okaaaay.

HOMESTAR: I'm not ok--

STRONG BAD: Shut up. {click}

{cut to closeup of Strong Bad}

STRONG BAD: {click} And if you look up the river here comes another one of our tour guides his name is The Cheat {Cut to wide view again. The Cheat walks by in his own box, which is labeled "R.Q. 2".} everybody say "Hi, The Cheeeeat."

HOMESTAR: Hide and seek.

{Some drum sounds can be heard}

STRONG BAD: {click} Oh what's that I hear is it the sound of island drums?  Oh no it's headhunteeerrrs.  {The cardboard cutout of a bear holding a shark, posing as a "headhunter," pops up from behind the fence.}  {click} Everyone stay in the boat, I'll take care of thiiis. {click}

{Strong Bad pulls out a revolver, and turns his head away as he fires up into the air twice. The cutout goes back down behind the fence.}

STRONG BAD: {click} Looks like we scared those headhunters.  Let's hope they don't come baaack. {click}

{cut to closeup of Strong Bad again}

STRONG BAD: {click} Well folks we've made it back safely did everyone have a good time?

HOMESTAR: Not really.

{Strong Bad continues to talk while Homestar answers.}

STRONG BAD: Goooood.  Please leave your valuables under your seat and exit to your riiiight. {click}

{cut to wide view again}

HOMESTAR: Strong Bad, I gotta level with ya. That might have been the worst three thousand dollars I ever spent.

{The Paper comes down again. After another pause, Strong Bad speaks again}

STRONG BAD: {click} Don't forget to experience the fury of our gift shooop. {click}

Easter Eggs
* Click on "buisness" after Strong Bad says it in the first part of the email to see a picture of The Ugly One and Cheerleader.
** Cheerleader looks angry and is wearing a dress that says, "kiss boys". She has a speech bubble that reads, "the ugly one, why you always gotta be all up in my bweez-NASS?" The Ugly One looks sad.

* Click on "Rafi" to see a mock NFL patch.

* Click on "Mount" in "Mount Ridesplace USA" after Strong Bad says "USA" to see Monkey D's season pass.

* Click on the next to last Bubs doll on the lower row, left side in the "Throw Game" stand to see a real Bubs plushie thingie.

Fun Facts
Trivia
*The paper on Strong Bad's desk is labeled "plans for stuff".
*This is the first time we hear Homsar talking without his hat hovering over him.
*The box in the throw game appears to be labeled "BOX FOR THROW GAME", in all capital letters.
Remarks
*Strong Bad grows the moustache hair through his mask.
*Roller coasters don't usually have circular loops on them like the Bowels of Trogdor, because the G-forces involved, indeed, usually cause people to pass out. No one usually catches fire, though.
*Strong Bad pushes his thumb far out of his boxing glove when he sends the Cheat to Sweet Cuppin' Cakes land. This wouldn't usually be possible with a real boxing glove.

Goofs
*When Pom Pom hits the bottle with the ball, a crashing sound is heard yet it doesn't break.
*At the end of the SBRQSV, look for the stop sign. It's not there! It disappeared when The Cheat rode by in the "R.Q. 2".

Glitches
*When the SBRQSV is over, the water stops flowing from the hose.
Inside References
*The "headhunter" is the bear holding a shark cardboard figure from date.
*Pom Pom throws rings around an "Xtra Cold One", first seen in Cheat Commandos Commercial.
*The music played during Strong Sad's "Stunt Spooktacular" is the same music that was used in The House that Gave Sucky Treats.

Real-World References
*The Strong Badian Riverquest Safariventure is a parody of Disneyland's Jungle Cruise ride. Strong Bad does not breath or show any expression and this monotone delivery is reminiscent of Jungle Cruise tour guides who give the same tour over and over again. The shooting of a warning shot (in this case a flare gun) to scare off the bear and shark "headhunters" is directly from the tour guide script. Most of Strong Bad's speech correlates to the tour.
*The "Ryan S." on the box of General Tso's chicken may be a reference to Ryan S. (Ryan Shoulders) from the TV show Survivor: Pearl Islands (airing in late 2003). In episode 2, Ryan S. goes to pick up a message (aka "treemail" on the show). While picking it up, he says, "The treemail, the treemail, wha wha the treemail," a play on the opening to techno.
**More likely, however, "Ryan S." is a reference to Ryan Sterritt, a friend of the Brothers Chaps who has helped with the website in the past.
*Strong Bad's reading of the name as 'Rafi' might be an obscure reference to a Canadian children's entertainer, Raffi.
*The Bowels of Trogdor might be a reference to the now obsolete ride, Fireball, at Morey's Piers in Wildwood, NJ.
Strong Bad Email #122

Strong Bad describes for us what his perfect email would be like.

Cast (in order of appearance): Strong Bad, Female Lappy 486, The Cheat, Homestar Runner

Date: January 10, 2005

Transcript
STRONG BAD: {singing} Oh oh, email's in the backyard, makin' some stew...

<pre>subject: Perfect email
Hey StrongBad,
I was just wondering: what do you look for in an email?
Another words,</pre>

{Strong Bad temporarily stops reading}

STRONG BAD: Oh look! And there's some "another words."

<pre> describe that dream email that you would like
to recieve one day.
With lots of anticipation,
Danny Gedgafov from Glenview, IL
</pre>

{Strong Bad has difficulty reading Danny's name, resulting in the following}

STRONG BAD: Danny Geh-geh-geh... gih-gih-gih... Gekakoff from Gliggityfoo, Illinoise. {typing} My dream email. My "dreamail." {clears screen, resumes typing} Well plain ol' Danny, there are a lot of email-fish in the Email Sea. And while most of them are those nasty bottom-feeders with the suckhole mouth, there are a few that break the glimmering surface of the water, to glisten in the sunset for a few fleeting moments like some kind of glorious e-marlin. Another words, please allow me to ditch the fishing metaphor and hit you with the pink border.

{A pink border appears around the edge of the screen, causing the center to turn white. The whiteness fades into Strong Bad at the Lappy, which now has a golden chain license-plate cover around its screen reading "MY LAPPY ATE YOUR DOG" at the top}

STRONG BAD: OK orchestra, hit it! {The orchestra starts up, and Strong Bad sings in an operatic style} Email me tonight!

{The orchestra hits its last two notes, and the Lappy booting sequence begins. However, the Lappy emblem now looks female with blonde hair, and speaks to Strong Bad with corresponding text appearing below it}

FEMALE LAPPY 486: Good morning, Strong Bad. You're looking prooty hot. You have one unread messages.

STRONG BAD: Why thank you, Lappy. You're looking prooty hot too. Onscreen!

{Strong Bad clears the bootup screen, and reads the new email}

<pre>subject: French countryside
Dear Mssr. Elegant&eacute;, You left your pocketwatch in the hot tub. When will you be
back to retrieve it?
-128 Hot Katies
</pre>

STRONG BAD: {typing} My Katies 1-128,<br>
Good to hear from all y'all (especially you, Katie 80). When my raucous schedule {pronounced as "shedule"} permits, I will triumphantly/abundantly {pronounced as triunphantly slash abundantly} return to the chateau for my ruby-encrusted pocketwatch. I have plans tonight, however, but I will, furthermore, heretofore, be back on morrow next. Please tell Adelaide that the poached eggs were tremendous.<br>
Forever Young,<br>
Chester Elegant&eacute; {Strong Bad hits enter, and the female Lappy icon appears back onscreen as the email disappears}

FEMALE LAPPY 486: Well played, Strong Bad. Those ladies are sure to be all up ons.

{The pink border and such fades away as we cut back to the normal world}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Oh, man. If I got that email, I would have it bronzed and then dipped in...uh guacamole and The Cheat would read it to me every night at supper.

{The scene cuts back to the pink border dreamworld, this time at a banquet table (made out of a door) with large windows in the background, a covered serving tray and a golden chalice (or maybe just a doorknob). Strong Bad rolls forward in a plush chair with fork in hand to where the serving tray is. The Cheat's arm improbably stretches out from the right side of the screen and lifts the cover}

STRONG BAD: Ooh! Cadbury Cream Egg omelette! {calling offscreen} Continue, The Cheat.

{The camera pans to the other end of the table, where The Cheat is sitting in a similar chair, holding a bronze plaque with guacamole all over it. The Cheat starts to read it, then growls, rubs part of the front of the plaque, and continues. The camera pans back to Strong Bad}

STRONG BAD: {interrupting} Oh I love that part! Read it again, slowly, and... backwards.

{The camera pans back to The Cheat, who starts to read backwards. Homestar Runner walks on-camera from the left side of the screen}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {while The Cheat is still reading} The Cheat! What's been up?

{The camera pans back to Strong Bad}

STRONG BAD: Hey!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh, Strong Bad, found your pocketwatch. {Homestar tosses a ruby-encrusted pocketwatch in Strong Bad's omelette} Katie 80 said "What's up?" {camera pans back to The Cheat} So, The Cheat, what's been up?

{The camera cuts to Strong Bad}

STRONG BAD: Crap the what? The pink border is NOT holding up its end of the bargain. Come on, pink border, get your head in the game!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {offscreen} Pink border?

{The scene cuts back to the real world, where Homestar is standing to the right of Strong Bad at his computer desk}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Strong Bad, what are you talking aboot?

STRONG BAD: {looks around for a moment} Oh, we're back here.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Yeah. I found your pocket lint. {puts some pocket lint on the desk} And Marzipan says you're an ogre.

{The camera focuses back on Strong Bad and the Lappy}

STRONG BAD: {typing} Awww! I knew I should've went with a puffy white cloud border. Those things never let you down. Homestar never woulda shown up in a Puffy White Cloud Dreamail.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: I do hate white clouds.

{A center wipe suddenly happens with white clouds forming the border. Strong Bad's computer desk is now apparently in a submarine, with the text "NUCLEAR CLASS SUBMARINE 'SOCCERMOM'" painted on the inside of its hull. As Strong Bad types, some creature with a huge eye looks in through a nearby porthole. As well, the pinging of a sonar can be heard in the background}

STRONG BAD: {typing} And if you ignore all the facts and scientific evidence, then those weird little kids were right. Thanks for your question, Leonard Nimoy. I'll be back next week to solve another Celebrity Murder Mystery. {stops typing and stands up, addressing the camera} But right now, I gotta fly.

{Strong Bad strikes a pose, and strings suddenly appear attached to him. Strong Bad makes various noises as he is lifted away to the upper right corner of the screen, where he gets stuck. The Paper, which now seems to be modeled after the U.S. Constitution, comes down with the Strong Bad email link looking like it's been written on it in marker}

Easter Eggs
*Click on "e-marlin" to cause an ASCII marlin to jump from the bottom of the screen.
*Click on the graffiti on Strong Bad's dream table to see a zoomed-in view of it. It reads, "Strongbad! You go child!" and is signed "Jacke&eacute;.
*Click on the Lappy's screen at the end of the email to hear additional dialogue from the female Lappy.
Easter Egg Transcript
{The Female Lappy appears back on-screen}

FEMALE LAPPY 486: Don't fly, Strong Bad. Please come down. I worry about you. I can see the strings.

Fun Facts
Explanations
* "You have one unread messages." is a reference to many computer programs that do not special case the number one - mostly because computer programmers are lazy. A correct program would have had the Female Lappy 486 saying, "You have one unread message." It is interesting to note that some programmers would "special case" the number one scenario by saying, "You have one unread message(s)." This approach does not require any extra code - just two extra text characters.
* Strong Bad's pronounciation of "schedule" is the British pronunciation of the word.
* The misspelling of "prooty" when Lappy 486 says "pretty" is a reference to old speech synthesizers like Software Automated Mouth that forced the user to use phonetic spelling to make the words come out right.
Trivia
* Unlike most other emails, the end screen does not have any sort of "back" button.
Remarks
* At the end of this email, The Paper seems to have been replaced by the U.S. Constitution.
* Strong Bad makes very subtle fun of Danny's misspelling of "receive" by having the 128 Katies ask him when he will be back to "retieve" his pocketwatch.
* Strong Bad finally spells "y'all" correctly. (Or as correctly as such slang can ever be spelled, anyway.)
* Homestar pronounces the word "about" with a steriotypically Canadian accent as "aboot", (but that's not what all Canadians sound like)
* When Strong Bad gets up, the customary "get up noise" does not occur.
* This is one of the few emails when we see Strong Bad actually "typing". One of the other times we see this is in dullard, but Strong Bad's style of typing has changed since then.

Goofs
* The abbreviation for "Monsieur" is "M.", but it is misspelled as "Mssr." in the "French Countryside" e-mail.
** Actually, "Mssr." is the French abbreviation for Monseigneur.

Inside References
* The phrase "all up ons" is from the email suntan.
* The Celebrity Murder Mystery is very similar to a comment made by Homsar in suntan.
* When the female Lappy says she can see the strings, this is similar to an easter egg in lunch special when Homestar says this about Bubs levitating.

Real-World References
* Strong Bad's dreamail dinner table is made from the front door from the show "227" and is signed by actress Jackée Harry who played Sandra Clark on the late 80's sitcom.
* Strong Bad has two Cadbury's Creme Eggs on his plate. These are chocolate Easter eggs with "cream" (which is pretty much frosting) inside. They're sold around Easter in the US, Canada and the UK, but are available year-round in Australia.
* The Female Lappy 486 is a reference to the 1968 Kubrick classic, 2001: A Space Odyssey and the HAL 9000 computer's famously dry, "Good morning, Dave."
* The pink border is a reference to shows like Saved by the Bell, which used the same border for its dream sequences.
* The sign-off "Forever young" also appeared in an easter egg in personal favorites. It could be a reference to one of two songs of the same name: a Bob Dylan song from 1973 that became a hit for Rod Stewart in the 80s, or a (different) song by the 80s synth-pop group Alphaville.
* The email at the end is a reference to the mid-70's TV series "In Search of...", hosted by Leonard Nimoy, a show that dealt with "investigating" the paranormal and unsolved mysteries in usually sensationalistic ways. Strong Bad's line "And if you ignore all the facts and scientific evidence" reveals this, since this is how most "sensationalism" is achieved. Or it could be loosely referring to Treknobabble, a gimmick used on Star Trek to conveniently explain scientific happenings with terms that, while they sound impressive, are scientifically questionable.
* When Strong Bad says "On screen!" it is a reference to innumerable Star Trek episodes in which the captain gives the same command.
* "Please come down Strong Bad" may be a reference to the book "The Maze" by Will Hobbs.
STRONG BAD: I'm goin' to try something a little different. {typing} print out million dollar bill.exe

{The computer responds with "Bad command or file name"}
{The computer responds with "Cut it out, you."}

STRONG BAD: {not typing} What the-! Don't give me none of that cross talk! Oh well, it was worth a shot. Now on to... {sighs} on to the e-mail.

{Strong Bad hits enter, types "strongbad_email.exe," and hits enter again}

{reading}

<pre>is there a story behiend the patch
on the couch? if so, do tell!

form,
your pal</pre>

{Strong Bad pronounces "behiend" as "buh-HEEND" and "form" like it's spelled}

STRONG BAD: Ooh, my pal! {typing} Well Palbert, it's a good story. And now you all have to hear it.

{Cut to flashback of Strong Bad in the basement with a sack acting all mysterious.}

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Seems I was looking for a place to hide all my Aztec gold. But when I made the first incision, not only did I realize that I don't have any Aztec gold, {bag falls open to reveal it was full of oil filters} but I unleashed a stench of biblical proportions.

{Cut back to Strong Bad in front of the computer}

STRONG BAD: {typing} They had to call in a hazmat team just to hose me hose me hose me {typed then deleted, typed then deleted, then typed} down!

{Cut to The Poopsmith wearing a "Has Matt?" suit hosing Strong Bad down as he screams.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} I had to spend a fortune on Glade plugins.

{Cut to Strong Sad standing next to Strong Bad at the computer.}

STRONG SAD: Now wait a second! That's not how I remember it

STRONG BAD: Oh, and I'm sure every loser out there wants to hear your loser opinions, loser.

STRONG SAD: They do!

{Cut to flashback of a young Strong Bad in the basement}

STRONG SAD: {voiceover} I seem to remember a young Strong Bad thinking that Olympic sprinter Carl Lewis was a woman. And that he was hot!

{Young Strong Bad writes "Strong Bad LUVS Carla Lewis!!  and thinks shes hott!!" with a Sharpie on the couch.}

STRONG BAD: That is entirely untrue.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Lies!  All lies!

{Cut to Homestar standing behind Strong Bad.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Clearly I'm the only one who remembers how it all went down.

{Cut to flashback of Homestar laying on the couch in the basement.}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {voiceover} It was not so long ago that I was in Strong Bad's basement spitting Teddy Grahams all over the place. One of them got stuck to the ceiling.

STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Homestar, shut up! This is about that patch on the couch. It's clearly already on there in your flashback.

{Cut back to the two Brothers Strong and Homestar at the computer}

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh oh ohhhhh. I thought this week's e-mail was entitled "Teddy Graham Memories."

{Cut to shadowed "This guy's voice has been digitally altered" interview session}

MYSTERIOUS PERSON {Clearly Coach Z}: No, no. I got the real scoop. Strong Bad had me over for Gumbo one night, and I don't know what kind of doodoo meat he was using in there, but I had to puke!

{Cut to flashback of Coach Z's shadow in the basement}

COACH Z: {voiceover} So I went downstairs and I noticed this little rip in the couch, so I puked in it!

{Coach Z's shadow pukes in the couch. Cut back to interview session}

COACH Z: {voiceover} I... I'm sorry for what I done!

{Cut back to Strong Bad in front of the computer}

STRONG BAD: {typing} I liked that gumbo! I didn't use no doodoo meat. If I ever find out who that guy is... Well, palbert, there's your answer. Me? I'm gonna go over there.
Fun Facts
Explanations
*When The Poopsmith is hosing Strong Bad, he is wearing a blue shirt, reading "Has Matt?" Obviously a "got milk?" take off, this is also a play on words with "hazmat", which stands for Hazardous Materials.
Inside References
*In the "make homestars head explode.exe" easter egg, Homestar Runner asks The Cheat, "Did you ever like, pour Mountain Dew all over it?" That is a reference to the email anything, when Homestar Runner pours Mountain Dew all over Strong Bad's computer.
*The Cheat's Head Exploding is a running gag.
*The "Stench of Biblical Proportions" makes a sound similar to Bad Graphics Ghost.
Real-World References
*Little Strong Bad is wearing a shirt featuring a rather well known advertisement for "Rock City", a tourist trap in the south.
*Strong Bad repeating "hose me down" seems to be a reference to skate videos.
*The fact that Strong Bad says "a stench of biblical proportions" refers to The Bible and the history of destructions in it, often on a large scale such as The Flood and Sodom And Gommorah.
*"Palbert" may be a reference to the TV show/comic strip "Dilbert" in which many principal characters living at Dilbert's home have the same naming convention: Dilbert, Dogbert, Catbert, and Ratbert.

Summary
A game where you try to save the ducks from various hazards and lead them into a spaceship.

Page Title: Duck Guardian One! Save a Duck, Save THE WORLD!!

Instructions
Protect the ducks using a variety of rays! Use the mouse to move the ray target crosshairs, and the desired number key to fire a ray (The keys used are noted below). Use P or the Enter key to "paws" the game at any time. There are 33 Levels total.

Ray Types
* Direction Ray (1): The ray you begin the game with. When fired at a duck, it will reverse the direction it is going in, useful for dodging falling robot heads.
* Jump Ray (2): Earned in Level 3. Enables ducks to jump over pits and robot dogs.
* Freeze Ray (3): Earned in Level 9. Freezes ducks solid, rendering them temporarily immune to robot dog attacks. Be warned that other ducks cannot pass frozen ducks, and robot heads still crush frozen ducks.
* Double Jump Ray (2): Replaces the normal Jump Ray in Level 13. Enables ducks to jump in mid-air.
* Hatch Ray (4): Earned in Level 17. Cracks open falling eggs, causing ducks to come out. Be warned that, if used on live ducks, it blows them up.
* Armor Ray (5 or Space Bar): Earned in Level 27. Renders ducks immune to robot heads and dogs, but unable to jump.

Hazards
* Robot Heads: Fall from the sky to crush your ducks. Only the armor ray renders your ducks immune to a Robot Head attack.
* Spaceship Door: In certain levels, opens and closes. If closed, ducks cannot enter the ship.
* Bombs: Fall from the sky to open pits in the ground. Will kill any ducks they fall on.
* Pits: Holes in the ground created by Bombs and Hatched Eggs. Will kill any duck unlucky enough to wander into it.
* Robot Dogs: Run from the left side of the screen to the right, eating any ducks unfortunate enough to get in their way. The Freeze and Armor rays protect your ducks from a Robot Dog attack. Can be jumped. {The city light will flash shortly before the Robot Dog comes out on the prowl.}
* Falling Eggs: Fall from the sky and crush ducks. They remain on the ground and block ducks that walk up to them, but can be transformed into two or more ducks using the Hatch Ray, but will leave a pit in the ground. Can be jumped.

Fun Facts
*The carton pack for this game is reminicent to the Pitfall! Atari 2600 game, using the graphic style from many of the Activision games of that era. Secret Collect also uses this style on its carton package.

*This is making fun of the "Lemmings"-type games.

*The eggs kinda look like Yoshi's egg. (from the Mario series.)

*This game was first mentioned in the Email FAQ's, where one of the many things Strong Bad does is hold up a game and says "I gotta' play my new copy of Duck Guardian 2!" That also explains why this game is sometimes called Duck Guardian 1.

*When you beat the game, a screen shows up that has an astronaut handing one of the ducks (dead) on a plate to a strange alien, and the text says "Well Done, Duck Guardian!! Now the people of Vexar VII will not go hungry!"

*Users without Flash Player 7 installed receive an interesting , which seems to cleverly reference player culture.

*The hint for Level 11 is a reference to the old adage "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."

*The hint for Level 31 is a possible reference to the Frog and Toad series of books.

*This game was also referred to on Main Page 22, where two ducks walk across the screen and explodes.

Glitches
*If you pause the game, the Spaceship Door still opens and closes. So if the door is shut at the moment your duck arrives at the door, simply pause the game and wait for the door to open.
*Sometimes, if you use the direction ray right when a duck is next to a closed spaceship door, they will go in.
*You can armour then quickly unarmour ducks in midair, then make them double jump again! With this glitch, ducks can make it all the way across without even touching the floor. If robot heads are falling, simply armour them when they're up high, then unarmour them once the robot head has passed. Makes the game much easier.

Hints and Tips
* Using the Direction Ray on a duck repeatedly agitates it, causing it to run faster and jump farther.
**This technique can be used for a fun, little "cheat"; although it's not very effective on some levels. Fire the Direction Ray without releasing it close to the left side of the screen so that the ducks cannot pass, and "hold" them there for a bit (as long as you can). When you release the ray, the ducks sprint, and you can "shoot" all the ducks across the screen at once. (If they're fast enough, they will run right over holes in the ground!) Also fun: firing the Jump Ray immediately as you release the Direction Ray. Freeze them to protect from dogs and they'll retain their agitation. They'll all jump the whole screen to safety in one lightning fast swoop, as long as the door is open at the time, of course.
* You can use the Direction Ray on ducks in mid-air. In fact, you can use all of the rays on ducks in mid-air. Armored ducks fall faster than frozen ducks because they're heavier.
*On Level 12, if you ever get caught up with too many ducks you can freeze them and work on others (there are no robot heads to hurt the ducks). However, the duck may unfreeze before a robot dog comes and then the duck is toast.

* Robot Dogs: Run from the left side of the screen to the right, eating any ducks unfortunate enough to get in their way. The Freeze and Armor rays protect your ducks from a Robot Dog attack. Can be jumped. {The city light will flash shortly before the Robot Dog comes out on the prowl.}

Atari 2600 game.

Revenge of the King

BriMiWei: fun fact addition

Revenge of the King is a game where you play as Strong Bad trying to defend your castle from The King of Town's cannons by catapulting food at him. You earn 10 points for every hit, while the KOT earns 25. This game is found on the King Of Town Main Page by following the easter egg in the The King Of Town DVD.

Transcripts
You win
{Strong Bad is in the foreground chowing down on cupcakes. The King of Town is being lowered by a rope into a pot of hot butter.}

STRONG BAD: In your face, KINGY!

THE KING OF TOWN: The punishment is not too bad, eh?

You lose
{The King of Town is in the foreground chowing down on cupcakes. Strong Bad is being lowered by a rope into a pile of whatsit, being watched by The Poopsmith.}

THE KING OF TOWN: I rule the school!

STRONG BAD: Uh-oh. This is about to get a lot more unfortunate.
