I was really suprised just now that your not a Bureaucrat. I mean you are quiet possibly one of the best Sysops on here, thats not a Sysop, Bureaucrat.--{{User:H*bad/sig}}

:The biggest difference between sysops and bureaucrats/developers is the ability to go into the interworkings of the wiki, which is way over my head anyways. However not only is there really no way to verify interesting facts of this nature, (though in this case I totally belive you), it also doesn't really contribute to the article very muchly. However it has been added to the talk page for the article, and I do appreciate the contribution. In the future if we decide to make a list of all "Email Authorship Claims", I will be sure to add the information you have given. (Though I am curious, since you didn't exactly give much information; are you the author himself, a close friend who knows who it is, or somebody on the outside)? I wanted to make a comment about the NES endings easter egg, particularly the Metroid ending, and it didn't seem appropriate to bring it up in the cartoon discussion (plus it wouldn't make sense to anyone besides us). The screen that it shows, "You Fulfiled Your Mission", et. al., either features a Samus Aran in her normal suit or, if you enter a certain code (the famed JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------ code, for example), a suitless Samus, as it shows in this instance. VGMuseum shows both variants as an animated gif. Both variants do not show in the same ending, you either get the normal variant or the suitless variant if you put in a suitable code. It is the following screen which is then based upon time, and that screen does not feature any sort of text. When the game is completed under 3 hours, that screen also shows Samus in a red suit...whereas if Samus is suitless, she will always be seen in a green suit on the first screen. Anyway, I just felt like mentioning it. By the time you read this, I will probably have edited the page again and I wanted to explain the reasoning behind it instead of it potentially resulting in a siutation where we are constantly changing each others' edits. Is there a point you're trying to prove? Cause there's a better way to do it. For one thing, I agree with you: the fact that it's a "series" or "web cartoon" or whatever you want to call it is more what someone immediately thinks of than the fact that it's made with Macromedia Flash. But there's a reason for talking about stuff. This is a wiki. Say it with me: Wiiikiiii. That means it's not your private, personal KatanaBadia where you're sole monarch; its a sort of quasi-communist democracy-thing, sort of like a tribal village. This gets into Wikipedia philosophy, not just ours. The point is it's the product of group deliberation and majority consent. (Incidentally, that's why I spend the time on here I do; if I thought it was ''simply'' a bunch of articles about a webtoon it would be a waste of my time. I value it because I see it as a potential lab for people learning to interact with each other in a diplomatic and collaborative way, hopefully as a microcosm of democratic society. My hope is that people's experience here would lead to them voting responsibly, or get into fewer fights because they know how to talk confrontations out instead, and have seen proof that "community" and supportiveness aren't just B.S., they can actually get results. Which, by the way, is also why I want to teach middle school.

Move the article back and start up the usual discussion on the talk page. So it means a delay of maybe a week. So what? Think grand scheme of things. We're talking about a week, and it's been under this title for two years and nobody's been hurting. You're idea's good (at least I think so (although I might pick a different word besides "series")); if enough people see its merit, the move will happen, voila. If they don't, it means the move wasn't a good idea after all. (I hesitate at continuing a civics tangent, but I just couldn't delete it.
Part of being in a community means sometimes you get outvoted. You hold a minority opinion. When that happens, you either suck it up and accept your defeat gracefully or—this is tough—if you think your issue too important for you to be silent about, you have to find some way to still "play nice" and maintain caring, productive, civilized, even supportive interaction with your ideological opponents without compromising your belief. The alternatives are:
# We all try to just carve out our own little domains where we can orchestrate things our way. A society of Robinson Crusoes. Or, the net equivalent, everybody having their own little wiki that nobody visits cause nobody cares cause they're all already in their own little wikis. Low frustration; high loneliness; not a very enjoyable existence.
# We try to impose our minority view on the majority by force. The problem here is you have no agency, and you just end up jailed as a sociopath. If the minority is enough people it may be successful eventually, but by either influencing the majority through diplomacy and positive methods, or else by separating itself and forming a new society (see 3).
# Both sides hold their beliefs uncompromisingly but neither is willing to "play nice" about it. We progress to civil war. We end up either with two nations, not on speaking terms (or at permanent war, or with one subjugating the other), or far more likely, with genocide and brutal ideological oppression. I'm sure you can think of at least 10 societies just off the top of your head where this is happening or has happened. 
And yes, there are direct correllations between these macropolitical realities and the interpersonal fabric of this wiki. If we can talk things out politely in STUFF there's hope that, say, America and Iran can sit down and talk already. Every time a user flames another, the world is closer to another Rwanda. Every time someone takes the easy way out and just leaves when they're not getting their way, another statistic in a low voter turnout is born, someone who won't bother voting because he doesn't believe it'll make a difference. 
This world is made up of individual people. You can't secure world peace, but you can befriend instead of intimidate. You cant end gangs in schools, but you can make your friends feel safe and accepted. You can't end teen suicide, or pregnancy, or eating disorders, but you can fight like hell for your friends' self-images against a deadly media barrage and affirm the good and the beauty you see in them. You can't end poverty, but you can chose to do without an iPod or shop at Goodwill instead of Banana Republic, and give what you save to people who are ''dying'' so that we can maintain our "lifestyle." You can't save the world. But you can sure as heck teach middle school. Forgive me if I'm out of the loop, but I don't understand why this reference is in here, even though it seems to have been around since this page was created. From my perspective there are three reasons this sentence should be considered for removal.

First, to my (perhaps limited) knowledge, the Brothers Chaps have not highlighted this TV show as an influence, certainly not prominently enough to warrant it being the second sentence of the article.
Second, because of the previous point, this sentence seems like an insertion of mere opinion.
Third, I had never heard of this TV show before and this sentence would not have been helpful in explaining homestarrunner.com to me.

So unless there is a great consensus about the similarity of HR to H.R. Pufnstuf or documentation from the Brothers Chaps, I think we should remove this sentence.

Forgive me if I'm out of the loop, but I don't understand why this reference is in here, even though it seems to have been around since this page was created. From my perspective there are three reasons this sentence should be considered for removal.

First, to my (perhaps limited) knowledge, the Brothers Chaps have not highlighted this TV show as an influence, certainly not prominently enough to warrant it being the second sentence of the article.
Second, because of the previous point, this sentence seems like an insertion of mere opinion.
Third, I had never heard of this TV show before and this sentence would not have been helpful in explaining homestarrunner.com to me.

So unless there is a great consensus about the similarity of HR to H.R. Pufnstuf or documentation from the Brothers Chaps, I think we should remove this sentence.

Is it possible to get a contents for your user page? I see that you got one in this user talk but when I went to see what you put in to get one of em the only thing I saw seperating the "⇔Thunversations⇔" from this part of the conversation page was a in caps message about not editing above this line or haveing to face the rath of some undetermined fate. So I look all over everywhere I can't find anything in there that let's you have a contents box though I did realize that the URL is different. Am I overlooking something, Is the Box supplied when you get a long enough page, Are some pages just equiped with this from the begining? When I held my mouse over the hide / show button it reads "javascript:toggleToc()" and I know what javascript is. Whenever i go to edit something I look at where the contents are and... it pulls a Houdini.... upon hiting the "Show preview" thing It includes this in the contents. If you don't mind clearing this up for my that would be appriciated.

:The top line regarding Thundery rath and all that, is just to protect my Talk archives navigation template, so you can go from month to month of old conversations. The reason my userpage does not have a table of contents, is simple. If you look at the very bottom of the code (by clicking "edit" but not saving it) I put at the bottom a little <nowiki>"__NOTOC__"</nowiki>. What that does, is prevents a table of contents from appearing. "Don't ask me why I did it... Because I already forgot." Now whether they appear or not, is somewhere under your personal preferences, the same place you set your sig, etc. You choose in your personal settings to display Tables of Contents or not. If you choose to show them, then once a page gets more than three headers (A header is defined by a little edit tag so you can edit the sub section), then it will display a table of contents for you. Putting <nowiki>"__TOC__", "__NOTOC__" or "__FORCETOC__"</nowiki> on a page will override your preferences. The first one will make the TOC appear after a page has three headings (regardless of what you have selected in your preferences), the second one will not allow the TOC to appear, and the third one will cause a TOC to appear on the page even when there's less than three headings. Some of these are used on pages around the wiki, for instance you'll notice [[H*R.com updates 2005|The updates pages]] shouldn't have tables of contents whether it's selected under preferences for you or not. Since that page has so many headings, a TOC would be very long, therefore we use <nowiki>__NOTOC__</nowiki>. But whether they appear or not, they're automatically generated, you won't see a code for them or anything.
