My 8th grade year, we had a food fight. And not a sissy food fight between 2 tables; it was big. and then all the kids ran outside to the big field and chanted some sort of rebelling chant. I guess the administration wasn't letting them leave the cafeteria, but there was too many of them and they trampled over the teachers/counselors. I participated in the food fight, but I didn't follow the mob outside. Back then, 8th graders had lunch before 6 or 7, and I guess it took so long to clean the cafeteria that the other 2 grades had to eat lunch an hour late. Good times

Now I just do the occasional tp'ing of homes and plastic wrapping of cars. Pranks take too much effort.

Get three pigs.
Label the pigs 1, 2 and 4.
Let them loose at school.
Hilarity.

and i suppose they'll be looking for pig 3?
yeah, shut up.

a good one i heard is to let cats or chickens into gap between the ceiling and the roof. i never tried it, as i never found a way to get enough cats or chickens, or a way into the roof.

Obviously it wouldn't work in an indoor school. It worked at my school last year, since it's all outdoors.

And don't tell me to shut up.

I love that one. A guy at the school across from me tried that last year. It was 1, 2, 3, and 5.

They were greased, too, so they were hard to catch.

Edit, update: I'm getting my physics teacher with a voice recorder prank. This one will invole a 6 hour track on the recorder, which makes a grasshopper chirping sound for a few seconds at intervals of a few minutes.

I'll press play, leave it in his room at the beginning of the day, and see what happens by the end of the day.

i guess a good teacher prank would be to put a cell phone somewhere inaccessible and ring it throughout the day. you know how much teachers love to confiscate cell phones. if you don't tell anyone, everybody will truthfully be saying they don't know who's it is, adding to the hilarity.

This is one that I pulled when I went to school. It's really simple.

Put some food coloring in the soap dispensers in the bathrooms. Soon everyone will have different colored hands. :p

Here's one for the home -

Put some salt on a sibling's toothbrush.

One of my friend's dads tried that one a few weeks ago. It worked quite well, supposedly.

I did something similar once, but it was more mechanical than electrical. I rigged my girlfriends locker to play the james bond theme song when she opened her locker.

One of my favorite pranks: you go to your friend's house, and get his parents in on this: have him/her get into something, and then go hide. After he/she finally notices, his/her parents are supposed to come in, and say, "Oh, he/she left because he/she got sick of watching you." Pure cruelty.

I put peanut butter under the driver's door handle of my mom's car. I did the same thing with lotion to the handle of the door my little brother always goes in on my dad's truck. Good times. Good times.

here's a basic one for a sibling at home:

When they are away, do this:
This will work if you have a room that is set up so an outlet is connected to a light switch, so you can turn on a table lamp or floor lamp with the switch. If you plug their radio (they probably have one) into the lights outlet, and turn the volume to full blast, when they turn on the switch they will be startled. Better yet, if you can get it to play a creepy message when they flip the switch that would be good. And if you can hide a camera to see their reaction: great.

I did this one today.
if you're lucky, phone shops will give you old display handsets, a flip phone is easier. get the exact same model of your friend's cell phone. then, wait 'til they put their real one down. take it without them looking. when they ask where it is, take out the display and SNAP! give them the real phone in a little while, not enough to induce crying or physical harm.

1: Fart machine. These are small devices that you can hide anywhere, and when you hit the button on the remote, it does 1 of 4 different farts.

-For college kids in their dorms:
2: Fill an accordian folder with shaving cream, insert under someone's door and stomp on it which will send large amounts of shaving cream into their room withought ever opening the door.

3: Glue you shoes to the ceiling. When your roomate comes in, be sitting on the floor rubbing your head as if you just fell. They will be extremely confused.
-[end] for college kids in their dorms

4: Super-glue coins to the ground. Watch people try to pick them up. (Hidden cameras are good for this.)

5: Purchase a "universal TV remote" from a place like Radio Shack. When walking by public TVs, such as those in a dorm lounge, change the channel without giving anyone any idea you are doing it. (Make sure you know how to operate it; usually they don't work on anything instantly.)

6: Fake blood. I actually fell for this once. At a summer camp, a friend of mine had some, and pretended it just appeard by his mouth and kept it up for a few days. I thought it was an allergic reaction. Anyways, after I found out, what we did was we tricked another kid that he hit his face into the door and got a bloody nose. It looked so real. It can be fun to use.

I like messing with my schools computers. Every morning for awhile, I would change the background to every computer to ducks. They were very nice, too. I also set the homepage from the school's website to "ducks.org". I was even gonna make a duck icon, but it online, and change all the icons to ducks, but they made me stop because it was "confusing the kids". >:[

for my birthday, I'm gonna go up to the computer lab, turn on every computer, and have them all blast arabic discoes throughout the day (I found a free arabic music website that isn't blocked by the school.)

the best prank that the guys at school know is turning the screen upsides down by pressing some keys. if I had more time, I'd probably replace the CD drives with booby trapped ones. i've got a floppy drive with a strengthened spring for more powerful disk ejecting, but nobody uses them anymore.

I don't know if you could call this a prank or a practical joke, but it is pretty funny. And to protect the innocent, I will change the people's names. I have a friend named Sarah that works for my brother Stephen at Office Depot. I was on my way to work the Kentucky Derby (which on a list of fun things to do is somewhere below sitting in a tub full of scissors) and I acted like I was talking to him on the phone. I then shouted to her, "Stephen says 'hi'." She then asked to "talk to him." I handed her the phone and she said hi only to find out that nobody was on the phone. Funny.

Two simple comp ones: Turn on high contrast by hitting Shift, Alt, Print Screen at the same time. People dont know how to turn it off.

If the CD tray uses a half gear (just look inside to find out) click it 2 spots back, it will now always stay open if the computer is on.

Once in winter me and a few friends poured water on a sloped exit out of my school, when the bell rang to go home hilarity insued.

I also stuck some bread under a door handle (an overhanging kind) and watched as people were shocked at what they touched but couldnt tell what it was.

Putting lotion or anything like that on a door so it makes it really hard to open.

Putting a buzzer in an envelope and when someone opens it, they get shocked.

You know you can kill someone that way, right?

Let's not discuss pranks that can harm a person or property.

For this prank you will need:
Access to a toilet (At home, a dorm, hotel, school, office, etc.)
Food dye

This prank works best if the toilet has a tank in the back. Most homes have tank toilets, but a lot of public places have toilets that just have a pipe connected to it.

If there is a tank:
Open up the top. Put in food coloring (any color). You don't need a whole lot, becuase food dye is concentrated, but don't be afraid to put in lots. Then close the lid of the tank. The next time someone flushes the toilet, the new water that comes down will be the color of the food dye.
-Blue makes it look like there are chemicals in the water (like an airplane)
-Yellow looks like the tank was just filled with pee insead of water.
-Green makes the water look like algea is living in it
-Red is scary (especially if the coloring isn't completely mixed withthe water): It looks like blood.
Anyways, this works very well.

If there is no tank (this works with tank toilets too):
Put the food dye in the water in the toilet. This will work only once (With the dye in the tank, it can go another flush before all the dye is out), but it is still funny to see people act weird when they see it. People will be very scared if they see red in the toilet...

Another toilet prank:
Put a small plant in the toilet. Simple as that. It will cause confusion (Note: I have never tried that one)

Yet another one:
This works best if you can get it to stay overnight:
Put a jell-o or other geletin mix in the toilet. You will probably have to use more than one small pack. If you can get clear geletin mix, then people might pee or poop on top without realizing it. It still will be funny if you use flavored jell-o, because just think: Jell-O in the toilet?

I am not sure about other operating systems, but this definately works on windows XP. (The directions are for XP, feel free to add directions for other OS's.)
Go to control panel. If you see a menu asking you to pick a category, select "Printers and other Hardware". If you see a big list of things, then go right to "Mouse." In the buttons tab, select "Switch primary and secondary buttons." This will cause the person to "right click" when they hit the left mouse button, and vice versa. If you go to the "pointers" tab, you can change the default mouse pointer to something that usually means something else (like the hourglass). If you go to the "pointer options" tab, you can change the pointer speed (making the cursor go far when you move the mouse only a little), and display pointer trails (make them long) to confuse the user when they use the mouse.
DON'T FORGET TO APPLY SETTINGS! Don't close the window untill you have applied the settings (or you can click okay).

Also, there are many pranks at:
