linking to "running gag"

It is not proper wiki practice to link to things such as this. Please stop or I will be forced to sick a sysop on you. DeFender1031 13:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC) PS. Just to clarify, the part about the sysop was a joke, but still, please stop doing it.

Generic pages like running gag and Easter egg are generally only linked to here when we're talking about runnning gags or Easter eggs in general... when we're talking about a specific gag or egg, we leave those links out, 'cause otherwise it'd just be link overload... too many links can sometimes be less helpful than not enough. --phlip TC 13:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Show Preview

Just a tip for future reference for when you're messing with your user page: when you're editing, there is a "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button – if you use that, you can see what you've changed without saving the page, which is easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and it doesn't fill up Recent changes with your edits. --phlip TC 23:45, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
