I would like to make this thread so that people can tell about their pets that have past away, and share their feelings on it.

My rabbit, Tango (or fuzz-ums, as we would call him) died a few months ago. We got him from a local pumpkin patch that didn't want him anymore. He was kind of tramatized (sp?) from all of the harsh kids, but was extremely cute. He lived to be about 8 years old, which is pretty old for a rabbit, I think. I miss him much. I cried pretty hard for two days.

My older dog was a black lab named Chelsea. She died when I was about 6. I remember little, but the stories and the pictures that my parents tell and show me are very heart-warming. She was 13.

I now have a cockerspaniel named Abby whom I love very much.

So go ahead, don't be shy. And please, no teasing. I doubt that anybody will, but please don't.

It's passed away. Just so you know.

My first cat, Guinness, lived for about four years or something and got hit by a car when I was nine or ten.
Then there was the second Guinness, or Morris, we couldn't make up our minds, she died at around six months, my uncle ran her over. That was a horrible horrible night...

The first cat that I had in Hawaii, Maggie, died in the road in February of 2005. It was really horrible, but in retrospect, she wasn't that great a cat. I now have three cats, Hugo, Alice, and Owen. They are more than enough and I love them to pieces.

My first two cats, Nicki and Alex, both passed away of FIV (like HIV but for cats) about 5 years ago. Alex was a cat we took in off the street, and unfortunately she was already dying when we found her. She was only in our home for a month, but we tried to make it as comfortable for her as possible and did everything we could to heal her. Nicki we had had for a few years already when we discovered she was sickly. We tried keep her going as long as possible and sometimes she seemed to be getting better. But eventually it became to painful for her to move around the house anymore, so we had to put her down. I'll never forget the crazy stuff she did. She used to pick a spot on top of something (the TV, the dryer, whatever) and live there for about a week.

I miss Zoe...

She was a dachshund/Jack Russel mix, and just about the cutest, sweetest, funniest dog ever. She loved to push rocks around with her nose for HOURS and would never bite or snap at anyone. But then the neighbors got this stupid dog that always bit people and beat up on Zoe all the time, and even though we complained they NEVER kept the stupid thing in their yard or on a leash. One day it was chasing Zoe as usual, and she ran into the road (something she would never normally do) trying to get away...

:(

That was about ten years ago, though. I have Buster, my current dog, now. He's my baby. :3

(?) Don't clones have a high risk of genetic disease due to errors in the cloning process? The page says they do a veterinary examination to guarantee health, but that doesn't eliminate the possibility of a mutation causing harmful effects later in life. Also.... why would you want your next pet to look exactly like your old one? If you like all your animals looking the same, just keep goldfish. :P

I had a fat gray-and-white cat named Cozy when I was very, very little. Eventually we took in a homeless cat named Alley, but we didn't know he had some sort of weird sickness. He passed it on to Cozy. They both died. [s]Isn't that great?[/s]

And, last year I had a cat named Time (but we had really taken to calling her Tundie) who mysteriously died. Mom keeps seeing her ghost, though. I saw it once too.

2 budgies and 2 fish. The fish sucked (never liked them). The bugies were called Kuja (zomg, Final Fantasy geek!) and Blue. Kuja is a cool name.

I think WIKIPEDIA KNOWS WHAT A BUDGIE IS!

I had a cat that died, finches, fish, my dog Bear was hit by a car about 5 or 6 years ago :((, and a rabbit, and my iguana and 2 horses. No, I'm not bad with pets, I just have so many that have died because we have over 60 pets. Seriously.

My family had one dog, Max, who died some years ago. I loved that freaking dog. He wouldn't harm a soul, and he was the only one that our old cat liked. The old cat, Mittens (named after Ralph Wiggum's cat) was a mean old one. He attacked everything except Max. He too passed away some time ago...I miss them both.

My family had a cat, Saga, who was given to us by our grandparents who were moving to Hawaii and didn't want to have to keep her quarentined. We had her for a few years, maybe 4 or 5, but about 4 years ago she had to be put to sleep, which was saddenning.

About a year later, we got, or trather my sister got a guenia pig, whom we called Chip. He lived for about 2.5 years. He would've lived longer, but I don't think my sister took very good care of him :(

Ever sicne Saga, I've veen fond of cats. I'll probably get one when I'm older, but that's a long way from now.

My dog is six, so he won't die anytime soon, and even though I never want to see it happen, I know that it will.

I had two dogs once(I still have two dogs, but they're different) whose names were Sakta and Bootsie(don't ask). Sakta wase the bigger white one and Bootsie was the little black one(they were northern dogs I think, based on the thick fur, but they were still mixed breeds). They died of natural causes.

Now I have two parakeets and two dogs.(more parentheses)

Our only pet past was Gretchen, a cat. We did, however, have two cats that vanished. One was a white cat named Chewbacca and one was a gray cat named Sam.

my sister had a rabbit called Sharky. last Christmas she was coming to visit us, and she put the bunny in this place called "bunny hotel" and i had central heating and everything. she was very happy. 2days before christmas, my sister got a call from here boyfriend saying that the heating in the rabbit's hutch had broken, and over the night she had been over heated and died.

2 days before christmas.

We let our cat, Oreo, out one night and she never came back.....

Does that count as a passed away pet? Seeing as there's probably no way she's alive be now, because it happened when I was about six or seven.....

A couple years ago, my cat George died of kidney stones. He was 4 years older than me when he died, him being 13 when I was 9. What particularly disturbed me though was they threw him away in a trash can. A trash can!

Our cat Olivia is older than me, and still alive.

...I'm 17.

And she's completely NUTS.

I think it counts, but you never know. When we left Virginia, we were going to leave our cat, Cookie, at the Humane Society. When we got there, they were closed for lunch, and for some reason or another we didn't have time to wait around for them to get back... I think that we had to actually get to the airport to fly out, or I don't know. Anyway, we just had to leave poor Cookie in her cardboard box (which didn't really close or anything) in the back of the building. I like to think that they found her, took her in, and that she was adopted by some nice people with a nice big yard... And she's still running around there somewhere.

I guess it counts as passed away, or at least lost. But I'm glad I never had to see her die.

[Edit: I just realized that Einoo's cat was Oreo and mine was Cookie. Awesome.]
