The Giants are making all the people who said that they were stupid for going all out last week against the Pats eat crow right now. That game lit a fire in that team that I haven't seen since their Super Bowl run 8 years ago. It's 24-14 late in the 4th quarter.

I'm loving it.

While I believe the Giants will pose a threat, I honestly can't see them beating the 'Boys. Though, I guess with the week off, they could be a little rusty.

And it will be the Bolts against the Colts. We know we can manage to steal a win from them. But with Gates getting hurt right now, I'm not sure how we'll be for next week.
And the other AFC game, the Pats and the Jags. Until last night, I really thought the Jags might have had a chance against the Pats. But when I saw that Roethlisberger (sp?) had over 300 yards in the air, I'm suddenly not so sure the Jags can handle Brady and their potent air attack.

LSU will stomp the Buckeyes tonight. I don't have any particular love for either team, but Ohio State has been singularly unimpressive so far this season.

Here's hoping we see another SEC title. They are, after all, the best conference in college football.
I'm sure some would argue me on that one, but ALMOST EVERY team in the SEC has a shot of beating every other team in the conference, yet they can still compete for a national title.

Some kid in my history class is related to a kid on Ohio State's team. He kept mouthing off how Ohio was going to win big tonight.
His cousin isn't even a first string. He's a defensive tackle, #93.

Thought I admit after Ohio State scored 10 quick points that I worried my prediction was in jeopardy.

Then LSU's offensive line started blowing Ohio State's defensive line off the block and the Tiger corners were positively blanketing their receivers and it was over.

If they are going to do this is how it should be done.
You start it the week after Conference Championship weekend.
You have 16 teams just like in D-1AA
It consists of the 6 Major conference winners, the next 8 teams in the BCS and the last two are the highest ranked mid-major conference winners.
You do the first three rounds in between Conference Title Weekend and New Year's.
Once you get the final two. You play the regularly scheduled bowl games and you have the final on the day they have it now.

Sound good?

Pats vs Jags tomorrow night. It will be intense.

One of the reasons I'm feeling good about the playoffs is that the Pats are going to snap out of that shoddy playing they've been doing. Brady's been forcing it to Moss, trying to get the record for him. Now that the only goal is winning games, he'll throw to everyone. Expect Welker to eat up the field.

My friend's dad is one of the best sports prognosticators I have ever seen. He's Nostradamus good. He has put his money on New York, Jacksonville, Seattle and Indy.

Heck, I don't care who you are. If you're a football fan at all, you should be praying for a Pats/Indy AFC Championship. I guarantee it would be better than the Super Bowl.

What if you get a Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl? I think that would trump a Pats/Indy AFC Championship game.

We all know Eli is not at the caliber of his brother yet. He's playing well now but during the entire season he was horribly inconsistent.

Brady vs Manning would trump Manning vs Manning in terms of seeing the best of the best play each other. It's like the Subway Series for baseball a few years back. A cool thing to have happen but ultimately disappointing.

Ace, do you remember what happened the last time the Manning Brothers faced off? It was a great game. Eli matched his brother at every turn. The Giants would have won the game if it wasn't for Luke Petitgout's 10 holding and false start calls.
