Use this thread to talk about one of the best Graphic Novels ever written, IMO.

I absolutely love Bone! I have the One Volume Edition, in all of its 1,332 page glory, and I've read through it twice. The story is so great and the characters are all so funny and endearing. Jeff Smith is a genius.

The colored versions have some inconsistency - for example, the color of the quiche-loving rat creature is constantly changing from grey to purple.

Plus, black-and-white are the originals, and they're already all out, so you don't have to wait to find out what happens. BLACK-AND-WHITE ALL THE WAY!

I remember reading one of the Bone comics when I was a kid.

I've read up to the third book, and own the first two. A great series, I love the great, direct, and mysterious storyline, with those great bits of comedic gold in the mix.

The storyline is amazing - you'll only appreciate at the very end just how planned and detailed it is- there's even a bit of foreshadowing in the first chapter of the first book!
