I've read that book at least twice before. It's pretty good, but I got confused at the end the first time. That was probably because I read it at around 3 in the morning, but I caught on to it the second time around.

I'm reading Summer with my German Soldier for my English class. It really isn't all that bad. There's even some funny parts.

I'm currently reading The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare. Very intriguing and well-written. Afterward I am going to read through the novelization of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith begin the Eragon series.

"Midnight for Charlie Bone" is on my "To Read" list, but I have to pack all my books for college, so it may be a while before I begin. Still trying to finish my book, and then I have to read that.

I just did a massive cleaning in my room and I found a lot of unread stuff that I completely forgot I had. I think I'm going to read T.H White's The Once and Future King. It's one of those books that I can't believe I haven't read yet. Although the fact that it was buried under three years worth of junk may be part of the reason why.

I saw in this thread that someone had read The Lovely Bones, and when I looked at the Wikipedia entry it seemed interesting, so I went to the library to get it out and that's what I'm reading right now. It's very good.

That's a good read. However, the title makes no sense at all and you'd probably find a lot of similarities between it and Harry Potter.

I started reading Eragon because of a friend's recommendation. Also, I heard someone here talk about 1984, so I'm starting that, too.

I'm not sure what's going on here, but I too read Animal Farm a couple of weeks ago and started reading 1984 a couple of days ago. I can't put it down.

Right now, I'm reading The Angel's Command by Brian Jacques. I pretty much have nearly all his Redwall novels and both Flying Dutchman books. The latter is actually a relaxing break from Redwall. They're good, but it seems like it's losing that little something. My favorite book of all time was the very first one, and the earlier books have that something in it, but the newer books seem to have lost it, starting with Lord Brocktree.

It's OK. Having written a book with some embarassing similarities to Harry Potter myself, I sympathize. I'm about halfway through it, and I like it so far. Billy reminds me heavily of a character from my novel called Dax. Both are seven-year-old little boys and both have an admiration for older children at their school, though Dax can't talk to animals and Billy doesn't have an imaginary friend.

I like Billy. He's one of the deeper characters in the story. In the first two books, his role serves pretty much the same, but starts to grow rebellious in the third(Invisible Boy/Blue Boa) and is no longer on that side he was on in the fouth, which also reveals something relatively deep about his past.

I relaly need to get the fifth book now to see how it ends(of course, I know how - some of the tips Nimmo left in were way too obvious.)

Oh, terrific. Now he sounds a LOT like Dax. Man, why didn't anybody warn me about this character? But please don't spoil things for me. I hate spoilers more than anything in the literary world.

Note to future authors out there: The list of magically-endowed seven-year-old-boys at boarding schools is full up. Don't bring any more!

I'm about to start reading The Risen Empire by Scott Westerfeld. It'll be my ninth Westerfeld book! Scott Westerfeld Rules! Seriously.

So I'm reading Speak for school. About an Outcast who apparantly has some deep, dark secret.

Looks good. Shame I haven't finished Last Chance to See yet...

I finally picked up a Terry Pratchett book... Thief of Time (I think). It's pretty good so far.

It's one of the "Death" books, as far as I know.

As it is still summer, I'm not reading any book currently.

You see, I can never really get into novels. I'm not some one who will just sit down and go through several chapters each day, I JUST CAN'T DO IT CAPTAIN! Sure books improve your speech, your writing, etc., but they just don't spark my interest. I'm more interested in graphic novels, magazines, and comic books. You'll only catch me reading a book when a teacher assigns it in school.

Right now, I'm reading Too Much Coffee Man magazine, issue number 22. It's an old issue, but I still get a laugh out of it! ROCK!

That's a goodun. I've got a quote from that book ("Find out what you can do!") on a post-it on my mirror. It's been there a few months, and now I can't take it down because it's got the combination to my bike lock on the other side...

When Heaven Invades Earth by Bill Johnson. I know it sounds like a bizzare sci-fi read, but it's actually a call-to-arms to Christians to set our eyes to the eternal realm, better our faith, witness to others, and bring heaven to earth. Johnson is Pentecostal, but I'd recommend it to all Christians regardless of denomination. It also helps me to see the importance of the Holy Spirit, which is cool. Reading it is broadening my horizions faith-wise.
