The Shining.
Best scary movie ever as far as I'm concerned.

Disturbia freaked me out for like five days....

Also, I was really scared for like five years by this 50's movie where a little girl kills her classmate and grandma over a penmanship award. Didn't even see it all the way through.

Yeah, I don't watch much horror...

Yeah, Disturbia got my heart pumping a bit. But other than that, I don't really watch/like horror, nowadays its all pointless gore and stuff…which really isn't horror, it's just gore.
Now old horror movies like The Birds, those are awesome.

I went through a phase in my early teenage years where I was renting and watching horror flicks left and right. They have a special place for me, and so I've seen tons of them. Off the top of my head, I've seen:

It
Poltergeist (all three)
Nightmare on Elm Street (pretty much every movie in this series)
Freddy vs. Jason
Friday the 13th (only the first one and a couple of the sequels [Jason Goes to Hell and one other one that took place in the future on a spaceship])
Halloween (all of them)
Alien (all of them)
Rosemary's Baby (fricken' AWESOME movie)
The Hand that Rocks the Cradle (if you want to classify it as "horror")
Storm of the Century
Virus
Saw (all three)
Scream (all three)
Audition
The Ring (only the two American ones, the first one being the only horror movie to ever give me nightmares)
War of the Worlds (the most recent one, with Tom Cruise)
The Grudge (just the American one, and not the sequel...yet)
Hostel (haven't seen the sequel yet)
Rear Window (both the original and the made-for-TV remake with Christopher Reeve)
North by Northwest
Vertigo
The Exorcist (just 1 and 3)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (less horror and much more courtroom drama than the trailers made you think)
Children of the Corn (just the first one)
Evil Dead (just the first one)
Night of the Living Dead (several of the movies of this and the various derivitive zombie movie lines)
An Inconvenient Truth (this should be considered horror, even if you don't believe in it...Al Gore having THAT much screen time in one sitting is just a bit creepy.)
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later

So, yeah. Lotsa movies. I'm sure I've seen others as well--just can't think of them at this moment.

I hate horror movies, but for whatever reason, I'll occasionally watch them.

The first real scary movie I can remember seeing is Sleepy Hollow. That thing really scared me.

For me it was when the girl turned into a blueberry.

The Exorcist is the only movie on the planet that has the power to scare me.

Although, I must confess, that the concept behind Soylent Green freaked me out greatly when I was eleven.

Well, I love horror movies, watching Svengoolie on boring saturday nights. I don't get scared of horror movies too much, anymore. If it's scary, I appreciate how the people who wrote the film made it that way and it doesn't bother me. Movies like:
-The Funhouse
-The People Under the Stairs (less horror more like epic mis-adventure)
-Chuckie
-HALLOWEEN, LOVE IT
-Carrie (It's kinda scary, but the book is more emotional)
-Freddy vs. Jason (action film, but still)
-Nightmare on Elm Street
