Zappa's stuff is really good when he's not being too artsy or self-indulgent. I like the really fast tapping bit at about 5:30, it reminds me of something Buckethead would play. Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if Buckethead was inspired by him...

The drums are too intrusive in the intro to this song and it really lacks flow. Not one of Slayer's best.

Man, how have I not heard of these guys until now? A fantastic progressive rock band, especially since their keyboardist is blind and mostly deaf and can still play waaaay better then most "mainstream" keyboardists.
