:Though I think that Press Your Luck is the kinda thing TBC would reference, I immediately thought of Wheel when I heard that, and I'm sure about 99% percent of everyone else did, too. Wheel is a lot more well known then Press Your Luck, and if TBC are going to make a reference, they usually make it obvious as to what they were referencing. Beyond that. the best we could do would be a walkthrough or hints on triggering Easter eggs. Related topic: As part of the announcement on the [http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-344 Telltale Blogs], it was mentioned that a second gameplay trailer was coming out in the near future, and part of it was featured in the "On The Spot" episode. (It focuses on Strong Bad talking to Marzipan at the party, and then shows some additional activities that Strong Bad can do.) I suspect, that since this is the first episode of a new series, there might be multiple transcripts for this episode. Reopening topic- In the interim I've played two Sam & Max games (Abe Lincoln Must Die! and Ice Station Santa), and I've found the way that Telltale handles the [http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax/icestationsanta Walkthrough and Did You Try? sections] especially to be good models on how we want to model how we handle the game pages. Like [[Stinkoman 20X6]], it might be necessary to subdivide that page, but Walkthrough for the main plot, and then hints for eggs or side question locations (such as manual pages, costumes, index cards, etc.) would be the way to go. {{User:Wbwolf/sig}} 22:30, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

I got a glitch after playing through the tutorial. Homestar's eyes are gone on the Main-Page-style title screen. I have a screenshot. Okay, the first episode's out and this article needs to be revolutionised. Here's all the stuff we need to do, or at least, consider:
*List all the Easter Eggs and other secrets.
*Record all the Fun Facts, including Trivia, Remarks, Goofs, Glitches, Inside References and Real-World References. If these lists get too long, we can create individual articles for each section, a la [[Stinkoman 20X6]].
*Write a walkthrough. One section can tell you how to blast through the game, other sections can detail how to get 100% ranking.

If we do Responses pages, I recommend having a main [[Homestar Ruiner Responses|responses]] page and breaking the actual (non-generic) responses into the following:

If we do this, it'll be a massive undertaking; even though the game is fairly short for a game, it's still longer than any H*R cartoon ever and has lots of hidden dialogue.

First off, we know that part of getting the Nuisance Trophy is: "Talk to Homestar in the locker room 3 times about the race." But(!), if you first use the onion on Homestar and THEN talk to him about the race three times and THEN (without exiting the conversation) talk to him about showering, you won't get that 20%. Another way to put it: If you use the onion on Homestar and THEN talk to him three times about the race, you MUST exit and restart the conversation BEFORE talking to him about showering, or you will not get the 20%. Anyhow, I wanted to ask - did anyone else think that that the photo booth, Snap Shak, was a reference to the TARDIS from the British sci-fi show Doctor Who? Specifically what Strong Bad says as he steps inside for the first time - that it's bigger in the inside that it is on the outside, which is usually what people say when they enter the TARDIS for the first time :) I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, I looked but didn't find any topics on it. Thank you for the warm welcome and the tip about signing my posts, GreenHelmet :) And thank you to DorianGray for pointing out that HomestarRunner has made this joke before. If it helps at all, the reasons I thought the Snap Shak was a specific reference was first of all, it's shape (it's no police box, but it is a tall, commonly seen structure that looks like it could only hold one or two people), obviously the quote about it being bigger on the inside than the outside, the comment Strong Bad makes about "...it's like it distorts time and space," reminded me of what TARDIS stands for (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space), and then, he immediately "sees" space right there, and of course, the huge wardrobe, since the TARDIS has one as well :) Unfortunately it doesn't travel through time, or it would be a perfect fit! It is a common joke, now that I think about it...I suppose I'm just such a big Doctor Who fan, I automatically associated it with the TARDIS! Haha. I don't know if things were supposed to run differently in the PAL Wii release, but there's been some form of misunderstanding regarding a couple of the music references in the Inside References section.

First of all, the two tracks at the track sound different than the referenced Bubs' Concession Stand track. I swear that the first track (heard when doing whatever you want around the track) was an original track for the game itself, while the other (during the Free Country USA Triannual Race to the End of the Race *fanfare*) seems to be in a sbemail that has escaped the top of my head.

Secondly, the music I heard when outside the King of Town's cascle was not the theme for his Very Own (Quite) Popular Cartoon Show, but the music heard during Strong Bad, Homestar and Coach Z's flashbacks for The DNA Evidence.

This is only a single instance making that version overkill. As for your span-linked (pUNKA**B****) version of the hoverlink, I don't think this is an effective solution either. There is no notice that the uncensored version is a hover link. People who'd like to see won't know what to look for and people who don't may accidentally see it. If there was a notice, then this method might not be as necessary. Then again we could have a notice that said "hover here for uncensored version", but there's still the issue of accidental hovers. The spoilers version I suggested was the ones on bulletin boards where you have a button (in this case it would say "click for uncensored version") and clicking the button would magically show the goods. == Finding Fonts ==

Let me paint a hypothetical scenario, then make a suggestion. Let's say John Doe happens onto the [[Fonts]] page and remembers that he once saw a toon that had some kick awesome font in it that he had always wanted to find to download. But, alas, upon doing a sweep of the page for the toon name, he finds it not! Discouraged and disheartened, he swears vengeance upon Trogdor and ends up getting himself killed. To prevent this tragedy, I suggest a [[Fonts by Toon]] article (or something similarly-named) wherein we might document every font used in each toon (but NOT with images for each one). I'd be anticipating separate tables for each type of toon, something like:

:::::Nothing automatic about it, but it isn't difficult to do "by hand". I start by individually opening each email (in order) until I have about 50 open in "Flash Decompiler Trillix by Eltima Software" (demo). (To do that with sbemails, I've just kept the URL <nowiki>"http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail.swf"</nowiki> copied to the clipboard, then paste it and type in just the email # each time; I'm sure it will be a bit hard with toons, shorts, etc.) The Flash file shows which fonts are a part of each file and I type those names into the table, deleting the Flash file out of the decompiler each time I complete the list of fonts for that file. One exception so far is sbemail29 which also has the font "Tw Cen MT" but there is no text in the sbemail that uses that font. That email is also unique in that all of Strong Bad's typing is done employing what the Flash file calls "shapes". It's clearly still from the font Westminster, but I feel that "fonts that are shapes" should somehow be differentiated from the rest. I'm sorry to say that TBC do this frequently enough that some fonts may be impossible to find and really will need to be compared to other fonts to determine what they are, since the Flash file gives no clue. One example is the "Here Comes The Thnikkaman" text. No idea what font that is. Also, product names are often done using shapes, like "[[School Paste]]". :Web sites don't always list the name of the font as it appears after installation. Words like "Plain" and "Regular" are often thrown in for example, but don't actually appear that way in Wordpad or whatever.
