I'm sorry, but I'm not sure you know what a wet-dream is.
Discharge of seminal fluid occuring during sleep, sometimes but not necessarily accompanied by erotic dreams. In this context however I'm using it more colloquially to suggest the almost obscene delight with which some fans - and this is not all fans, nor just those within the HR fandom - are known to take in the thought of being in their idols' presence. Not to mention the kind of slobbering or antisocial behaviour they might engage in were those fantasies to come true

"A fan's dream" would've worked just nicely.
Actually no, it wouldn't. "Fan's dream" is too neutral in tone whereas "wet dream" better conveys the awkwardness of those "gods walking amongst us" fantasies I described above

Anyways, I don't understand your theory here. What's this "fanservice" you're talking about.
This-guy already linked Wikipedia. On further consideration "fanservice" might not have been the term to use. What I was aiming for was the general potential for H*R to be negatively affected by allowing the fanforums too much influence over it, either implicitly (through TBC simply reading this forum and absorbing too much of what various posters want rather than following their own vision) or explicitly (by dropping references to things said here as some kind of "gift" to the forum members)
