And if that's an offer, I'll gladly take it up. (Though I've never heard of the Young Wizards series.) Any book with a chapter known as "The Gnome Chapter" is worth reading. And if the snipit of text is any indication it should be a very entertaining read.

*reads* I shoulda know. XD And if you're willing, I am! But I oughta warn you, some of the early chapters seriously DRAG. Do you have MSN? Or an e-mail? Because that's how I likes getting in touch.

I'm back solidly reading the Magickers now. I finished reading my book! Wahoo! Although I must say... I didn't realize the 38th chapter was so disturbing as I wrote it, but it is. Profoundly so. And I didn't realize, either, that my ending was so... Well. Odd, in the sense of a normal book's ending.

First of all, I'm past the Mulch Diggums introduction chapter of Deception.

Second, CT, as a fellow person-wanting-to-write-books-and-stuff, I would LOVE to beta yours.

Which reminds me... a senior English class here has INkheart on their assigned reading list. Curious, isn't it?

Well, on Friday the 13th, '06, I succesfully completed The End. I'm not spoiling anything, but I'll just say not everything is resolved. The ending opens up a few more mysteries, even.

i got tired of looking for my last post on this thread so i cant remember what i said last time.

im reading Macbeth for the umpteenth time because have to for english 245. i am also reading Godel Escher Bach, because it is the most intellectually challenging book i have ever picked up. unfortunately, it is also arduous and the subject matter is very different and difficult for me. nonetheless, it rocks pretty hard.

The Curse of Arkady. This series is goofy, but it's way fun.

Oh that's good, because I was wondering "Why does he need to release a secret-revealing-type book (The Beatrice Letters) after the final book, when everythings suppossed to be resolved." But since everything isn't resolved i get it now.

Edit by MHG: Fixed up that crazy triple-posting action.

For him, I can say, Kenneth Oppel.

And for me, Emily Drake. But that isn't her real name, it's her penname, and I can't remember her real one.

The Prophecy of Bane

Book 2 in the Underland Chronicles, which I gave another start(and they're pretty good.)

I'm only about 1 chapter in, but gregor's little sister is kidnapped, so the story should present itself soon.

Yes, you should be reading Good Omens. If the library doesn't have it, then go out and buy it, lad! Nine times!

Anyway, I just finished Night Watch, and I'm reading Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim before I start Monstrous Regiment. Pratchett ftw.

I would read the Artemis Fowl books... But I can't be bothered.
I went to the school library on thursday to get 1984, but they only had one copy, and it was borrowed out. And it was overdue! Grah!
So I got another book called A Solitary Blue, which was some random book about a guy called Jeff. I read it in a day, but it was actually a pretty long book.

I'm so happy everyone's getting into Terry Pratchett. My tattoo is glowing with glee.

Meh, as for me, it's study week, so I'm reading some girly fluff.

I should probably read something other then the boring assigned reading crap I get. But I'm not. Hooray, laziness!

Also, Pratchett FTW.

I'm debating with myself whether or not to splurge on the newest Arty book... It's soooo tantalizing...

Just started reading "The Eye of the World," being the first book in Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series. Never read the series before, but heard great things about it, and since I just finished re-reading Harry Potter 1-6, I thought I'd continue the fantasy trend.

I just finished Curse of Arkady. I'm fond of this series for some odd reason. The writing is a little off in places, but the story is entertaining, and the dialogue is pretty clever in places.

"Maybe we'll finally get you to believe in satallite TV and cell phones!"
"Never! Demon technolgy!"
