I don't really like Garfield either. It seems to me that it runs on this plan:

2. Bad pun, cliche or fan service

4. Humor

Hagar the Horrible is bad, but it didnt used to be, or so Im told. Zippy is flat out the worst cartoon I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Pearls before Swine is nice, but I dont understand its extreme popularity. Beetle Bailey isnt that good either, but the old ones make me laugh.

Personally, I don't know. I like reading it, though. I mean, I LIKED to, before my parents canceled their subscription to Chicago Tribune. Now we only have the crappy ones in the Southside newspapes.

Still, though, I kind of liked it. Much like my enjoyment for Dilbert.

Dilbert
Doonsebury
Calvin and Hobbes

I think all the other comics available to me are awful. But the worst? Probably a stupid local comic called "Footrot Flats" which revolves around tractors and stereotypes.

I hate all the serious comics with fancy artwork that look awesome but you just can't start reading because the stories go on for months and you eventually just stop checking to see if they started a new one.

Dick Tracy and this other one about King Arthur or something.

Argh, I HATE Shoe. All it is seems like Mallard Fillmore, but he's fat, 30 years older, and instead critiques plays..or somjething...

and those serious ones are for people who can't find work in a graphic novel.
