For those reasons, I'm not really fond of giving the designs names like that. I like the idea of referring to designs by time, but it can get pretty long-winded ("A Jumping Jack Contest-era" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue). Maybe the solution is to keep the numbers but merge with the first column... could go above or below, numerals or written out...
