Nope.. They pimped it with 5 minutes to go in the Bears game...

Random question: What are they going to do with the Saints' NFC Championship and Patriots' AFC Championship stuff?

They probably recycle it and use it for the Super Bowl merchandise.

Haha, that reminds me, when I was at the Grand Canyon last year, I'm pretty sure I saw a guy with a Chicago Cubs 2003 NL Champions shirt on. I did a few double-takes and checked to make sure it didn't say 'NLDS' or anything, and I'm quite certain I saw what I saw.

It's how Paul Tagliabue starts his fire. It makes great wall paper too.

You know, I was going to come here and be gracious about the loss.

But after reading what you guys have said to me, I'm not too keen on that idea.

Hey, I hate the Pats, but I haven't said a negative thing about them. I AM happy for the Colts, though. :-)

Aww, you're right. I shouldn't have added that "Take that, Ace" on the end of my post. I just hate the Patriots, and you happen to be possibly the only Pats fan here. But anyway, I'm sorry for you that your team lost. It sucks to have your team lose one game short of the Super Bowl (I should know, it's happened to me three times). Anyway, you're still really cool, Ace. Group hug!

*group hug*

Okay, I took a shower and cooled down a bit. Not too much, but enough for this post. Check back with me in a few days. I should be fully calmed down from the loss then.

All I'll say is that I NEVER in my life thought I could identify with Yankees fans, They're my most hated baseball team, and I was ecstatic when my Red Sox came from behind in '04. But now I can understand how they felt,

Congradulations, universe. You win.

If it's any consolation, Ace, just be glad that Urlacher isn't going to be planting Brady into the turf 2 weeks from now.

Also be glad your team actually tried to win, instead of laying down like the Saints did (not that the Saints giving up was a bad thing).

I was getting tired of hearing about how it was "destiny" that they should have a good season. So their city got hit by a hurricane. Who cares? Miami's been hit so many times that it's the mascot of the university in that city.

Also: 4 weeks til Daytona!!!

I'm sorry about your team, Ace.
Congrats on your team, ChickenLeg.
Best of luck to the teams in the Bowl.

Why is the Super Bowl always so far south? Whatever happened games in the snow?

I think part of it is that they don't want either team put at a disadvantage. Think about it. If you have, say, the Patriots playing against New Orleans in the snow, who do you think is gonna play better? The Patriots, most likely, because, being from the north, they are more used to it. That's why they try to have the Super Bowl in the south, or if it's in the north, in a dome.

Yeah. That's a real downer, though. Football is not meant to be played indoors. Personally, I think every NFL city should host the Super Bowl. Who wouldn't want to see teams battling for the Lombardi trophy in the house that Vince built?

So it's cold? Boo hoo. These are supposed to be professional athletes. They can deal with it. For a LOT less than they're paid (I got paid nothing!), I've dealt with it.

The only other reason I see is because they're afraid that they couldn't sell their overpriced tickets to the "better than yous" and "Who's whos" that show up and fill the seats. So what? Let real fans fill up the stands.

Are you kidding? NO ONE in New England is sick of the Patriots. Think about it for a second. 1, this is the only time in history that they've been dominant. And 2, they're the only consistently good team New Englanders have to cheer for right now. The Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics are abysmal, and the Red Sox...well, they're a different season.

So yeah. We aren't sick of the Pats by a long shot. ;)

I would be sick of them if I lived there because camp friends will be angry at me for having such a good team, and because the Patriots are so good, theirs not really much challenge.

At least from what I've seen in the past 5 years. I don't really know their winning streak from any of those years. I just know they were good.

Anyways, what's the point of going to games if you have a 50/50 chance of getting into the Superbowl and winning. Huh? If a team is so good, that they win all the time, why cheer? They're already going to win.

But seeing as you're a New England Football fan, you've got no other choice. It'd be a better argument if he other person was from New york and California (where they both have 3 teams), and one of those teams won all the time.

I've been thinking football today and I've decided that Pats fans have nothing to be upset about.

Granted, their team blew a big lead and isn't going to the Super Bowl, but at least they're not Bengals fans.

It could be worse. If you were a Bengals fan, you'd have to deal with a team that seemed like they had some sort of team competition to see who could get arrested the most.

Ok, your argument makes no sense. You don't cheer for a team in varying degrees based on how much they win. You cheer because you're a fan. And just because you live in a place with only one team, that doesn't mean you can only cheer for that team. Conversely, if you live in a place with more teams, that doesn't mean you would freely change loyalties between teams.

And why would you cheer less if your team is doing better? Logic says you would cheer more because you're excited the team is doing well.

Something tells me you're not a big sports person, because I get the sense you know very little about having loyalty as a fan.

Oop. I didn't mean to call it an argument. I get average grades in English, so I don't even try. I always end up confusing myself.

But I realized that their record wasn't as good as some other teams this year. So, just forget what I said about the "not going to the games if I lived in Boston cause they win all the time"

For future reference, once again, I never argue. I always lose. So, I just say opinions.

My sickness of them is fading, now.

I've heard this before. They donate it all to charities in Africa and stuff.

Seeing as there's no Super Bowl Topic, Might as well talk about it here. Is there a Superbowl topic? Someone direct me to it.

I'm recording it on my tv, and watching it while typing this.

Yeah Bears! within 14 seconds of the game, #28 scores a 92 yard touchdown. Indianapolis isn't doing too well. Already 2 penalties. I think they're getting nervo-

INTERCEPTED!

Wow, the Colts aren't doing well. They might lose.

What a strange Superbowl this one is! A kickoff touchdown return, a missed extra point, an interception, a kickoff fumble followed immediately by a second fumble! It's crazy!

The commercials stink so far, in my opinion.

I guess I haven't said yet that I'm rooting for the Colts, probably 'cause one of my friends is a Bears/Cubs fan and I'm a Tigers fan, so we aren't supposed to agree on any sports teams. Plus, Peyton Manning is pretty cool. I hope scoring on the opening kickoff turns out to be bad luck like it did in OSU's game.

Yes! It's raining! Finally a super bowl that doesn't have perfect weather.

Woo, Colts winning.

The commercials have been pretty good in my opinion. I liked that Grand Theft Auto parody.

The second Dorito one was...suggestive...

Yeah, the commercials picked up a bit after I posted my initial opinions. I particularly liked the GTA parody and the one for the GPS with Mapasaurus (so weird it's good!). I hope I wasn't the only one who found the GM commercial with the suicidal drilling machine a little sad.
